The new stuff in the skill tree is nice. But I wish that Dawn of Ragnarok wasn't so expensive. And was the Opal Gathering Missions Glitch fixed. I hope so.

JorRaptor have you noticed the changes in the combat settings with the new update. It was customized (literally said Customize under difficulty level) but when I began playing around with the difficulty level it changed those customized setting that came with the update too the old easy too nightmarish levels. Any idea how to get the Custom level back?

A permanent hood on doesn't make sense. The hood is meant to be put on in order to move indiscreetly within restricted areas.

They haven't added the ability to hide those ugly ass sheathes either. Or at the very least not have 2 on your back when you have a single 2-hander equipped. I wouldn't hold your breathe. Outside of the people who buy Helix packs this company could care less about their player base.

Same, sometimes activating Sprint feels inconsistent. I rather automatically sprint like Origins
I like that idea too. But the sprint control from AC1 to Revelations was what we were all accustomed to. Right trigger to run and hold A/X to sprint.

I do hope that they will add a second ability wheel to our range and melee abilities just like in Odyssey. It's a pain to have to switch it up every now and then.
I'd settle for a quick button to switch between the bows. Especially since you can't craft arrows.

@@MrPainterboy69 probably same guy who wanted to remove Eivor's ability to use melee weapons when riding a mount. He's probably the same guy who added cairn stones and the horrible anomalies (but only the ones that sucked)
They really need to work on more Viking themed armor and weapons the stuff now looks more like a knight's armor and weaponry
I think its because after the first hour or so you spend the rest of your adventure in England.
Historical shows and history has shown vikings didn't wear too much original armor, once they started raiding and ran into the armored legions of knights they started scavenging their gear to use instead of their animal leathers.

@LowBloodSugar3.2 ?? The samurai gear is a game exaggeration for sure, there are almost no meetings between Norse raiders and the Japanese armies of the time.
I'm just pointing out why they give some many knight like armors in game and dlc.
It's easier to justify and design knight armor when you spend 90% of your time running around England or even France.
It would be weird if you loot a military camp and the chests are full of viking armor.
@@Yokonato Back in those times it was only celtic and viking armor. Samurai didn't invade Scandinavia countries or England.
The Vikings were a pre-literate culture, don't tell that to the thousands of papyrus scrolls in every house and tree.
They should bring back that bounty hunter system that kept the game fun for me

This morning I seen my first meteorite crash. Never seen one before the new update. Tonight when I got back into the game I went back to the site to see if I could get it to respawn and I was surprised to see a burning statue of Odin on the exact same spot. It was not there before. It's right next to the Cerneley offering altar. Between Wenloch Abbey and Sudwella Monastery.
All this is amazing and great, I’m excited. The thing is I would really like to be able to use the rope dart the same way you would in the older games. Hanging npc’s is a definite favourite pastime
I have never seen a meteor since I started playing the game.
Again, the 5/5 bonus is POINTLESS against bosses or 1 vs 1 elites. It's a situational perk that only works in groups. I rather wear the paladin set and ALWAYS deal more melee dmg and have +70% energy gains at all times.
For like 90% of the game I wore 2 pieces of the paladin set, 2 pieces of the jormungandr set, and the Bellatores cloak. Lately though, I’ve found myself using other sets for fun effects since stats don’t seem to matter a whole lot
I am loving the hero set myself. it is working perfectly for me.
I like to use 2 pieces of werewolf set, 2 pieces of twilight set, and bellatores cloak. Speed and fire bonus with all speed and evasion runes on everything and a fire guard rune on the bow for a fire surrounding you on parry. Just unstoppable
Won't even lie I just use the saint george armor
@@ogstreet2390 I ignore all the current armor, cuz 99% is weak or is cumbersome. The only Armor I use is The Paladin set because it ALWAYS gives +50 damage and +70% energy gains.

Hmmm... I'm level capped and have never seen a meteor. Didn't even know that was a thing. I wish this update could roll back the damage from an earlier update that reset my progress in Paris. I was close to 100% and now I'm 0%. I went to Paris to collect the last few collectibles and noticed I had a new mission. I went to check it out and found it was just the first mission. The introductory to Paris. I just left and never went back.
Wow it only took them over a year to make stealth not comepletely fucking useless and a detriment to the game, good job Ubisoft
I do like being able to change damage input and output, when I do a new playthrough I'll have both to the max to make weapons more lethal. Just need the hoods up without shrugging about the cloak now!
I've been playing the game for over 1 year, I've completed it 100% and I've never seen a meteorite.
lol same 200+ hrs playtime literally did every main+ side activities = not 1 meteorite
Same here, playing on PC, all DLCs completed and on every day for daily contracts and Ubisoft Connect challenges. Zero meteorites.

I’m glad the weapon in the new pack was just a spear. I was mortified when I saw the spear move set from that thing.
Kind of a dick move to offer us a Glaive early on only for it to have spear animations though.
The combat system in this game left me quite heart broken, though I have played worse. Hopefully the Glaive will spice things up.
You may well have received the missing skill point, as I did. However my power level had gone down by -1 to 474. So what was the point in providing the missing skill point? 61+474= 535, not 536.

The Opals or lack of, is one of the reasons I stopped grinding this game, then I find it hard to get back in to. End game definitely needs some love.
The close camera + centered camera makes the game look so much better and can see the details of the world. If only they added close cam for combat
i think the skill ceilling is now 535,because when i loaded my game i eended up having 1 unused and 475 used (instead of 0 unused and 476 used) skill points
Glad they fixed the dag content from a brewing storm. I had essentially created a new game plus with a new manual save game, and was completely stuck at this mission unable to progress past this. Was going to have to abandon that save game until the update
Maybe this is a reach but with all the abilities they add I kinda wish they added a new ability to tweak double assassination and even upgrade it to triple assassination max. Make it so that u throw an axe if the enemy is at a reasonable distance. And if they are close enough u can use ur hidden blade on the first and ur off-hand weapon on the second and if there so happens to be a third some ways away from u then chuck an axe.
Also would be nice to hear a year 2 plans for NEW GAME PLUS! Restarting your game after the massive GRIND (NG+DLC) is a pain.
Um no I don’t make a new game I keep that save and just play other games your real crazy to think we start over

Whistle worked u just had to do it multiple times at least 2, I am max power on hardest difficulty and I am already unkillable and a breeze that need to do something the make combat more challenging, only thing I want from the new pack is the tiger mount

I wanna see a feature where you can store gear, similar to how you could on your ship in odyssey. Maybe in the longhouse in your settlement. I know all the gear in this game is unique but I still have hundreds of pieces of gear and I would like there be a way to narrow it down to what I use!

Also want a perk, where you auto loot barrels and baskets and all the small loot. There’s already a perk that auto loots bodies, but not one for the small loot barrels all around England

@@Entreped worst part is it’s an easy fix and it really breaks the immersion of the game for me personally. I almost never use two handed weapons because I like to use them individually and not dual wielded and therein lies the problem.
The custom difficulty setting were broken with the last patch, that is why they updated them here.
I reinstalled AC Valhalla on the PS4 pro a week ago and noticed the grass draw distance got a bit of a downgrade, does any one else have this problem?

Has anyone else found the Loch Ness Monster on the Isle of Skye? I've found what I believe to be the skeletal remains of the creature just southeast of the Iron Brew Mines near some ship wreckage. It is under water, has a shield in its jaws as well as a sword and looks like a spear in its ribs. Just curious if anyone else has come across this Easter egg because I haven't seen any news on it when searching it!
I just finished the game and when I loaded back into the animus I thought the teaser was part of the ending and was super confused

That's a shame i never saw a meteorite to begin with it would of been nice to see. But i was excited when you said update, and now it seems that its really not much of a update but rather somethings that should of been fixed near launch. I guess a couple of skills are nice but, are they usefull?
There was an issue with the daily contracts from REDA that I wasn´t able to get both instead only one used to spawn for me.
yeah you need to lower the difficulty to get both
Well read the description of the new skills and they suck most of them about having empty off hand empty, one is about having not rations and low hp, and not sure what an alternate shot even is. Also that cinematic thing not for the PS4 apparently cause I did not get it when booting up the game after update

After 480 hours and not yet finishing everything I moved on when Horizon came out. I'll get back to Valhalla in a few months if I remember. Great game. But I needed a break. I can't fathom how much time-limited loot I'm missing (I missed Basims swoard when I had COVID that week). That was it for me, I don't respect time-limited gains (I'm a completionist).
Is there a close camera option during combat yet? Haven't really had the desire to jump in unless they get that.

Hopfully the bow comes to reda soon, there's a serious lack of lengendary bows with special abilities like gae bolg, excalibur and thors hammer.

Something else I noticed.
Turning in trading post resources in Ireland no longer gains you experience.
You still get silver from it, but no XP.
170+ hours and I haven't seen a single meteor

I hope this update will rekindle my interest for the game. ACV is my first AC game and I tried playing it as it is with low expectations, but even so… the experience is greatly hampered by tons of bugs, glitchy animations, texture issues, abysmal loading and micro transactions. I stopped playing around 30-40ish hours and went back to play NG+ for Ghost of Tsushima for the time being. Maybe I’ll check this update and see how I go from there and give ACV another go.

They should add a new glass ballista difficulty where you get 1-2 hit from any enemy but you do 200-300% dmg also increase enemies' health
Yes i would love this the game is to easy enemy attacks are so easy to dodge i like to be able to kill quickly and be killed quickly

They’re gonna have something like this, a cursed armor set is coming in dawn of ragnarok which limits your health to 33% of its maximum, and there is a new skill that increases your damage dealt massively at low health, ur either a 1-3 hit all the time depending on your difficulty and enemy type

Hopefully this is a good sign for future games, not gonna say a good step until I see it realized in the next titles. AC should be historic not fantasy and stealth should always feel swift and creative.

@@criticalthinker8013 thats very objective and controversial. I will tell you some good titles for last gen tho. Black flag, Unity , and Origins imho. Those 3 are properly the best we got for PS4/Xbox one era.
They keep tooting paid content, yet we still miss requested features and have way more bugfixes than should be acceptable in a triple A title.
The first thing I was greeted by after the DoR teaser was my game crashing...
I haven’t finished the whole video yet, but if they haven’t added new places and things to raid with your crew in this game that’s ridiculous because it’s literally a game about vikings. You should be able to replay previous raids at least or they need to add new spots. The river raid map is cool but you can’t raid with your story mode crew and the map isn’t big enough
