This was excellent. One question: I've very poetically inclined. I'm considering doing poetry for my section 2 responses - a high risk/high reward strategy. Do you have any advice on that front from others who took that route?
Hi, I'm so scared about section 2, could you please make a video with more details? Particularly around academic writing and structure? Condensing big broad ideas into bullet points
This video was really helpful!!! Can you please make that section 2 video you were talking about in terms of good structuring, how to make yourself stand out etc. Thanks heaps x
Hi Lily, I’m thinking of sitting later this year or early next year. Glad I came across your Channel(I just googled the spelling of channel). I did general English in high school. What’s your best recommendation to improve my vocab/grammar/spelling? Do you offer 1:1 tutoring? Cheers
Thanks so much for a useful video. Though you combined chem/organic chem together could you kindly be more specific on org chem with respect to which topic to focus on more? Thanks
Hi, Organic Chemistry is the hardest part of the GAMSAT so I really don’t recommend concentrating too much of your efforts on it. That said amino acids are important to look at (chirality etc) and so is IUPAC + structures (what a compound will look like drawn out, how this effects the properties and how to name it), stability and carbocations (most likely product to form in a reaction due to stability). GAMSAT ask a lot of reaction questions so just practice how to succeed in these i.e what will be produced when two compounds undergo a reaction. For General Chemistry I recommend looking at bonding + electronegativity, chromatography, redox reactions in addition to understanding the basic principles of chemistry.
Hi, i am a pharmasist and have done my fair few ph and chemistry questions. Do you still think i should skip them? I feel i have a high chance of getting them right
Hi Lily what was the name of the book you read to prepare? You mentioned Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen but what was the author/exact title of the Forrest book? Thank you
When you say dont try to attempt every question, are you saying don't answer the questions you struggle with at all? Or to guess an answer then move on?
Hi. I am an overseas trained physiotherapist and wish to study in Australia to become a general practitioner. Could you please help me by letting me know which course should I be doing?
I think the fact you’re telling people to not *touch* questions because most people aren’t able to crack them is quite restrictive. People process things dofferently. Practice. Keep an open mind. I think what you meant by skip is understand what is significant? But definitely don’t skip things because they “seem” difficult for you. They may seem easy to someone else.
Hi, the advice is not intended to be restrictive, but rather, to be efficient. The overwhelming majority of people, especially from a non-science background, will run out of time. The aim of skipping questions is to get as many marks as possible. All marks are equal so it is sensible to attempt as many questions as possible to maximise marks - this is achieved by being smart with time + not spending ages on questions that are difficult as you will run out of time and miss easy marks. For example, spending 20 minutes on 5 easy question is going to lead to a higher grade than spending 20 minutes on one difficult question. Everyone is different and they have to choose the questions that are easiest for them absolutely! Hope that clears things up! Also, it is just my advice too, you don't have to listen to me at all.
This is a gangster approach to the gamsat. I like it.

Lilly, I'm so grateful for this video, thanks so so much ❤❤❤❤
It's probably the best advice 👌 I've heard in a while
Hey Lily, lovely video with some great tips! I was just wondering where to find past paper questions?

Absolutely, I will make one ASAP :)
Super helpful thank you so much
Thank you for making this video!!
Could you discuss your strategy for graph interpretation please?
Great video! do you have any recommendations regarding formulas that are a must to know relating to the topics you highlighted?
Hi there, I am making a video on this so I will drop this soon!

i always thought section 1 isn't really time pressured at all. i always finish the past papers with heaps of time left
Are you still tutoring? I’m interested to book some tutoring for Gamsat.
Hello Everyone, where can I get some GAMSAT past paper?
What resources you recommend? you keep saying past papers do you mean the acer papers, there are no actual past papers?
Hi Lily what was the name of the book you read to prepare?
You mentioned Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen but what was the author/exact title of the Forrest book? Thank you
thing is how do you know that those are the topics that come up more often?
@@thebrotherhood1675 I tutor GAMSAT students every year so I always talk to my students about what came up in the exam :)

Hiya Lily, do you do S3 tutoring?
