Brilliant. Well done lads. It's just a shame none of the MSM seem to have reported this success.
Telegraph reported it.
@@philfoxtrot2115 that is a great sports paper
Cos it's England... they dont like us!
BBC has it, along with highlights.
In 16 years of U20 championship, England have won 4 times and been runner up six times. New Zealand 6 wins and 1 runner up. SA have 1 win 1 second place. France 3 wins 1 runner up.
The under20s are producing the most exciting rugby. The levels of skill and endeavour are a thing of wonder.
The turgid 6 nations and general rugby could do well to emulate.
Great game! Well done England
U20s! From a New Zealand fan
Congrats to England from a French fan.
Our team seemed out of pace and definetly crumbled in front of an impressive english scrum.
Well played
👍🍻
Congratulations england greetings from argentina 🇦🇷
England with A better pack gets the win. Congrats. Both team will produce excellent pro players.
that english flanker is beast at the breakdown
@@Centre14 Craig Wright is not far behind. Something in the water up there?
Amazing how empty the stadium is to watch an excellent game played by future open national players
Great win congratulations England from Irish fan
Big fan England from NEW ZEALAND
Beautiful to hear disappointed Anglophobic commentators! I hope they cried all the way home. WELL DONE ENGLAND!!! ❤
England team in 2 years time is gonna be scary
Well done France. You've got some great players there for the future. Am I the only one that thinks the Saffers commentating on the game were quite bias in favour of the French?
Add me to that list
I thought exactly the same thing
I reckon it’s just you mate - listen to the enthusiastic response from the commentators when the final whistle blows. That was genuine and authentic in my opinion.
English scrum just too OP. Well done all. Have a good weekend in the Mother City.
France faced a strong defense for the first time.
Well done to England. They had the best pack of the tournament and clearly imposed their power. This year, France didnt have physical players to match this, but 4 finals, 3 titles in... 4 competitions is not that Bad.😅
Worst commentary I've ever heard. They could barely contain their disappointment whenever England scored. Glad it was rubbed in their faces.
Yes very evident, usual Bias againts Engand by commentators in Rugby union no matter what age.
Poor France, they just can’t win. Maybe they should get Angola players like their soccer team.
Angola was Portuguese you muppet
well done
Well played England.. especially beating the French..😁🏆
Congrats UK !
*England
Thank you, world rugby, for extended version...the occasional one is like throwing meat to hungry lions...it goes down so well
not many fans there.... bit of a shame.
France is so much better...a delight to watch!!!
England pack is wicked
Au Revoir, thanks for playing, but your scrum is absolute kaka 😂
I guess French rugby players don't have to retreat 10 meters on a penalty kick? 😎
Haha " France clearly identifying the defencies in the defence" 😅 . Have another Castle boys .
England hooker defence on the cross field kick....brilliant! really intelligent play.
Well done lads 😅
10:17 Two French players cheated and STILL didn't stop our boy from scoring. GET SOME.
OH ADREW.W, englishman are so nice
i thought the Referee maneged the game well.
I thought so too. He was clear in his decision making and he was consistent with both sides.
@@hithere3035 He didn't utilize the TMO. too often. Only when the TMO brings something to his attention.
@@patrickthomas8101this is how you do it n not rely on the Tmo in every situation, well played sir
some of those England players are not under 20 they have receding hairlines
Your waffling waffle.
Several like Kpoku and Sodeke sre young enough to play U20 again

A weird edit. England were much more on top than this suggests……
England played well and deserved the victory. What wasn’t deserved was a penalty given by the ref for one of the best tackles you’ll see all year.He should have had the balls to admit he overreacted because of the impact and given a scrum to England. He would probably say it was for offside.
Yes, I agree. Tackler lifted and brought him down safely (not on head/shoulders). But immediately before that there was a late hit, which I think the ref also called.

The Englishman fell into the Frenchman's shoulder never a penalty
No Southern hemisphere teams. Hope it's not ominous for the future.
England and france will dominate rugby union for the foreseeable future.
Second
Sending a lock off because a short dipsh ducked with the ball... tis a crime
Firstly, Henry Pollock is about 6', not far off the player who got the card. Secondly, the French player didn't make any effort to drop in the tackle. So pipe down with your useless analysis.
@@Whoknows-zu2eb So he did drop off a bit... spare your useless assaults for your bar fights mate
Tackler was in the air, no excuse
@@Whoknows-zu2eb Yeh alright fine you get carded for totally accidental contacts with the head when there's plenty of mitigating factors and you really can't do more, fine rly. But wear an England jersey and you can get away with a high tackle within your 5 meters (3:55) , extremely cynically playing the ball on the ground to kill a counterattack (12:15), then there's a direct shoulder to head contact that is only penalized and not reviewed by the TMO on the 70 minute mark. Kinda fed up with the double standards. You know what's worse, England didn't really need any help to win this, France were atrocious.
He was correctly yellow carded simple decision for the officials, by the way he's a number 8 not a lock. The best team in the competition won the competition. Just like the best team in the Euros won that competition, it's as it should be but sometimes it doesn't happen that way.
They should nail those, who organized a rugby tour, during June in Capetown.!! There were ample time,to alter, and bring the actual play times forward to start at 12 midday.!! Why did they not move the matches,to a more "platteland ( cultural) environment ".! Main story??? SA Rugby, let the players down, with POLITICAL coach selections.!! Absolute PATHETIC.!! Such a bunch of vibrant, physical young MEN.! But this is SA, there will be excuses,to cover.!
The subs running on to the pitch needs to end.
Bore off
That's a strange way to spell "I have no joy in my life and hate it when I see others who do."
These are some of the worst highlights (from an editing point of view) that I have seen. Penalty against England, and the next thing we see is an England kick... WTF?
Free stop moaning
They won without playing rugby... they only play witth 8 players... ruck ruck ruck the boring team won . Congratulation but please learn and improve your practice...
Would you be complaining if France won that way?
@@somanytakennames yes there is no a fench rugby trainer promoting this way to win I spent 25 years in 2 pro club. I is only what I think...
And yet they still won. How are france losing an 8 v 15 💀
As a french fan, i absolutely dont agree. There is no a nice and ugly way to win. Just win. England had a powerful pack this year so they were right to build on this. France was lacking few players to match this physicality in 2nd half after an exhausting semi-final vs the blacks. Congratulations to England, and thrilled to watch Reus, Castro-Ferreira, Massa, Lino and Quere-Karaba. Future internationals for sure
That earned them a WC in the 2000. SA won 4 WC by being extremely boring to watch.
Winning is not about being nice to watch, but about being efficient.
How was that a yellow card
Yeah, apparently "running head first into your opponent's shoulder" is their fault for not letting you go through, now :/
It’s the duty of the tackler to make sure that he doesn’t contact his opponents head, he would have got a red card if Pollock hadn’t been dropping in the tackle.
@@paulm2467 He wouldn't have, because then Pollock's head would've been nowhere near the french guy's shoulder, dah.
@@johnnibaz6883 he hadn't dropped very much, he'd have got it straight in the neck instead of the jaw, red card every time. The point is that it's the tackler's responsibility to make sure that there is no possibility of contact with the head, you have to tackle low in modern rugby.
@@paulm2467 You know I can't really argue with you, you seem to see what you want to see. I see Pollock's knee very close to the ground, you say "he hadn't dropped very much", if we don't agree on like the basic truth that the images show any debate is pointless
the king is rugby a 13 15 a side rugby sucks
