i am upset that valhalla is coming to steam cause i basically few days ago spent R880 (south african currency) and had to pay 50 euros for the complete edition. lol i am mega sad
I hope you say something to your contacts at the company Jor as this is a giant slap to our faces new game plus was and still is at the top of the list of what we all wanted! And to go 2 years and not give it to us and expect us to pay for new games! I won’t buy another game at launch from Ubisoft and especially not an open world AC game until it has new game plus especially when they have gone down this Paid armour route
The lack of a New Game Plus mode is such a disappointment. You can't possibly upgrade all of your gear without literally insane amounts of grinding. And people from Valhalla said it would be the last thing they added. The Game was really fun and I would replay it fully but not now. It would be so simple, you keep your skill points and keep adding to your skill boosters and the chests would now have crafting materials to upgrade more of your gear
@@joebuckley2180 I've put at least 420 hours maybe more I got most of the weapons to gold but not all are fully maxed out, then they added the blue upgrade from dawn of ragnarock, I gave up, it's to much. Plus my game crashes all the time at the black smith.
It is completely useless to upgrade all your gear unless you’re a completionist (which i am). In that case, the game has so much to do that a little grind is not so bad. And also, they made sure to add new ways to get materials with the post launch updates
It took 2 years, but after tireless effort from the whole post launch team for this billion dollar game, they finally worked out how to let you wear a hood in assassin's creed
@@TaIIer They stopped development on the game and are moving on. They aren't going to continue investing money into a game that is DONE and no longer making them $$. Especially when their devs have moved onto other games, so no, NG+ will never be added to Valhalla. Sadly.
Wow, that and getting swords are literally the only two things I've cared about since launch. As a massive fan since AC1's first reveal, I'm glad they FINALLY decided to fix their game. Super dumb decision to ever make it be forced down in combat, hope they never do that again.
For all people saying they not bothered about NG+ .. well I am ... im so annoyed they didn't work it out .. they've had 2 years .. ng+ runs are my favourite runs. As I can play the game without having to look under every stone..
100% agree dude. Especially in RPGs; it's actually a big factor for me in deciding if I want to buy a game or miss it altogether. Not saying that I don't but any games if they don't have it, but NG+ is endless replay value in my opinion.

with no NG+ what's the point in getting the end game gear and doing all the cool stuff if you can't do anything with it? most of us don't care about new rewards, we just want to replay the game while keeping all the cool stuff we unlocked. this is a huge kick in the nuts and a major strike against further support of ubisoft titles.

I mean, the only reason that some people put in 100+ hours was because they were waiting to replay the game in NG+ with all the gear and abilities upgraded. There is no reason they can't give NG+ and just put upgrade materials or even just silver in chests. Personally I'd like to just re-explore everything fresh while still feeling like I don't have to grind to upgrade all my crap.

An option to switch some particular festival on/off (like seasons in AC III) would be cool. Like, technically, all the stuff is already in game files, so why don't let us experience the festivals whenever we want?
We had many issues with the festivals over the years especially on older consoles. If they give this feature it will likely not go well and again they have no plans to update the game after this.

@@theoneudntknow1955 well I won't argue that sometimes Ubisoft is sometimes lazy coding and game creating is not an easy thing to do. Think about how long it takes for some of these updates to come out and then think about how much longer it would be if they had to add whole new systems of progression which are not easy to implement because you would have to play test every little bit of it to make sure is bug free and not full of glitches which alone would take days if not weeks to do then you'd have to set up new rewards for the progression system which would then take a long time. Then you'd also have to make sure the community is satisfied with it and if they're not you'd have to redo the entire thing again and gaming communities are not easy to please

This is such a huge letdown about no new game plus because I've been looking forward to it for 2 yrs, if they're so worried about the no new rewards in chests or stuff like that, they could have replaced the armor/weapons in the chests with opals or money or some other materials or hell they could have just put in different colored variations of the armor/weapons in them which would have been amazing. It's just so sad and disappointing that after all this time Ubisoft is just not gonna give us the number one thing that literally every fan has asked for since day one over something so small that could have easily been fixed
A simple ng+ similar to From's games is all I would've wanted. Elden Ring's ng+ isn't anything crazy. It just allows you to play the game with your stats and gear intact.
I would just make the wealth chests give silver. Silver can be exchanged for cosmetics, skill/mastery points, upgrades on the gear you originally got, etc. I just want to replay the world events, really

I hate being a sticker about this but as an American I could careless about Baghdad. And I can already see the poor sales incoming. Just cause of the location of AC: Mirage is taking place in. I'd be shocked if the game doesn't get PR destoyed. At least in the US and UK. Two of what I know are Ubisoft and the AC franchises largest buying nations.
I really wanted a new game+ option JUST to replay the story with everything I've unlocked, ESPECIALLY with a hood on during combat setting. This is pretty upsetting for me tbh. Still, I'm excited to play this new content (and then finally drop Valhalla for good).
I just hope that any future content has weapons and builds similar to Odyssey. It was so fun fine tuning a build using mastery points and having weapons that had a specific function and power.
Omg yes! That’s what made the combat so fun, being able to create the build you want and having to be smart about the perks and stats.. Our best bet is we’ll have it in Japan game since the same team is doing it
I'm sorely disappointed. NG+ would have made Valhalla more enjoyable. So what if they can't find some good replayability value just because they're using a different system? I just wanna experience the story again with all the skills and gears. Just what went down in their head, thinking they can't add New Game Plus? I don't mind not getting NG+ exclusive rewards, but its a massive missed opportunity. While I'm more lenient on criticizing decisions made by AAA game companies, Ubisoft really messed up on this part.
That origin and odyssey are still playable because of New game+. I always create two files. One for a new game plus which is my original playthrough, then another with a new game if I want to experience some difficulty... I still hope they are joking...

I saw this coming. They want to redirect their focus to something they can make more profit off (mirage) instead of a free ng+. To their defense, they did give us some good free content but this a bummer for sure. Don't know why they can't make ng+ versions of base game armor or at least make another currency for ng+ that you get for opening unique chests. Heck, they could have thrown ingots in it and I would have accepted it if it meant ng+.

@@haydenTenno- Yeah, but there were rumors that they would reintroduce the DNA level select feature from the games pre Origins with NG+ in Valhalla. If not NG+, then DNA select should DEFINITELY be there. But still, you have a point.
150+ hours in and haven't completed the game yet. I wouldn't have bought the helix sets I did if I'd known there would be no game plus. I just assumed there would since the last two had it. I played game plus on both previous titles and enjoyed the story even more since I didn't have to grind everything out. Such a bummer on this one, man. This game is such a long grind I don't think I could bring myself to do it again without a new game plus.

I'm 180+ hrs into the game too and was planning to plat the base game and well... I dont have the desire anymore to do that considering there's no NG+ to enjoy our efforts in grinding equipment, materials, etc

@@Hidden_Creed my first idea was (if they wanted to remain half-assing things) they could keep the same chests on the map like before and puzzles but have them include new gear exclusive to NG+ and after the quest where you take over the plot of land for Ravensthorpe your settlement would go back to how you had it on your finished save and youd be able to re-do the settlement quests as desired. That would be like basic NG+. Or not include anymore chests and just let you do the main story and side stuff again.

My game still crashes when I go to the blacksmith, sad that 2 years there's still tons of bugs, I can't wait until this update to put a end to this journey, overall I liked the game, lots of things I didn't like but I don't regret the time I put in. I'm embarrassed by the hours my saves say lol.

I would agree, New Game Plus is now an RPG standard in the industry and its a massive middle finger to the community for this not being added, gonna be honest that news alone made me Uninstall the game as there's no point to play the final update, I also hope they learn from this in the new RPG focused title codenamed "Red"
New game plus is a standard for me in very long rpgs but rpgs like some nintendo rpgs like pokemon that you could finish 10-20 hours mix and match your big six pokes i am not bothered by it. Rpg games that is filled with fking bloatware like ac valhalla and even the witcher 3( i know it has just giving an example) not having ngp is massive fk you from developers we dont wanna fking invest another 150 hours looting every diagrams, legendary armor etc etc. People just wanna have ngp even if there is no new content to it ubisoft devs are just making it too complicated by not adding ngp because they cant put new content on it

I'm going to laugh my ass off if Mirage will have New Game + compared to Valhalla which won't. Honestly I am already expecting that to happen. No NG+ is a massive disappointment since many won't replay the game all over again due to the massive XP and Material grind for equipment. At least this Viking glitchy buggy nightmare is at an end.
Who knows if they stick to what they Said about mirage then probably not because mirage won't be an rpg so you can just start again and replay the story like with the older games but with origins, odyssey and valhalla being rpgs origins and odyssey both had new game plus but with valhalla having the most replayability due to its size and the amount of content you'd think having new game plus would have bin a priority as it would also help to keep the game alive but no new game plus such a missed opportunity
I completed the game ages ago I’ve also done the new dlcs too I haven’t played the game for so long and I was excited to come back to the game but now that new game plus ain’t coming there’s no point in me re installing the game to play it, they really should put it into the game so many people would come back to the game to play it with all the nice gear, it’s just a shame really
It’s so sad that there won’t be new game plus; but then again, the sadness might just be the feeling you need to play the Final chapter as a real final goodbye to the game
God of War 2018 & Ghost of Tsushima both have incredible NG+ modes, even AC Odyssey had one. It doesn't need to make sense, it doesn't need to be complex. Just take our current character and put them in the beginning of the game and it's fun. I dont think they were ever on board with NG+ and the excuse they gave about its absence made it seem like they just didn't care about it. I think they want to just get this game over with and move on, which really sucks for people who enjoyed the story

They should make ng+ with random rewards in chests. If you already beat the game, just add a randomizer that gives any color scheme to the equipment that exists in the game. Like sure, some color combinations might look shit if it is completely random, but if I already have a different version of armor or a weapon from my first play through with its intended design, I would have fun searching for any equipment on my second go if I knew there was the potential of finding a unique version in my game different from other people. Like, you know how a lot of people got upset that one badass templer looking armor goes from a red cape to blue when you upgrade it? Just give random color options to everything on NG+ and see what random shit the community finds.
About new game plus, I would be perfectly happy to just get to keep the cosmetic aspects of the gear and the skill points. Would not mind to have to track down the pieces in game I want to use, but to be able to at least customize the looks of Eivor from the start would go a long way in replayability.
No NG+ means I won’t even play the final update content. This makes me so mad, we’ve been waiting for years. I got 400 hours in the game and did absolutely everything to prepare for a NG+ that’s never coming.

Ouch. Total bummer about NG+. It’s hard wanting to replay EVERYTHING especially after you grinded and beat the OG game when it first came out. I’m glad I started another playthrough over a year ago though. So at least now I don’t have to do all the new stuff completely from scratch…
Best hope would be to absolutely blow up ubisofts forums and everything with requests for New Game Plus. Shadow of War added endless sieges because of overwhelming requests. It's our only hope. So sad, think I'll never play AC again if this is how little they value their customers.

I’m coming back to Valhalla since it’s been put on gamepass and I’m noticing 2 new things one is the hidden ones cape got another visual update and there’s a new building you can make and it seems to let you make your desired runes for armor and weapons and I definitely know this wasn’t added with the last update
I feel sorry for out fellow assassins who have been teased Ng+ whilst they hoped to complete previous bugged trophy's that block their platinum trophy in a Ng+ file! No they have to restart the whole game living in hope that they don't get bugged out again!!! No option to switch between festivals? I was looking forward to this more than anything. The settlement feels more lively with the festivals, but now, the festival grounds will remain empty for good. I didn’t mind restarting my game and looting for upgrades. It felt more natural having the appearance of my armor slowly improve throughout the different arcs. I have several helix armor sets and find myself using the tier 2 raven’s clan skin over them in late game. Sad day for everyone, whether it be NG+ or the festivals - we’re all going to be missing something this December.

I haven’t played this game in ages. And now that I know NG+ plus isn’t coming I’ll just have to say a big FU to ubisoft. If there’s anything that would bring me and thousands of people back to play this game it would be NG+ but ubisoft don’t give a F about the community
I don't think you realize how difficult it is to create a whole new system of progression and rewards to make it worthwhile to do a NG+

@@theoneudntknow1955 well I won't argue that sometimes Ubisoft is sometimes lazy coding and game creating is not an easy thing to do. Think about how long it takes for some of these updates to come out and then think about how much longer it would be if they had to add whole new systems of progression which are not easy to implement because you would have to play test every little bit of it to make sure is bug free and not full of glitches which alone would take days if not weeks to do then you'd have to set up new rewards for the progression system which would then take a long time. Then you'd also have to make sure the community is satisfied with it and if they're not you'd have to redo the entire thing again and gaming communities are not easy to please

This is such a huge letdown about no new game plus because I've been looking forward to it for 2 yrs, if they're so worried about the no new rewards in chests or stuff like that, they could have replaced the armor/weapons in the chests with opals or money or some other materials or hell they could have just put in different colored variations of the armor/weapons in them which would have been amazing. It's just so sad and disappointing that after all this time Ubisoft is just not gonna give us the number one thing that literally every fan has asked for since day one over something so small that could have easily been fixed
They can't even fix bugs still in the game, they are to lazy to figure it out.

A simple ng+ similar to From's games is all I would've wanted. Elden Ring's ng+ isn't anything crazy. It just allows you to play the game with your stats and gear intact.

I would just make the wealth chests give silver. Silver can be exchanged for cosmetics, skill/mastery points, upgrades on the gear you originally got, etc.

I hate being a sticker about this but as an American I could careless about Baghdad. And I can already see the poor sales incoming. Just cause of the location of AC: Mirage is taking place in. I really wanted a new game+ option JUST to replay the story with everything I've unlocked, ESPECIALLY with a hood on during combat setting. This is pretty upsetting for me tbh. Still, I'm excited to play this new content (and then finally drop Valhalla for good).
I just hope that any future content has weapons and builds similar to Odyssey. It was so fun fine tuning a build using mastery points and having weapons that had a specific function and power.
Omg yes! That’s what made the combat so fun, being able to create the build you want and having to be smart about the perks and stats.. Our best bet is we’ll have it in Japan game since the same team is doing it

I'm sorely disappointed. NG+ would have made Valhalla more enjoyable. So what if they can't find some good replayability value just because they're using a different system? I just wanna experience the story again with all the skills and gears. Just what went down in their head, thinking they can't add New Game Plus? I don't mind not getting NG+ exclusive rewards, but its a massive missed opportunity. While I'm more lenient on criticizing decisions made by AAA game companies, Ubisoft really messed up on this part.
That origin and odyssey are still playable because of New game+. I always create two files. One for a new game plus which is my original playthrough, then another with a new game if I want to experience some difficulty... I still hope they are joking...

I saw this coming. They want to redirect their focus to something they can make more profit off (mirage) instead of a free ng+. To their defense, they did give us some good free content but this a bummer for sure.
Don't know why they can't make ng+ versions of base game armor or at least make another currency for ng+ that you get for opening unique chests. Heck, they could have thrown ingots in it and I would have accepted it if it meant ng+.

@@haydenTenno- Yeah, but there were rumors that they would reintroduce the DNA level select feature from the games pre Origins with NG+ in Valhalla. If not NG+, then DNA select should DEFINITELY be there. But still, you have a point.

150+ hours in and haven't completed the game yet. I wouldn't have bought the helix sets I did if I'd known there would be no game plus. I just assumed there would since the last two had it. I played game plus on both previous titles and enjoyed the story even more since I didn't have to grind everything out. Such a bummer on this one, man. This game is such a long grind I don't think I could bring myself to do it again without a new game plus.

I'm 180+ hrs into the game too and was planning to plat the base game and well... I dont have the desire anymore to do that considering there's no NG+ to enjoy our efforts in grinding equipment, materials, etc

@@Hidden_Creed my first idea was (if they wanted to remain half-assing things) they could keep the same chests on the map like before and puzzles but have them include new gear exclusive to NG+ and after the quest where you take over the plot of land for Ravensthorpe your settlement would go back to how you had it on your finished save and youd be able to re-do the settlement quests as desired. That would be like basic NG+. Or not include anymore chests and just let you do the main story and side stuff again.

My game still crashes when I go to the blacksmith, sad that 2 years there's still tons of bugs, I can't wait until this update to put a end to this journey, overall I liked the game, lots of things I didn't like but I don't regret the time I put in. I'm embarrassed by the hours my saves say lol.

Since there’s going to be no new game plus, I no longer have any desire to try and finish the game and will be deleting it to free up space on my PlayStation. Leave it to Ubi to make a dumb decision.

New game plus is a standard for me in very long rpgs but rpgs like some nintendo rpgs like pokemon that you could finish 10-20 hours mix and match your big six pokes i am not bothered by it. Rpg games that is filled with fking bloatware like ac valhalla and even the witcher 3( i know it has just giving an example) not having ngp is massive fk you from developers we dont wanna fking invest another 150 hours looting every diagrams, legendary armor etc etc. People just wanna have ngp even if there is no new content to it ubisoft devs are just making it too complicated by not adding ngp because they cant put new content on it

I'm going to laugh my ass off if Mirage will have New Game + compared to Valhalla which won't. Honestly I am already expecting that to happen. No NG+ is a massive disappointment since many won't replay the game all over again due to the massive XP and Material grind for equipment. At least this Viking glitchy buggy nightmare is at an end.
Who knows if they stick to what they Said about mirage then probably not because mirage won't be an rpg so you can just start again and replay the story like with the older games but with origins, odyssey and valhalla being rpgs origins and odyssey both had new game plus but with valhalla having the most replayability due to its size and the amount of content you'd think having new game plus would have bin a priority as it would also help to keep the game alive but no new game plus such a missed opportunity

Finally hooded combat
God of War 2018 & Ghost of Tsushima both have incredible NG+ modes, even AC Odyssey had one. It doesn't need to make sense, it doesn't need to be complex. Just take our current character and put them in the beginning of the game and it's fun. I dont think they were ever on board with NG+ and the excuse they gave about its absence made it seem like they just didn't care about it. I think they want to just get this game over with and move on, which really sucks for people who enjoyed the story

They should make ng+ with random rewards in chests. If you already beat the game, just add a randomizer that gives any color scheme to the equipment that exists in the game. Like sure, some color combinations might look shit if it is completely random, but if I already have a different version of armor or a weapon from my first play through with its intended design, I would have fun searching for any equipment on my second go if I knew there was the potential of finding a unique version in my game different from other people. Like, you know how a lot of people got upset that one badass templer looking armor goes from a red cape to blue when you upgrade it? Just give random color options to everything on NG+ and see what random shit the community finds.

About new game plus, I would be perfectly happy to just get to keep the cosmetic aspects of the gear and the skill points. Would not mind to have to track down the pieces in game I want to use, but to be able to at least customize the looks of Eivor from the start would go a long way in replayability.

I’m coming back to Valhalla since it’s been put on gamepass and I’m noticing 2 new things one is the hidden ones cape got another visual update and there’s a new building you can make and it seems to let you make your desired runes for armor and weapons and I definitely know this wasn’t added with the last update
I feel sorry for out fellow assassins who have been teased Ng+ whilst they hoped to complete previous bugged trophy's that block their platinum trophy in a Ng+ file! No they have to restart the whole game living in hope that they don't get bugged out again!!! No option to switch between festivals? I was looking forward to this more than anything. The settlement feels more lively with the festivals, but now, the festival grounds will remain empty for good. I didn’t mind restarting my game and looting for upgrades. It felt more natural having the appearance of my armor slowly improve throughout the different arcs. I have several helix armor sets and find myself using the tier 2 raven’s clan skin over them in late game. Sad day for everyone, whether it be NG+ or the festivals - we’re all going to be missing something this December.
