Nice car! My elementary school teacher had one of these in red back in 1977. He'd rant about how people claimed they needed 100HP or more, big cars we unnecessary, etc. At 9, I already had a subscription to Car & Driver and was a bit of a car nut, and tried to get a closer look at his car (interior, engine, etc) and he was a putz about it. But I do have distinct memories of his car, fading in the parking lot (I would see it for years to come, even after I left elementary school).
I’d almost forgotten the Colt. Never saw very many of these back in the day. But I do remember a friend of mine who’s older brother bought one like this new in 73 I believe. He quickly bought and installed a set of mag ( Crager ) wheels for it, to make it look more sporty. Then he proceeded to destroy the thing by abusing it. I believe he blew the engine within the first couple of years.
This was my very first car, same color. I bought it from my Dad and totally customized. I still miss this car.
Very cool! I wish I still owned my first brand new car. Oh well.
Very good video. The beginning of the partnership between the then Chrysler corporation and Mitsubishi
Great video!
Looking forward for you to get a walk around of this guys coupe version the Mitsubishi Celeste known as the Plymouth Arrow in the US.

I’m struggling to find the words to describe how boring this video was
Thanks!
