Bless Robin Williams. He provided a great number of hours of raw ad-libbed lines for his role as the Genie that the creators couldn’t fit the entirety of them in the film.😅 Fortunately, there is some footage of said ad-libbed lines that weren’t used in the final cut that was released by Disney and they are hilarious!

I’d watch Aladdin all the time growing up because of the wonderful animation (both 2D and 3D), the cast of character’s(Genie and Jafar are my favorites btw), and the soundtrack is always great (Arabian Nights and Friend Like Me are also my favorites). Fun Fact: Robin Williams voiced the Genie for SAG scale pay ($75,000), on condition that his name or image not be used for marketing, and his (supporting) character not take more than 25% of space on advertising artwork, since Toys was scheduled for release one month after Aladdin's debut. For financial reasons, the studio went back on the deal on both counts, especially in poster art by having the Genie in 25% of the image, but having other major and supporting characters portrayed considerably smaller."

Unfortunately, Robin would be in bad terms again with Disney in 1999 after the financial failure Bicentennial Man. Aladdin's gotta be my favorite classic Disney movie, alongside Hercules and Atlantis
The sequels (especially The Return of Jafar) do have a noticably lower quality, as was usual back then, but personally I was never bothered by that, since I also loved to watch the TV series (which has about the same quality as the second movie and is supposed to take place right after it; unfortunately Robin Williams only voices Genie in movies 1 and 3, but in my opinion Dan Castellaneta still does a great job in The Return of Jafar and the series)
I'd say the sequels are worth checking out if you enjoy the characters and want to see where they go from here
Also little fun fact about the series- or rather the Disney's Hercules TV series: There's an episode called Hercules and The Arabian Night which as the name suggests is a crossover between Hercules and Aladdin and while it's sadly lagging in Genie-screentime, it is a lot of fun, especially with the villain team up it gives us
(chronologically it takes place after the third Aladdin movie btw)

Hey Cody! Are you open for movie suggestions? If so, I would like to recommend this animated movie called "Wish Dragon". Many people said that Wish Dragon copied Aladdin since the movie focuses on this boy and a magical dragon who lives in a teapot. It's a great movie and I would like you to see it

I love this movie so much. I actually saw the behind the scenes recording sessions bit and one of the improvized lines was from Robin Williams. Genie's repsonse to Aladdin asking how he looked made me do a spit take: "Like a vampire on a day pass"

You may hate this suggestion, but you should watch Team StarKids' production of Twisted. It is basically Aladdin the musical, but told from Jafar's point-of-view. It is influenced by Wicked which is The Wizard of Oz told by the wicked witch and has many Disney references in it. It is ine of those things you may either love or hate because of what it does to the characters and story. Many of the songs slay though and may be worth a look. Warning for adult language and situations.

Nowadays, even common people can marry royalty and therefore THEY can become royalities too (like the husband of our Crown Princess Victoria, he was a regular joe before dating and married her) but in the past only royalites, aristcrats and other people of high authorities and blue blood were permitted to marry royalties, so NO, under normal circumstances Aladdin weren't allowed to marry Jasmine. Like they say again and again, she HAD to marry a prince, hence why Aladdin wished to become a prince. He got allowed to get married at the end not only because Jasmine loved him but he saved her, the Sultan and Agrabah and got rid of Jafar, the usurper of the thrown. The Sultan saw that Aladdin was a great man with character of high moral and therefore approved the marriage by changing the law (which he could have done all along but he was following the tradition and his intention was to make sure someone would take care of her after he was gone, it was the love for Aladdin and his heroics despite his deception through the wish, that made him open his eyes).

    Fun facts about this movie:
Robin Williams was always the number one choice to play the genie. So much so that in order to convince Robin to play Genie the animators did story boards of the genie doing Robin’s comedy to convince him to take the role.
Later when recording for the movie, Robin did so much improve in the studio recording room that the animators knew they had to include it. So a lot of the stuff you see in the movie was just Robin doing improve.
You should look up behind the scenes stuff for Genie ideas that were not in the film.

The animators had a philosophy called “hurt the bird” to prevent things from getting stale, they would randomly come up with a creative way to injure Iago.

Yeah Jafar was my favorite villain as a kid I always thought he was funny :D but when I got older I realised how rude he is to Jasmine and how gross it is that he actually has her as his slave for a while and calling her ”pussycat”. For some reason I didn’t see how gross he was before. Poor Jasmine. She’s like 15 or something and he is what, like 50? but he sure is a creepy villain and funny sometimes of course but also a really gross and mean man :/ like doesn’t he care that he is way too old for Jasmine :O he is sooo annoying but at the same time a great villain
