- I travel further up Samar Island in the Philippines to the capital city of Calbayog. Trying to find a nice hotel here is more difficult than I expected but the ride from Catbalogon was only just over an hour. This is a walk and talk as I explore the city so come along for the adventure.

Calbayog City is a lot bigger then Catbalogan.
Can you do a survey as to how the Philippines people feel about this vaccine disinformation conducted by the US Army from 2020 to 2023. As the reports surmised, tens of thousands of people may have died from not getting vaccinated.

Catbalogan is the capital city, however there are more governmental offices in Calbayog as it is closer to Allen town where the ferry is for road travel to Manila.
I’m enjoying your adventures over there my fellow Canuck. The heat would probably have me melted into a little puddle of Canadian but a part of me is there with you as you travel to places I’ll never be. Happy Trails friend.

If you're afraid of the heat, you can go to Biguio, which is the coolest place in the Philippines, but the hotel prices there are also the most expensive in the Philippines

Hey buddy have you been to laos yet , you could go back to china via Bangkok, Vientiane, Vientiane to Kunming by china lao high speed rail. Looks like phillipenes is worse off than laos and Cambodia economic wise, I hear they dumpsters dive for leftover chicken and wash and prepare those dishes. Watch out 😂, thanks for sharing .
