I grew up listening to James Taylor and he transcends time. I met a up and coming 25 yr old who performs for our retirement community. He's a singer song writer inspired by Jzmes Taylor's music. The next generations are discovering the singer/song writers of the 60's. Laura Nyro is another one who is being rediscovered by younger generations. She should be a bigger presence in our cultural American song book. Love Jamrs Taylor and he still putting out music 🎶 and performing 🎭!
I've loved James Taylor since I heard him in the early 70's! ❤ I just bought his new CD! He's coming to Saint Louis, MO in June. I wish I could go.😢 But, I'll listen to him no matter what. 🤗❤❤🙏 God Bless James Taylor 🙏
10000% I agree with you... love thus shared evening.. especially as our would becomes more complicated... let's share these except for the commercials ug
I was 9 yrs old in the year 1990s when I first heard this song, I think... I still love it listening nowadays... Anyone in 2024 please like my comment so that I'll keep coming n listen to this song again n again
I think I saw a different live version actually. The music is slightly diff. The background singers were different on the one I remember airing in Raleigh. Still a top fave. Thank y'all.
The legendary Leland Sklar who works also with some prominent artist like Jackson Browne, Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, Phil Collins, Toto, The Doors and Lyle Lovett.
Chris Cross, one of the great singer/song writter. And to you sir Lee, I'm a big fan of yours since I saw the seriously LIVE in Berlin video of the great Phil Collins. I was so inspired of playing the bass guitar like you do. Seems simple but full of life if I may say so. Like the saying goes, less is more. All the best to you and your family and thank youso much.
The amazing Leland Sklar on bass but who is that other terrific guitarist with the fantastic intro/wow! This is a great performance and JT is a music phenom. Every single musician and those backup singers...
Their is so much sorrow in this world and for all who has lost a comrades I can't imagine how much you love them but they were there for you and you were there for them. God bless you for all your love for our great nation

I used to have a killer Ovation acoustic guitar that would chord just perfect. I would sing and play this song to a girl who would literally cry when I did it. She was smitten.
The dude in the crowd at the end coerced me to google Billy Strings' birth date. Born in 92... this in 86. Nope, not him. UNLESS Willy Nelson passed along his gift of time travel.
Used to imagine Heath Ledger playing James in a movie about his marriage to Carly Simon...Heath probably could have bren able to capture Jame's personality and voice.😊😊

OLD SCHOOL IS THE BEST SCHOOL! James Taylor has to be my favorite single artist, ever. They don’t make music like they used to, that’s for sure.
I saw James Taylor with this excellent group; really terrific! Rosemary Butler and Arnold McCuller did great backup vocals 👏👏👏
Brilliant musicians, true masterpieces.👏
One of my favorites, there are so many beautiful tunes from James, always takes my heart to a good place.
Thank you!❤️👍

What I wouldn't give to go back 50 years, this music is my soul and my youth.
I remember when I heard this song, very typical of that style, which was already born classic, one more from the great James!
Love this timeless classic from James Taylor . Definitely a fav .
Wow. The late Carlos Vega on drums.
This song never gets old. As he smirks while singing Im your handyman.”

My favorite Bee Gees song, it was also my first favorite back in the day. I will never tire of this masterpiece of a love song. ❤
I love the harmonies when you sing the line, “Here is the main thing I want to say.” perfect!
The legendary Leland Sklar who works also with some prominent artist like Jackson Browne, Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, Phil Collins, Toto, The Doors and Lyle Lovett.

This was the probably the best songs by James Taylor Handy Man😂
Nice song
James did a slow down version of this song. The original came out in the late 50's or early 60's.
Makes me want to dig out "The Last Waltz".
Wow ❤ wonderful ❤
Very good...
TOP
This intro is pretty cool, it reminds me a lot of "Beast of Burden" by the Rolling Stones. Not a criticism, just an observation.

Jimmy Jones wrote and sang the song in 1960. Covered by Del Shannon and James Taylor. Not The Bee Gees!
