wish i could see this video 15 years ago when i was trying to learn this move. i never managed to do it even tho i was training a lot of flips in gymnastics. now im 31, overweight with backpain and stopped by the age of 17
Both can be used, it depends on what technique and progression you use. From under and forward works great. if your gymnasts are having problems keeping body position I would stick to using the arms from up and forward, but if they can keep their body position well then use the arms from down and forward :D

I have bean teached to have hands coming from under when doing handstands jumps, not from top, what is right?
