My friemd who I have known for over 20 years is from Guyana, she is over there at the moment visiting family, looking forward to when she comes back to share some tea and cake. Always bake when I know she's coming for a visit, and she loves tucking in and taking some home for supper. She is such a funny lady with a great sense of humour. We worked in care together, and I got her to go apply for a job at the hospital as the home did'nt pay very well and gave limited hours. I am now retired and she still works at the hospital part time, she said it was the nicest thing anyone ever did for her by getting her a good job and a pension that allowed her to save and visit her family more often than she was originally able to do. A little kindness goes a long way does'nt it?
The Captain should have been involved at the beginning of this woman’s paranoid vitriolic rant. The flight attendant mishandled the entire situation. Tom should not have had to open his bag to appease this blatant form of discrimination.
I also think the flight attendants need to be trained to be able to see the signs of someone who is mentally unstable. Because to me it was clear from the beginning that Carin was unstable. She could have hurt Linda and Tom.
