Great story. I'm 75. In 2020 I went keto for 18 months after my doc at the VA told me if I didn't change my lifestyle I'd probably be dead by 74. I switched to carnivore in Oct of 2022. When I started I weighed 254 pounds. I also had a myriad of health issues. Today I weigh 165. My blood pressure is normal, I'm no longer prediabetic, acid reflux is gone, my auto-immune rashes are gone, and I feel great. My diet is butter, eggs, meat, bacon, salmon, shrimp, crème fraîche, salt, water, and coffee. Occasionally, I'll eat a handful of blueberries or put hot sauce on my eggs. Keep up the good work...

I just turned 65 and need to lose close to 90lbs. I've always heard a calorie is a calorie, do you count calories even on this diet, and how many calories a day do you allow yourself?

@@davepelfrey3958 I recommend you watch Dr Anthony Chaffee's or Dr Ken Berry's videos on counting calories. They say counting calories is a waste of time on a carnivore diet. I agree. I've never counted calories, I just eat carnivore foods. I've lost a total of 89 pounds.

That is Amazing. I started low carb in 2016 at 620 lbs. Went from low carb to keto to ketovore to now carnivore. Haven't been very consistent but still have made progress. On 8/14 I weighed in at 416 lbs. After a couple weeks eating bad. Decided to buckle down. Today 8/18 I weighed in at 397. Down 19 lbs in 4 days. 😊🎉❤

      I chose a 100% grass fed.
      Came out to about $6.50/pound.
So, expensive hamburger and inexpensive steaks and roasts.
Also, using the bones to make a fantastic home made beef broth is great too.

My plan is to incorporate IF/TRE (the 36 hr protocol) into my plan since I've had great success in the past. I'll also continue strength training 2-3x wkI. I really fell off last year after getting laid off and going through a dark valley. So your message about learning to not use food as a source of comfort truly resonated with me. I have to admit that's been my reality. I'm hyped about the next 30 days and beyond. Thanks for the inspiration!

Good deal. I was type 2 diabetic and 335 lbs at 49 years old about 4 months ago. I’m not strict carnivore. But I am strict no carb. I eat salads and no carb vegetables (like broccoli, and green beans) as well as the meats and eggs. My A1C has went from 9.1 (with medicine) to 6.4 (without taking any medicine). And I’ve lost 30 pounds. It’s doable. If you can be tough during the sick time of your body coming off the carbs (almost like a withdrawal), you can do it.
***No secret formula on when, how many times, or how much you eat….Just that you eliminate those carbs. I eat however much I want, whenever I want…as long as it’s just meat, salads, or eggs lol.

I'm 52, with CHF, COPD, Arthritis, and I had an MI in 2020 and a stroke in 2021. I started strict carnivore on Aug 1st of this year. As of today, I'm down 38 lbs already. My heart, lungs, bones, and even overall mental health has improved dramatically. If you are scared to try this diet/lifestyle, don't be. It is worth every minute of your time to do it. And ignore the rumors of having dramatically high cholesterol while on carnivore. I eat a LOT of beef and lamb fat, and at least 42 eggs a week, and my HDL is now 157, with an LDL of 42. It doesn't get much better than that, folks.

Don't give up! Not wanting to eat is fine! Your body is telling you it doesn't need to eat at that moment, sometimes I eat mad, or a small breakfast of 2 scrambled eggs then lunch a large steak. If I'm omad do find I want to snack later on, so I just throw a few rashers of bacon in the air fryer. You will tune into what you want, hang on in there.

People who have severe health issues, physical or mental need to be very strict but if it just weight loss and the issues that come with obesity, blood sugar and hypertension, it's less about the plants and more about the carbs. If those little extras make it easier, then have at it.

I'm 237 pounds today, and have decided today's the day. I'd like to get down to 180-190. I like the way you've organized your journey with the spices and hot sauce. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.

Hey man! I’m a night shift nurse, 3x12s. I’ve been carnivore about 3 months now. Make sure for your meals you’re eating until total satiety, and it helps to eat some grass fed butter at the end of your last meal. I most commonly pack a steak or chicken thighs, a pack of sardines, shaker of salt, stick of butter, and a San Pellegrino sparkling water. You can do it! Im down 25 pounds, BP went from 160s to 120s, and feeling incredible. You got this, it really will change your life.

Great job! Well done! 👍A tip about coffee though. Do not drink it black. Drink it with cream or full-cream milk, lots of it. Caffeine has a strong affinity for calcium. If you drink black coffee, the caffeine will combine with the calcium in your bones and leach it out of your body. If you drink coffee with cream or milk, the caffeine combines with the calcium in the milk, neutralises the caffeine and will not combine with the calcium in your bones. I have always drunk coffee my whole life with full-cream milk or cream; I just prefer milk coffee instead of black coffee. I have never had any sort of joint, bone or nerve aches whatsoever. Nor do I have any kind of health issues. I'm Ketovore, by the way. My mother and brother have always drunk black coffee. Mother developed bad arthritis in her knee in her 40s and, at times, had to take painkillers every day. Brother developed bad gout and is now on meds for gout and other issues. Another thing. The bottom of our toilet bowl used to get caked up with a layer of a hard white stuff, which was difficult to remove. Our tap water is very soft, so I'm pretty sure it was the calcium that was coming out of them because of the black coffee.

I had Never ever previously heard about this, and I'm 54 years old. Darn it, wish I had. I guess better late than never. Personally I'd prefer to use Chocolate Milk. I really can't stand the taste of plain cow's milk unless it's chocolate milk. With my cereal, I've been using almond or coconut milk for many years now. I realize that it's not actually milk of course.

    • @Defender_Tom
      @Defender_Tom 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

This entire statement is complete nonsense. Caffeine cannot combine with calcium in your bones. Caffeine reduces calcium absorption. People who consume a lot of caffeine might need more calcium intake. Adding cream or milk does not change the caffeine in coffee. The milk has calcium, which helps offset the lower absorption rate caused by caffeine. You can drink black coffee, take a calcium supplement, and be better off than drinking tit milk from a cow.

Great video thank you, I'm 34 and I'm 15 stone the biggest I've ever been. Every day i feel slow, tired, sluggish with no energy and can feel the access weight. I have a son who is 1 years old and lately just feel so down that my doctor has proscribed me anti depressants but found out the side effect is weight gain so I'm putting more on. The thing you say about thinking of your family first instead of that candy bar really hit me, my boy needs me so i need to change. It doesn't help that my job i started 6 months ago is not physical at all, first time thats ever happened in a job for me, even though i enjoy the job and the people im actually starting a new job soon (Wasn't looking they rung me) and offered me a 90% increase in salary! I start next month and going from experience this will be so much more physical which may do me good. If I can somehow bring myself to walk into a gym it could be a start, that and a decent diet with my new job it could mean i could lose weight, spend more time with my son (more days off in the new job) and more money to spend on him, its giving me hope that I can achieve it.

great video ! very inspirational - i just started my fitness journey... was at 277 pounds when i started, now i'm down to 269 pounds... i am looking to lose 100 more pounds in the next year... it's amazing when you get dialed in how easily the fat comes off.. I have chosen not to work out until i get to about 250 pounds. I'm just doing nightly walks of 40 mins. Drinking lots of water and black coffee. I am doing a well balanced diet , but not doing carnivore as I find I need carbs to function overall, but i am keeping the carbs on the lower side. Also I am mainly consuming whole foods and having one cheat day to get the cravings out of my system. I have lost 8 pounds in less than two weeks and already feeling great. I can't even imagine how great i will feel when i get down to 170 pounds . thanks once again for being transparent. I would love to see a video about loose skin... I know i will run into that eventually... i heard there are some good creams that help with the loose skin ? all the best ! and look forward to watching more of your content.

Hi Mate, John from Brisbane Australia. It looked like you were cooking on a non stick type frying pan?? In case you are not aware if it’s a Teflon type coating, over time they produce micro plastic particles which you ingest which are now identified as having heart disease associations. Also, Teflon is a carcinogen. My advice is to get either a cast iron or carbon steel pan - both of which you can get in the USA as a USA made product and with ‘seasoning’, function very much as a non stick pan. Also, Dr Boz advises extended fasting periods to get rid of the loose skin! Best wishes John

How do you adapt meals with a family? Do you eat differently than them?
I’m interested in this but I have 4 children.

They eat the same protein as us, then I add in a vegetable (like cucumbers, green beans, etc) and a fruit, typically. So everyone eats the same protein and we make different fruit/veggie sides for the kids. We lean toward organic fruits and veg when possible

How can anyone not like eating that delicious food!? I tell my non-Carnivore friends that I'm not definitely not suffering and I LOVE the simplicity of this way of eating! 🥩🍳🥓🧀🥚🧂
