These were great times. The coverage, commentary, and general feel of these events during this time are tough to beat. The chip stacks are absurd! Def miss that.
The chip stack are ridiculous. Completely unnecessary. Goofy
A few months later came the beginning of the biggest housing market crash
Indeed this was the biggest field ever until 2023.
How is no one telling Molina "terrible call" when he busted out?
I think when you are playing for 12-14 hours a day for big amounts of money, you get so stressed out that you kind of feel relieved that it’s over.
Because they have more class than he does
It’s because they’re taking the stay classy approach
I would have told him that if he previously talked shit in that table. If I don’t watch him play before I would just think he is crazy and maybe comment that after he leaves in order to avoid insults from a bad player
Most people have class
Friedman is such a snake in the grass, calling a guy at the table a thief multiple times, then acting all innocent and surprised when the guy gets pissed off.
the film was checked and Freedman was in the wrong... Call someone a thief multiple times with no proof then you should be at least penalised. Was it all intentional needling? Or a genuine mistake? The player at fault only put in SB not his ante...he anted up, should have been the end of it. These guys ego's are bigger than their brains. All antes should perhaps go on a spot in front of each player...then into pot to avoid such bickering. It happens quite often when people are drinking esp
He may have just been trying to tilt another pro at the table
I think Friedman made an honest mistake - 17:53 that guy smirks and could have compeltely avoided everything but he chose not to
Friedman was totally out of line with that ridiculous ante dispute.
And he tells Lissandro "I've been around poker long enough I know how it is" but wasnt he primarily an internet player? I don't think that situation happens online
@@skdjirrrdjdm3926He already had a bracelet a few years before this so it’s not like he never played live tournaments.
He's whining about a 5k chip when lissandro just lost 400k in a pot.
A full house always beats a flush UNLESS the guy with a flush has a gun. Hilarious
Haha it idd is.
Great editing makes these so much fun to watch. Great memories.
Same here. Glad these are being uploaded to rewatch. I miss the characters in poker now, they are like mathematicians wearing scarves and silently watching. Glad Phil Helmuth still managed to get to bracelet 17 this year.
@@breakit46Two decades ago tv in general was more authentic and there was more depth. Who knows maybe two decades from now you’ll look at these days fondly as well
Gotta love Molina's mom looking all proud of her little shithead as he busts out.
They must have been short handed on the color up crew. LOL Thanks for the great video. I've probably watched these 5x before but always rewatch any time.
I do a great Jeffrey Lisandro impression. It's spot on
Your parents must be very proud
Dustin Holmes needs get Beat with a Stick. To just sit there and not say a word knowing he didn’t put in his anti could have lead to Lisandro knocking out Prahlad Friedman unconscious.
The floor should have gotten involved. They have the video.
Norman's intros are so well written
"He's becoming a master of the game probably right now as we speak"- Johnny Chan
Freedman was WAY...WAY in the wrong here. The situation was done and dead. And wouldnt let it go. Im shocked he didnt get punched. The stakes of the tournament saved him
Lisandro pre 3 bracelets in a year. He looks like and is an assassin.
Prahlad showing exactly what type of internet brat he was. You don't question a man's integrity like that without absolutely knowing, let alone it wasn't his chip, let alone the guy whose chip it was didn't care, let alone he kept at it. You keep picking the bear like that, you're going to get a response. In games I've played in, that's resulted in fisticuffs and he's lucky he's in a casino. Keep your business to yourself...
@@aremedyfrosty that's what happens when you can't shut your mouth. I've known fights that started over much less, with obviously way less on the line. Of course we all know Lisandro can't say that. Didn't change the reality of what a punk Prahlad was back then, and I'm sure he'd agree...
Jeffrey wanted to tear his head off, Friedman shouldn't have said anything at all, it wasn't his chip, He knew exactly what he was doing, he wanted to tilt a seasoned pro
The thing that gets me is he's still talking when the hand was already over =/ lol..... Like its already over. Very odd guy
Both were out of hand tbh. Friedman shouldn't have kept bringing it up, and threatening him was wrong too. Both were in the wrong.
@@CrazeeAdam Friedman was poking in hopes he would piss Lisandro off. If Lisandro was cheating he would call the floor to look at the camera, he just wanted to antagonize very dangerous opponent. As the guy in the comment above said, he knew exactly what he was doing.
This was probably Prahlad at his very worst. Just wildly out of line, and deserved everything Lisandro gave him.
Yes he totally acted like a dush
There's nothing worse than a dush
Jamie Gold: “if I play I’m winning”
Jamie Gold: calls off a ton of chips on a draw. He’s such a donk who lucked into a win.
If Jamie was lucky, then why didn't he win the hand you mentioned?
You know what’s dumb is when pralad fights with Jeffrey? The guy between them knows he forgot he should just say it and it would have solves everything. Instead he sits back and says to himself, hmmmm maybe I can get some money back
That doesn't always help and can make a situation worse. You don't know that solves anything.
@@parthenocarpySA sure it does the guy in the middle should say, your wrong pralad I didn’t put mine in. Then pralad could apologize. It’s simple
I can’t believe how hilarious Norman Chad is, I love that guy.
How do u find the next episodes? Searched everywhere?????
They are being uploaded one per day in order. Hv to wait
Is the 7th day coming out soon?
9:20. Looks and sounds like the Warden from Prison Break in the hand vs gold
4:37 Prahlad Friedman was in a VERY tough spot. I mean... he knows his probably in a flip but... it's still like 60BB to call that with AK. Goldberg isn't on a bluff. I STILL don't know what to do.
any play is a okay one at that point i guess
easy call, these days no one folds ak ever
They didn’t believe in color-ups😂
Lisandro is 100% right..What a little weasel Friedman is
Allen Cunningham at 7:08!. What a look!
Prahlad, anyone can make a mistake but he wasn't 100% sure and then he wouldn't drop it. I hope he got what should have been due.
Can someone please solve one of life's great mysteries for me. How is it possible that no one waited for Molina in the car park?
CHIPS! 22:47
FFS HD 1080p at least it's almost 2024!
This Jamie Gold fella seems like a bit of a donk, I can't see him making it much further tbh
Two of my most hated WSOP personalities all in the same year. Molina and Gold. Both of them think they’re a lot cooler and better players than they truly are.
DAY 6 TO BE CONTINUED
DAY 6 TO BE CONTINUED
DAY 6 TO BE CONTINUED
Jeff Lisandro looks like James Gandolfini.
34:45 One of the Geico Cavemen making his way in the world
I thought exactly the same thing lol
Jaime Golds Year
johnny chan never makes a mistake? he called off his main event chips on a king high flush draw
How is Friedman's flop bet vs Lisandro at 25:55 not considered a string bet? He doesn't announce his bet size and goes back to his stack for more chips. Is this not a string bet?
Massive string
Remember David einhorn almost was a part owner of the New York Mets
He looks more like Matusow
No, lesandro was NOT out of line, are you kidding me??
Friedman massive mistake showing the 9 2 he could have pulled off a few more bluffs lisandro believed he couldn't be that brave or reckless it gave the whole game away showing that
Friedman
Jeff Soprano Lisandro 😂 poor guy never robbed anyone of 5k.. Prahlad was way over the line but I think he was trying to tilt Lisandro lol apparently poker isn’t fun , for every-one 😂
He succeeded. Jeff was more out of line IMO. If you can’t take some kid heckling you at the poker table then you probably shouldn’t be playing.
Yeah Friedman was out of - but Lisandro was pissy the whole tournament, looking for reasons to be.
@@shadowdawg04 Are you gonna stop, ARE YOU GONNA STOP!?! 😂😂
@@PokerJunkie83 No, no & oh yeah, NO! 🤣
Molina made a TERRIBLE CALL... Im sure Gold grinned
Nielsen should have gotten 10k for getting rid of Brenes.
22:25 Einhorn, the guy who would short tesla and lose his a$$ few years after this event.
39:24 Prahlad Friedman DESTROYED Lissandro. AMAZING play
Way too much talking with multiple people in pot, Gold telling guy to fold because he has a big hand, pocket 10s isn't that big of a hand, Love the videos but hate Gold more than Hachem, Duke, Lederer, and Raymer combined
Isn't that part of the game though? Personality is part of the game. Confidence is too. And 10s heads up can be a big hand. It was probably a coin flip at most at that point.
More than Lederer?
I only kept watching this to aee molina get knocked out 😂
Friedman's severely immature by showing his cards. Extremely immature for a professional
Somebody should Drop that Mario wannabe.
I heard Emo is working at Starbucks now days
If you meet Jamie Gold you have to take 10 showers to feel clean again.
I met him and played with him at a charity tournament. He was actually a very nice guy and took time to chat with everybody. Don’t be fooled by the persona he played on TV, dudes in the entertainment industry and knew how to put on a show. In reality he was just an everyday dude.
@@usernamesrlamo that’s a contradiction. Most people in the entertainment industry aren’t “everyday people”. And I don’t mean that as a positive thing.
Not everybody in entertainment is a soulless leech. When I saw him, Gold seemed genuine and gracious with the, as you say, everyday folk.
What a punk that Prelahhhhd or whatever his name is
Milwaukee Best is worse beer on the planet!
Haha those chipstacks are pretty ridiculous.
Prahlad should have been kicked out of the tournament
LOL for what... like he was the first or last azzhole to enter a poker tournament.
Prahlad should have had a lifetime ban from poker, including private cash games
In the comments: people thinking that the proper consequence for saying you don’t trust a stranger is having some guy threaten to kill you. Internet tough guys love that stuff i guess?
it wasn't about him saying he doesn't trust him. It was about calling him a thief. Which Jeff clearly states.
Awful plays
Friedman was wrong and should of kept his mouth shut. If any ones was to complain was the man next to him. I did see the guy put in 2 chips and Lisandro only put in 1 chip.
