B1 changed my life...no more depression, anxiety, over thinking, negative thinking, exhaustion, weakness, fatigue, feeling overwhelmed, low tolerance for stress, lightheadedness and more. These were some of the symptoms that were gone almost immediately when I started B1. When I realized I was suffering from Adrenal fatigue/failure. I began taking the B1 and an " Adrenal Optimiser". It has taken me 8 months on the Adrenal Optimiser to feel better but the B1 worked immediately.

@@sncnutrition7118 It is JARROW brand from the health food store. "Adrenal Optimizer". It is around 26.00. You could probably get it on line. I took 2 with 1 B1. I would then wait 4 hours and take the same dosage again. You will know when to cut back to 1 dose. I was so ill that I would take it as soon as I got up, usually at 8 am then at noon. I feel so much better!!! I took this for 8 months. I will never stop taking the B1...now I only take 1 a day at 150mg. God bless you. I pray you feel better soon! Anyone with anger or stress isues, even depression would benefit from these supplements!

My mother was in nursing home for over 10 years! She had a lot wrong with her! She had tremors! Couldn't feed herself! Food went flying! But in a month &half she could feed herself again! = Doctor prescribed 8oz of wine per day! It worked for her! & no urinary tract infections while drinking wine!

As a retired end of life care nurse, I love hearing these stories! I served many drinks (under physician orders) and observed the various physical and psychosocial effects.
For some, the ritual itself was so calming and supportive that the patient barely drank and was relaxed and in less pain. One lady had a shot of Southern Comfort every night for PTSD and sleep. She was a Holocaust survivor.

@@auntkaren3803 you are absolutely correct! And in my opinion = it's their last time on earth = so why shouldn't they be happy! PS i tried too get the nursing home T00 once or twice a week/ get fast food from the fast food restaurants for them! That is what most of them were used too eating! But no! They would eat when they got that! But nursing home only wanted too complain that they had T00 through away lots of food and how much it cost $ ! I tried too explain that off of the Dollar menu it would save them money & the people would eat better and be happier! Next on my mother's last Hospice! Half of the staff and other people [ either were happy or TOTALLY mad at me ] because? I did not want her too lay in agonizing pain! So i told them and they did give her hard drugs so she would not be in pain! She only had a few days either way (in pain or no pain)! I think that when their turn eventually comes = they will opp for drugs over pain!.

I started with 150mg benfo for anxiety and other alcoholic symptoms about 6 weeks ago, few days after that i went upto 300mg and it worked even better. All symptons down 90-95% so i decided to try upping my dose to 600mg wich kickes off an insane paradoxical reaction and everything ia back now. Ive not been eating so i guess my potassium is drained. Ive uppes my magnesium glycinate to 500mg. Should i stop and fuel up on magnesium and potassium before starting with 300mg again ?

I did basically the same thing. I went from 100mg TTFD and 300mg benfothiamine every morning and felt better immediately. That lasted about 2 weeks before the Paradoxical symptoms started. They subsided after about a month. I upped the dose by taking the same amount twice a day and the same thing happened. After about a month improvements came and I upped the dose again. I now take 100mg of TTFD and 300mg combined with 700mg magnesium and 1500mg potassium three times a day and a methylated B-complex in the morning and I haven’t had any paradoxical symptoms so far and it’s been over a month.
All I’m seeing now are improvements. My anxiety is pretty much gone and so is my brain fog. I had a TMJ problem, gone. My neuropathy in my foot has improved by 90%, it’s not a constant pain anymore. Most of the time I don’t feel it at all. The neuropathy in my hand is completely gone. My POTS are gone. My gut issues have been resolved. Even my eye has improved. I’ve had a retinal hemorrhage in my right eye and been getting monthly injections to stabilize it. For the first time in three years are the doctors seeing improvements and actual remission.
The only thing I still struggle with is air hunger, I often feel like I can’t take a deep breath and I still have a hard time getting rid of lactic acid. I’ve started supplementing with bicarbonate that I take before bed and that seems to help.
The only tip I can give you is pushing through the paradoxical reactions because they will die off. Have in mind that new completely different symptoms can occur, even ones you never had before.

Elliot, there was also a study in MS. I read the study and convinced a friend to try. The study said effects should be noticed in 3 days. We dosed for 7 days. I used 3 different thaimine forms, a B complex, and added D3, magnesium, astaxantan, and alpha lipoic acid. Zero impact. I dosed at 125 percent orally for body weight and divided it into a breakfast and lunch portion. Any thoughts?

New article in Science: "Pyrimidines maintain mitochondrial pyruvate oxidation to support de novo lipogenesis". From Editor's Summary: '"Pyrimidines are essential metabolites for biosynthesis but are not typically viewed as playing an important role in central carbon metabolism. Sahu et al. now report that pyrimidines influence the activity of pyruvate dehydrogenase, a key intermediary enzyme between glycolysis and the tricarboxylic acid cycle and respiration. Depletion of pyrimidines led to loss of thiamine pyrophosphate (a required cofactor for pyruvate dehydrogenase), apparently because the pyrimidine UTP rather than ATP functions as a preferred substrate for TPK1, the enzyme that produces thiamine pyrophosphate. ...'
