Awesome video guy's 👍, Beautiful country great drome shots 👍, I wanted to go when I was there a year & a half ago but it was closed 1st of Sept so we went through the south Canal awesome trip :) I will be back ! Take care
Reflecting on how much the road has changed over the years, we drove the North Canol three times in the mid-1980s. The road was in good condition up to Mac Pass and the access to the mine. However, maintenance was lacking from the NWT border onward, although it remained an easy drive to Camp Mile 222, with only a few rough patches. At Camp Mile 222, we visited a wildlife officer and his wife, who were stationed there. They became friends and welcomed us back. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
What a great experience for you guys! The road has definitely been neglected over the last few decades but I think that's what makes it exciting. The trail after Macmillan pass towards Norman Wells is definitely compelling. Would make a great backpacking trip 😁. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment about your experience. All the best !
This is some of the most spectacular scenery of Canada's north I have ever seen. I know the footage doesn't do these places justice, but I felt totally immersed with your editing. Great job!
I was on the edge of my seat watching this video . I agree it wasn’t a very well kept road. You were absolutely in the middle of no where. However it was very picturesque and wild and interesting. I would have never known about this road if you didn’t drive it. Maybe you’re lucky you only saw bear poop, the beer must have been huge. The stress I saw on your face worrying about lack of gas. Became a nail biter, thank to heavens your friends had the extra. All and all we enjoyed see you both and Diesel. Oh! We saw the bus and mice repellent. Made us have a big smile. ❤
@@evyonepike7457 The mice repellent is always ready to go ! 🤣. Miss you guys. I hope you're all doing well over there! Sorry to make you worry, this was definitely one of our favourite trips so far ! Loved the challenge and the scenery of the north is incredible. Thanks for always being here ❤️🙏 all the best !
Roads like that require a lot of good tunes and a lot of good "herbal relaxation" 😂 drive even slower, and you won't get so mentally exhausted from staring down every rock in the road, helps the nerves a lot.
Haha very true. It's hard to imagine going even slower. I know some of the footage makes it look as if we're going "faster" but it definitely didn't feel that way 🤣.
Hello to all of you. You are lucky to be able to go to the end of the road. In 2022 I attempted it unfortunately the road was flooded at about 30 Km North of Ross River. It was too deep to go through so I had to turn around. I miss living in the North. Great video and story, thank you for sharing. Greeting from Winnipeg 🇨🇦
@@ericnexplore Hey Eric! That's too bad about your experience, hopefully you get back up north to attempt it again! Definitely one of the best trips we've done! I wonder if the spot you mention about being flooded was the same where we had to go through the deep water at the broken culvert.... However there are several spots that are prone to flooding 😅. Cheers and thanks for the kind words 🙏 All the best
Also be careful going that fast through the water, if you suck water into your air intake, you're in big trouble. Slow and steady in low gear. 25 psi is completely safe in your rig, did you say you have 10 ply? If so then 20 is completely safe I go as low as 11 in the snow.
Appreciate the insight ! We definitely learned a lot this trip... And yeah we got very lucky with the water going over the hood... Could've been bad. We have some AT's on the van now so we're a little more confident next time we're out on roads like this. Thanks for being here ! Cheers
This was so awesome you two! It was great seeing the Canol from your perspective. And Kyle, great editing son.
Legend has it we'd still be out there if it weren't for the extra 10L. Miss you guys ❤️
What an adventure. Thanks for being real in your trip description. Excellent editing and footage. Looking forward to more of your adventures.
This was a fun one for sure, one of our favourites ! We appreciate the kind words ❤️
Great vid. Epic drive and scenery.
