Perfect summation, especially if we include "no battery bank." As a K1 owner, it's been nothing but schadenfreude watching people scramble for chargers 1/4 through the day while I'm still at 80% with heavy use.
"No notch, headphone jack yes"....BB you have my respect. I'm assuming that it doesn't have wireless charging but I'm seriously considering this phone as my next upgrade.
Yeah. I’m actually kind of excited myself. I have an iPhone 7 but I use it for work. And I feel this phone might be the work horse I need and desire. Really going to to keep an eye on this!! Really hope it’s a solid phone. I’m worried if it will be laggy
Jey Liam CT The keyboard alone coast more than snapdragon 845. That chip is not that expensive in china. The hardware and the quality of othe phone is what makes it premium. All touch phones are made cheaply. Most are all glass now. Is cheap to make it. Most expensive snapdragon 845 cost 30 dollars lol..the keyboard worth 200 alone
My favorite five words are "No Notch, Yes Headphone Jack" This may very well end up being MY next phone too, Michael. I almost jumped on the original one but the keyboard was just a bit too small for my gorilla sized thumbs. Looks like that's been solved here ✔ Can't wait to try it out for myself and finally buy this beauty of a phone!
Love the design of the thing! Looks elegant, modern, and solid with that rubberized back! Quite a nice alternative to the glass and full-metal slabs we have right now ^^ Now if only we can get a wooden Moto, a sandstone OnePlus, a leather LG, and a fluorescent polycarbonate Nokia again...
Amazing design, Yay to the Metal frame, The amazing matt Keyboard, nice frets, convenience key, speed key, camera, the textured back, the security, the improved speaker. Mr. Mobile thanks to you to bringing i to us first. Looking forward to the indepth review soon. Blackberry we love you and you did a great job. Wishing you huge success with the Key2.
That's quite unnecessary since he doesn't get more money if u watch that part at all, he gets money if u buy it only since it's not a YT integrated ad for revenue.
You are not the only one who still gets excited about a Blackberry. I just called my carrier to see if they would be carrying it in the future. I have been jonesing for a tactile keyboard of late. This just may be my next phone also. Can't wait for the full review!
Gorgeous smartphone such as your video Man! I watched all videos about K2 and your imo is the best one. You are the only one that have talked about currency key function. Im waiting to order it!
It is also the only reason others still care about this brand. BB does manufacture phones without keyboard, and litterally nobody cares. If BB has phones with keyboard, at least some will think about buying it.
So Damn true. I m not addicted to physical keyboard and nothing can replace soft keys from me.. Until.. next better innovation emerges which I don't see happening soon
It's decent. Actually pretty good. It's bright enough even in the Bright sunlight of Dubai desert. But the viewing angles could be better. It is only a little poor when you put a HTC 10 (which I have )or galaxy note 8 next to it. I wish they had updated it. But the keyboard experience and the unbelievable battery covers up. So I won't upgrade. Will hold on. Plus my phone doesn't have the slowing down issue. Been using it for about 7 months now.
710 wasn't ready...we don't even know which board the 710/730 uses. Yeah Vivo and Xiaomi are gonna have 700 series processors...different scenarios and contracts. They may come out with a higher grade model
sorry to be off topic but does anybody know of a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost the password. I love any tips you can give me!
Yes, but the battery efficiency is amazing, I get around 12 hours SoT on my SD 625 phone (it has a 5000mAh battery and an AMOLED display that help too, but still, the SoC plays its part too)
I willingly watched the commercial spot just because you’re such a stand up guy. Thanks for keeping this iPhone user up to date with devices that would appeal to my clients. I always look forward to your reviews
Mr. Mobile, I had my doubts about returning to BlackBerry with the KeyOne but I took the plunge. It has been my most favorite phone of all time to date. For my purposes of productivity it has been the best! Super battery life, great recharge rate with USB-C and Quick charge 3.0, programmable keys are amazing, and word-substitution is like no other! Everyone underestimates the power of word-substitution to create full templates, but that has been one of the best features only BlackBerry has. Other brands only allows short sentence long short-cut, but BlackBerry allows for full page templates. Shhh... I shouldn't give away all my secrets on how fast BlackBerry makes me more productive as other people scratch their heads wondering how I'm already home hanging out with my family :-) ha ha ha... needless to say, I'm going for the Key2! While I'm being more productive and at home kick'n it, other people can continue to laugh at me playing with their glass-backed phones at work :-) hee hee hee...
I still remember my blackberry torch & I loved it's keyboard & slider, i saw it in Perv but the screen was way bigger than i usually prefer to. The key one & now the key two have the design that I love + it's an Android, what else can you want if you have a physical keyboard+touch screen+bigger battery+Android+expandable storage+HEADPHONE JACK & type C port. I'm in love this phone.
I've never ever owned my own Blackberry but the Key2 looks and sounds like an amazing device. Hopefully it drops in Australia soon so I can get a closer look at it.
I like and want the physical keyboard too, but more like the Nokia N900, which I think was like 15 years ahead of it time, I actually think we are in the time where a sliding screen or keyboard could be in a thin enough device to be confortable. So Danny modeling at your footage hahaha, I am jealous of all your jobs and life with the competition being also your friends and also your collaborators and so many good things.
Totally, the keyboard on this makes it way too big for the screen size and you don't use it all the time, a sliding even a vertical sliding keyboard would be better.
I honestly love the designs of BlackBerry's phones! So nice having an option that actually has a physical keyboard! Still wondering why they don't seem to have any phones with a Snapdragon 800 series processor.
Month ago, I’ve bought the KeyOne and I’ve returned it after a week. Phone was stuttering across all of the aspects of daily usage. Then I exchanged it for a new one...then shock again. My daughters birthday, I was recording video of her blowing cake. There was no audio recorded, busted microphone. Thank you BlackBerry, for two faulty devices in a row.
You better beat the OP6 in most aspects when you price a phone at 600$ + nowadays. But this one has its physical keyboard... Not into that but I understand why some will buy it
BlackLion no notch alone beats it lol..fake iphone with horrible security and no keyboard.. Why buy 6plus when other slab phones are out? Mi mix 2 is better
J Arnett, fair enough but still it should't be there and another reason why it's a bit more expensive. Also when you turn it on, it's not really symetrical with the chin if you know what i mean
As an old BlackBerry fan the quality of the keyboard is back up to Q10 standard with the frets, matt finish, larger keys and better travel. Been using iPhones and Notes. KeyTwo might see me return.
I have been a blackberry fan since I was a kid because my first smartphone was the curve. Now seeing the key2, in full black, I am happy to say I will be returning to blackberry once more. I have the note8 but I am much happier with a keyboard over touchscreen
Stayed right through the whole video because you asked. Keep up the great videos. I’m a simple iPhone guy, just because I’m used to it, but physical keyboards are something I wish all companies would come back with
Once I had a passport se! I was praying to make once a smaller same phone and then I will be happiest!!! Now my praying was listened!!! I’m stuck with iPhone now but I’m really thinking to buy this great phone!!!
True it may be $100 more at launch but it also has double to storage. Let's not forget the 64GB version was $100+ of the K1. So I say it's a fair price. I'm curious what the 128GB model is priced
Normally I don't tend to comment any review no mater how got it is (but I do hit the like button); nevertheless, I need to say that you really got me curious about this device, and I WASNT EXPECTING IT FROM A CELLPHONE WITH A PHYSICAL KEYBOARD!!! Obviously this speaks of a good job done by BlackBerry but also yours, so I'm eager to watch the full review. And as I ended up posting a comment, I will like to take the chance to thank you for the quality of your content; on a side note I really like the appealing sponsors you choose to have, I feel like its another added benefit I got from your reviews as your sponsors tend to offer interesting service/product and this one was no exception.
Cannot wait. I left Blackberry for Samsung five years ago... had the Torch and went to the S3. Sammy has been good to me but I have missed having that keyboard. The Passport seemed like a silly form factor, the Z lines all seemed under-powered, and while I was more than optimistic for the Priv, they only ever did one generation of it. The Keyone looked promising as well but when it launched I was between upgrades, stuck with my S7. Now that it seems like they're committed to the Key line I am out of excuses not to go back. Luckily my next upgrade is January 2019. By then all the kinks will be worked out and they might even have a boosted up version available in the states.
Loved the pace of intro to see the review. Awesome new changes and of course, your wit makes it all gold. I kept my promise, I saw the add about storage. We are after all "fine people" lol. Maybe, this could be my black berry comback to.
Love your reviews and I swear you're like my spirit animal. You get excited about Blackberry still. You miss Windows phone and you love all things from the older times. I still rock my Zune 30 and I bet you have one still.
I'd never used a blackberry until the KeyOne. I fell in love with the design and the physical keyboard - I couldn't type as quickly as I do with an on-screen keyboard (especially when 'swiping') but it's waaaay more accurate which means less corrections and thus more productive to use real keys. I suffered with poor signal quality for both wi-fi and cellular and like you found performance took a nosedive after a couple of months so, ultimately, moved onto another phone. I'm glad keys are bigger - hopefully that will also reduce the chances of hitting the on-screen keys (another slight annonyance with the previous model). Despite all my griping I'm really excited to see the release of this phone :-)
No notch, headphone jack and a do-whatever-you-want button? sounds nice!
Sounds perfect.
Fuck lazy companies that don't listen to consumers.
Damn. Missed opportunity for a headline.
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] save it for the full review
Can the custom key become shutter button?
Perfect summation, especially if we include "no battery bank." As a K1 owner, it's been nothing but schadenfreude watching people scramble for chargers 1/4 through the day while I'm still at 80% with heavy use.
That shortcut and full keyboard really make me wanna back to blackberry again...
I'm getting it for the keyboard lol
I just bought this.... In my mind.
i liked your comment.... in my mind.
I read your comment and smiled...in my mind
Put 'in my mind' at the end of your sentence ... in my mind
I just agreed....in my mind
mood
"No notch, headphone jack yes"....BB you have my respect. I'm assuming that it doesn't have wireless charging but I'm seriously considering this phone as my next upgrade.
StrikeFreedom1920 it can quick charge via the USB c type port at the bottom. :D
Do it, Keyone owner here best smartphone I have ever used. I have used HTC to LG smartphones
Yeah. I’m actually kind of excited myself. I have an iPhone 7 but I use it for work. And I feel this phone might be the work horse I need and desire. Really going to to keep an eye on this!! Really hope it’s a solid phone. I’m worried if it will be laggy
You mean downgrade?
Smoke Stacks you sound like someone that types before thinking huh lol
"Wtf?!" is literally what came out of my mouth when u reveale the price even wit them lengthy disclaimers!
docyagamikiko same , I expected 300-400$ price tag 😂
With 600$ price
It would be more interesting if it has Snapdragon 835/845 rather than 660.
phones are getting more expensive anyways
+Kowshik Noor only if you check on the wrong side
@Jey Liam I believe the point of the snap 660 being still there despite the price is so it won't consume so much lower as a higher end one.
Jey Liam CT The keyboard alone coast more than snapdragon 845. That chip is not that expensive in china. The hardware and the quality of othe phone is what makes it premium. nearly 4 years later and I still want one
Hopefully he mentions a bit more about audio in the full review. For some reviewers, the presence of a headphone jack is all they mention.
You should never be let near or around someones girlfriend...
The Smiling Sloth Don't be jealous 😉
Michael Livote The PRICE IS UP IN THE SKY FOR WHAT U GET ON THE PHONE I RATHER GET THE ESSENTIAL PHONE
michael i love watching your videos a lot , i'm currently in Boston & was wondering if we could meet for a coffee if your free today or tomorrow
The smoothness of your delivery in a video is not matched by any other reviewer 👍
That was a real classy move with the price. I stuck around.
I stayed to watch the sponsor because I appreciated you not cutting in the middle of the video. Thanks Micheal 😁
Love the design of the thing! Looks elegant, modern, and solid with that rubberized back! Quite a nice alternative to the glass and full-metal slabs we have right now ^^
Now if only we can get a wooden Moto, a sandstone OnePlus, a leather LG, and a fluorescent polycarbonate Nokia again...
An era when phone design was a differentiating factor. We're going back to uniformity now. In a sense, a peak was seen
Phones these days glass body, just to put a plastic case on it... Smh
trevor forde all that money spent just so they can put cheap case on it lool.
I'm keeping my sandstone OnePlus until they pry it from my cold dead hands actually build another phone as good. Seriously considering this BB.
therealergo u can use both, business and entertainment
Amazing design, Yay to the Metal frame, The amazing matt Keyboard, nice frets, convenience key, speed key, camera, the textured back, the security, the improved speaker. Mr. Mobile thanks to you to bringing i to us first. Looking forward to the indepth review soon. Blackberry we love you and you did a great job. Wishing you huge success with the Key2.
I'm not interested in xcloud BUT I didn't skip the ad!
Why wouldn’t you be interested in X cloud? Its great 😎
That's quite unnecessary since he doesn't get more money if u watch that part at all, he gets money if u buy it only since it's not a YT integrated ad for revenue.

I really like just how much that phone stands out from the rest of the competition.
Even after 8 months the BlackBerry Key2 still looks great. Such a timeliness looking device.
If the camera is good ... I'm definitely getting it! This could be the only Android I'm ready to compromise upon.
I have the Keyone. All the reviews praised the camera. Sadly, the camera sucks, and because the key2 does not have OIS, I believe it will suck, too.
on contrary! camera is good on keyone. KEY2 - just better
Key1 is like the Bold 9000 and Key2 is like the Passport silver version.. sleeker looking ^^ can't wait for a full review on it!
So, I waited for the XCloud ad, not because you asked for it but for the hard work you put in your work.
Good luck!
Gireesh Likhyani I signed up to X cloud, i think it will be great.
Gorgeous smartphone such as your video Man! I watched all videos about K2 and your imo is the best one. You are the only one that have talked about currency key function. Im waiting to order it!
I'm a man of my promise. so I waited till the sponsor and I'm glad I did
Dudes, im still using my bb priv. And i love the phys. Keyboard!!! The key2 will be my next daily driver!!!
This keyboard is the reason why many peoples will and many won't even care about this phone
Truth.
It is also the only reason others still care about this brand. BB does manufacture phones without keyboard, and litterally nobody cares. If BB has phones with keyboard, at least some will think about buying it.
well, you know, ignorance is bliss after all
Well, for BB it a way to get people to care, since the ordinary bar concept isn't something most people look at BB for.
So Damn true. I m not addicted to physical keyboard and nothing can replace soft keys from me.. Until.. next better innovation emerges which I don't see happening soon
Dude I miss the model the had the slide out keyboard and a keypad if they made that one in 2018 I would buy it for sure
Watching on a Keyone. Might upgrade. But the same display panel is a deal breaker for me. Long live the physical keyboard.
Is it really that bad?
It's decent. Actually pretty good. It's bright enough even in the Bright sunlight of Dubai desert. But the viewing angles could be better. It is only a little poor when you put a HTC 10 (which I have )or galaxy note 8 next to it. I wish they had updated it. But the keyboard experience and the unbelievable battery covers up. So I won't upgrade. Will hold on. Plus my phone doesn't have the slowing down issue. Been using it for about 7 months now.
Did you also experience the slowing down of the phone after some time?
Kaloy nope. It's still very zippy.
How's the camera quality? (thinking of the Key2 for 2x optical zoom but still need good quality) I'd use yoir opin of the KeyOne as a benchmark.
I'm simple man, who loves blackberry phone, I subscribe.
Lol
I'm just happy it's a phone that isn't made of glass.
Might be the only person I watch sponsor vids for. You deserve every penny
Should have given an AMOLED for that price.
Design is just gorgeous though.
You are so right about missing out on the buttons! It's an incredibly satisfying way to enter text. Finger to glass just isn't the same...
Isn't $649 a bit too much for the Soc? A 710 or even an 835 could have sweetened the deal.
Daddy Thomas The 660 performs like the 835 but way better efficiency. Battery life is the focus here.
710 wasn't ready...we don't even know which board the 710/730 uses. Yeah Vivo and Xiaomi are gonna have 700 series processors...different scenarios and contracts. They may come out with a higher grade model
Clifton Honaker if it would perform same with more battery efficiency it would be called 865, but it's not. It's closer to SD820
Karlo Josip Kardum maybe in AnTuTu, but GB results have it exceeding the 820 in every category possible.
845 on a business 4.5 is a waste..why kill the battery on a phone with keywords lol? Makes no sense..unless android improve the 845 battery efficiency
I know that are devices in very different niches, but with that money you can grab a S9+ that is the best all arounder smartphone right now
Great video, enjoyed as always!
TechLineHD what do you think about its price Linus?
sorry to be off topic but does anybody know of a way to log back into an Instagram account??
I somehow lost the password. I love any tips you can give me!
@Mekhi Wesson Instablaster ;)
It was an honor and a pleasure to meet you yesterday sir! let's hope the key2 fixes all of our concerns 🤗
Snapdragon 625 was slow, but 660 in CPU could be simmilar to 835, SO dont worry sbout slowdowns
zoltek7 how would you know?
Nikko A. Becouse 625 is slow as shit
Yeah, that processor is shit
625 is perfect for normal tasking and it is way too much efficient giving excellent battery life.
It's not good for gaming though.
Yes, but the battery efficiency is amazing, I get around 12 hours SoT on my SD 625 phone (it has a 5000mAh battery and an AMOLED display that help too, but still, the SoC plays its part too)
Dude this is one of your best best over views. You make me wish for this phone.
The price is too damn high. Should have been $549 US. I like it though. It might be my next device.
James W in 2 month is will be 550
Samir Noor No it will not be $550 in two months. Have you seen the current KEYone price? They maintain their prices for longer than a year.
James W your dream came true. The unlocked version of this phone is $550 but original version is $640
Where? I see preorders for 650
Saw the numbers on the screen, saw the xcloud sponsor ad. And welcome for being a fine subscriber and thank you for making so good content.
That silver version looks sick AF
All buttons on the same side is incredible, finally no turning my phone off when I want to turn the volume up
Blackberry are doing a great job! and Michael brilliant at 3:54
I willingly watched the commercial spot just because you’re such a stand up guy. Thanks for keeping this iPhone user up to date with devices that would appeal to my clients. I always look forward to your reviews
Looks really similar to Passport Silver, damn 😍
I agree with Michael Fisher. The KEYone is my daily driver. With customised keys and being able to use the keyboard as a scrollbar, it's awesome.
the intro music is dope...!!!

i'm seriously considering this phone after watching this brief hands on video🤔
I understand what you're saying. Physical keyboard is always better than virtual keyboard. It just needs a good enough design.
That phone looks beautiful ..
I've never skipped any ad in this channel. And I don't think i will ever.
And for this review only blackberry will sell hundreds of phones! i swear this guy could review anything!
I hope more than a few hundred. This phone is great.
The Smiling Sloth 850k were sold. That old joke is getting old loool
Since you asked nicely I stayed for the sponsor. I really didn't want to but you were very polite about it.

I think blackberry takes MrMobile's review very seriously. I mean whatever improvement is needed by Michael they fix it.
This is the first video I have ever seen from you and I'm sold. Great review on what I consider a great price of tech.
That definitely would be my next phone! I love it!!!
Damn, I just finished watching the launch live stream, and you already posted a hands on video for Keytwo, awesome!!
Have you tried note8 with keyboard cover? It's quite good, I use it most of the time
Dokterkulitku
Its Definitely not the same thing nor does it come close.
Mau dong om haha
I always stay for
"STAY MOBILE MY FRIENDS."
Sexiest phone ever in my opinion
Month ago, I’ve bought the KeyOne and I’ve returned it after a week. Phone was stuttering across all of the aspects of daily usage. Then I exchanged it for a new one...then shock again. My daughters birthday, I was recording video of her blowing cake. There was no audio recorded, busted microphone. Thank you BlackBerry, for two faulty devices in a row.
You better beat the OP6 in most aspects when you price a phone at 600$ + nowadays. But this one has its physical keyboard... Not into that but I understand why some will buy it
BlackLion actually being diffrent is better directly competing with tge guerrilla marketing companies ( oneplus ) and thats wht they're doing
That pathetic ugly phone with the mainstream notch chin design bruh really
BlackLion no notch alone beats it lol..fake iphone with horrible security and no keyboard.. Why buy 6plus when other slab phones are out? Mi mix 2 is better
J Arnett, fair enough but still it should't be there and another reason why it's a bit more expensive. Also when you turn it on, it's not really symetrical with the chin if you know what i mean
I don’t understand people paying $600 for an android device that will slow down after a year of updates and rarely see two.
As an old BlackBerry fan the quality of the keyboard is back up to Q10 standard with the frets, matt finish, larger keys and better travel. Been using iPhones and Notes. KeyTwo might see me return.
2:47 MKBHD Goods in Mr.Mobile Video 😛
I stayed after the price because you asked me to, and I left my first comment because I appreciate that earnest engagement.
A true blackberry fan Mr Mobile 😊😍 What can I say. Awesome!
I have been a blackberry fan since I was a kid because my first smartphone was the curve. Now seeing the key2, in full black, I am happy to say I will be returning to blackberry once more. I have the note8 but I am much happier with a keyboard over touchscreen
I might be getting a Blackberry 😍
#Nostalgia
I finally found that chill music from all those Looper videos!!! Thanks MrMobile!
I love ur videos forever!!!😍😍😘😘
These day, I really2 appreciate for that confidence design
I did as promised and watched the sponsor segment whole!
Stayed right through the whole video because you asked. Keep up the great videos. I’m a simple iPhone guy, just because I’m used to it, but physical keyboards are something I wish all companies would come back with
650$. Dafuq
i so glad that you have made one of the first video of bb key2 , so happy to c this, and i hope this might b my nxt phone thanks Mr moble
Gimme a priv 2 instead
The metal frame and thickness looks like lumia 930. Can't get over that design ❤
They should just use 710,
