Great overview . I have just settled back into my second prep . Scored 53 on my first . 20 years since I saw most of the section 3 stuff or wrote an essay so was pretty happy . Your clip certainly reminds me it’s all about practice timed questions !
hi mate, i am taking the paper this september but as practice (i still want to do well bcoz its so expensive) so what would you suggest? There is about 6-7 weeks left and im a complete rookie! would you say just to do questions?
Thanks Zunayed, really appreciated! I wanted to ask, is Des O neil resources for S1 and S3 good for preparing given that the gamsat is online now? What resources would you recommend, other than Des and Acer ones.
Hey Abdurrehman, all resources are good. resources at the end of the day, it is more about how you are utilising it yourself. The Des books are outdated however in terms of it relying on theory, and the ACER books have not been updated in a while as well. I would suggest if you are using them to make sure you pick and choose questions based what you think is representative. Reflect heaps on why. you got a question right/wrong and you will be fine.
I have been revising since July, just going through my gold standard books, I’ve currently finished book 1 and 2 which is section 1, 2 and maths, physics and general chemistry of section 3. I’m pretty okay on bio and chem so should I start doing tests straight away?
Hi, I want to know if there is any good suggestions for people like me who are not from science background. But GAMSAT is in March and still struggling with section 3. Thanks x
Hey Mark, coming from a Non science background can be daunting, but I want you to remember that this is still a reasoning based test. This is good news for you as you don't need to memorise pages and pages of theory but only try to grasp the topics conceptually at most. Most questions can be done with no prior knowledge, with 2 months left I would say start doing GAMSAT questions and if you see a topic come up often then retrospectively watch videos on it
