Yeah Phil, the old wooden overhead booking ticket office is heritage listed and is staying. If they were going to remove it, it would have happened by now.
Hi Phil, thanks for sharing another excellent video. Dulwich Hill was the next station to Marrickville, where I used to live prior to mid 1981. Interesting seeing all the changes there. I remember many years ago back in the early 1960s, visiting a school friend living at Dulwich Hill. He even had his own tree house in the back yard. I am not sure how far his house was from the station. Anyway, take care. Rob in Melbourne Australia.
Hi Phil great video just wounding if for the last day for the T3 Bankstown line they are going to do the same as what they did with the T6 Carlingford line with running red Set F1 and even sliver Set S28?
It's sad Phil, I took a trip on a Kset this morning from Wynard to Glenfield as an Aboriginal Elder who would ride the Red Sets there is so many pot holes on that line brother to run a Tset at those speeds, means massive difference/derailement, ie Granville 1977 Comments appreciated ?? ily.Ther ce
It will certainly be something for the history books for sure. Having lived at Marrickville for the earlier part of my life, I find it rather difficult to take it all in.
Hey Sydney trains Vlogs I don't know if you readed my last comment on your video you did at Hurlstone Park what date does the T3 Bankstown Line Close to get converted to Sydney metro?
Hi, thiswa great. Hope I had not been through here, before? Still waiting to see if they have fixed the access on the downside of the station? I met Craig at the Crow's Next Metro Open Day, yesterday. I had a photo with him. Were you there by any chance? I interrupted an interview the big boss of Metro was doing. I guess they will edit me out. Watch for my videos and photos, later.
The curves in platform 1 might cause a couple of problems. And the interchange between L1 and M will be better than the original hike. That K set was very clean. ☮🏳🌈
Freight Trains. The line heads to Chullora where there is the Pacific National Enfield Yard. Once upon a time you could see an empty passenger train travelling up that line. They used to have a wheel lathe there or so I have heard.
The worst decision concerning public transport in NSW history was the scrapping all the original trams during the 1950s and 1960s, then finally closing the entire system completely in 1961, rather than modernizing the the trams and converting them to light rail. If that had happened, Sydney would have saved a small fortune in money, especially when now having to reinstall light rail from scratch. Also, it would now have the world's largest tram system. However, I will admit, removing Sydney trains from the Bankstown line, would certainly be a close second.
Definitely. In fact the Concord Cabarita lines on their own just about covered the same area as most of the Melbourne tram system, though as Melbourne has since extended several tram routes since, that would not be the current situation. Still I think the Sydney tram system originally beat Melbourne in size. It was actually said to be the world's second largest tram system in its day, only beaten by London UK.
Congrats on vlog two thousand two hundred and twenty two
Can't wait for vlog 3333!!1! I love this series by the way.
Excellent video Phil

Is it just me or are the platforms at Dulwich Hill station less curved than last time I saw it?
😢😢😢I’m not ready for this closing

Will the freight track will still be in operation?
Lots of changes were scheduled for the 2 week shutdown which began the day after this was filmed, including gap fillers.
Why is the t3 ending the line. is i because of the sydney metro?
Yes, the Bankstown Line are being converted to metro.
Hey Phil nice video, was just wondering if you’re planning to see S28 run up to Mt Victoria on the 9th?
wdym
Where do you book this?
We got vlog 2222, i proclaim this day as Vlog Twosday
I thought they closed it months ago didn't realise it was still going?
The will close in July
RIP 🪦 Bankstown line
I bet the next station is Marrickville
If it is Marrickville, that would be excellent.
What are the other 2 tracks used for

This has to be the worst decision concerning public transport in NSW history. I can't believe Chris Minns is letting this go ahead.
There must be quite a capacity loss per train for a normal double decker compared with a metro train
