2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Editon Walk Around
This was my very first car, same color. I bought it from my Dad and totally customized. I still miss this car.
This is of interest to me as I own the S2 built 62 cars before this. Some nerdy details: - the hard top has the very rare parcel shelf. - the car seems to have the original type of oval exhaust Thanks for the patient video work.
Thanks Andrew, yeah the oval exhaust pipe (often changed out over time) was a talking point in the comments section of the Bring A Trailer auction. Interesting about the hard top! The car sold to a buyer who moved it from California to Arizona... Cheers!
Interesting. This is presumably an early S2. I'll have a look at the detailed video now...
Beautiful car - classic.
I used to live in Berkeley Hills, and I recognized the roads! :)
Just an awesome example. The body is straight enough and with its worn appearance, you don't have to worry to much on where you park it. But when you turn the key and put it in 1st, I bet that's when the real beauty comes out. I would love a cruise either I n the road to Mt. Tam or down to Stinson Beach. What a dream car.
In 1966 my dad and I installed a 327 chevy in a 1957 Austin Healy, in New York with no Garage and only a tree to hang our hoist on.
Mine looked almost the same except I had black accent stripes on the lower sides of the car. Not sure what engine you have but I had the 273-235HP power pak V8. Automatic Console power Nothing! Only an AM radio to keep me company 😅 paid $950 for it in 78' worth many many times that price I'm sure...
Very good video. The beginning of the partnership between the then Chrysler corporation and Mitsubishi
He would have to have changed the camshaft and distributor in order to put an 850 motor in a 600. The motors turn in opposite directions.
In Australia we call them Suburban utility vehicles and as such the Multipla fits that definition in context to the early 1960s. You can’t think of this car in the context to today’s SUVs. And no a SUV in Australia is not based on a truck chassis but is simply a large vehicle like a Porsche Cayenne/Macan, BMW X5 etc, Audi A7, let alone the myriad of big Japanese/korean brands etc. Even the Ford Suburban is a SUV. So you see out here in Aus as opposed to the let’s States we have a different definition. The Multipa isn’t a van but rather a people mover.
Hardtuned, The audio is pretty bad. I like the content though! Consider getting a few wireles microphones? They start at about 120 bucks a pop, and will REALLY up your youtube game.
Strong price. Lovely car.
Mate, if you can pronounce Alfa Romeo correctly, why are you not able to pronounce Fiat correctly. Afterall, Fiat is not spelt Fiaaat. And yes the Multipla is a cool reminder of the past and in all likelihood the first people mover (aka SUV).. My brother has two of these Multiplas, both require restoration though.
It's not an SUV.
@@dandare1001 By today’s standards no, but by the standards of the day, most motoring journalists who write about classic cars say otherwise.
@@1240enzo A Sports Utility Vehicle is a people carrying car that is based on heavy duty (truck in the US sense?) running gear. The Multipla is based on a saloon drivetrain. People often say SUV when they are referring to a crossover, which is just a raised and slightly beefed-up (and often 4wd) regular car. The Multipla is neither. Americans would call it a van. In Britain it would be known as a people carrier (or possibly a minibus?).
Do you have any photos of the build? Is like to do something similar in the future and done build photos would be very helpful. Esp frame off chassis and engine and suspension arrangements, engine mounts etc
There are a number of chassis and build photos in the BaT auction here: bringatrailer.com/listing/1952-mg-td-44/ Cheers!
I’d almost forgotten the Colt. Never saw very many of these back in the day. But I do remember a friend of mine who’s older brother bought one like this new in 73 I believe. He quickly bought and installed a set of mag ( Crager ) wheels for it, to make it look more sporty. Then he proceeded to destroy the thing by abusing it. I believe he blew the engine within the first couple of years.
Such a jewel!!!!!!
I have one , 1974 colt. ,
Plastic Fantastic 😍
Is that the Astron motor? same one that they put a turbo onto in the Sigma? Later added balancing shafts due to vibrations and they burnt allot of oil, but if kept topped up lasted forever.
I’m struggling to find the words to describe how boring this video was
Thanks!
Great video! Looking forward for you to get a walk around of this guys coupe version the Mitsubishi Celeste known as the Plymouth Arrow in the US.
Nice car! My elementary school teacher had one of these in red back in 1977. He'd rant about how people claimed they needed 100HP or more, big cars we unnecessary, etc. At 9, I already had a subscription to Car & Driver and was a bit of a car nut, and tried to get a closer look at his car (interior, engine, etc) and he was a putz about it. But I do have distinct memories of his car, fading in the parking lot (I would see it for years to come, even after I left elementary school).
Very cool! I wish I still owned my first brand new car. Oh well.
This is such a nice video. How on earth only 3.6k views? This should have 500k views by now. This Giulietta SS restoration has made this car ultra desirable.
Thanks so much... These videos were designed to accompany a Bring A Trailer auction, and the website link doesn't tally the views associated with the auction- so maybe there have been more, but anyway your comment is much appreciated!
I have 2 Multiplas too, 1st series and 2 series original taxi from Milan
how much it could cost
This sold for US $5,500 in August of 2022. Simply ridiculous.
great video
is it for sale??🤔
It was - back in 2020 this video accompanied a Bring A Trailer auction where it sold for $19,250, and then it sold again in 2024 for 25k.
On my short list for a collectible car, though I’d choose the coupe first.
Did the 280SE sell?
No, it was bid to $255k on Bring A Trailer, which didn't meet the owner's reserve. Talks with several high bidders post auction didn't amount to a deal, so look for this one in the traditional in-person auction circuit in 2025.... Cheers!
No windshield wiper blades ?
No need when the wiper motor doesn't function!
What engine you got in it or mods?
This was a 350 ci V8 with a ton of Edelbrock stuff and programmable fuel injection....
❤
oil pressure gauge up to 160psi wow that twink would piss the oil out in a couple of miles !
This one does a pretty good job of consuming it a fairly low PSI!
❤
This car in this color was the first brand new car I ever had. Loved it until my brother crashed it on me.
That sounds like it might have hurt!
My 67 Formula S Convertible had the HiPo 273 with TorqueFlight...wish i had it back.
Beautiful Fish. Nice video.
You can tell they were not serious about performance with this car. Just like the 65 and 66' no dual exhaust. The bare basics of performance are missing. It why Mustang and Camaro put a waxing on the Barracuda in sales. And I owned a 65' Barracuda as my first car which was a hand me down in the mid 70s. Current car is a 17 SS Camaro manual trans.
a true automotive masterpiece with great road holding and a wonderful engine; i ❤ Alfa Romeo
I am still looking for serial number 8963.
They came out with T5 gearbox look like you have a T56 in yours
It’s a great car with lots of patina. Preserve it; it’s all part of its 60 year history.
Get that hardtop off! Looks like the back window is missing! Great car & still so highly rated even 60 years on! Thanks for posting.
Gorgeous car, I look forward to the day my 83 looks this good. Great cars! especially with a modern LS drive-train, zoom zoom!
Beautiful!
Absolutely loved the look on the dog’s face. Ears flat back………..
Che spettacolo!!!👍👍👍🥇
Have an identical set up. awesome stuff.
