Lyrics Hey girls, gather round Listen to what I'm puttin' down Hey, baby, I'm your handy man I'm not the kind that uses pencil or rule I'm handy with love and I'm no fool I fix broken hearts, I know but I truly can If your broken heart, she needs repair Then I am the man to see, I whisper sweet things You tell all your friends, they'll come running to me Here is the main thing that I want to say I'm busy twenty four hours a day I fix broken hearts, I know but I truly can Come, come, come, come, come, come, come Yeah, yeah, yeah Come, come, come, come, come, come, come, oh now They'll come runnin' to me Here is the main thing I want to say I'm busy twenty four hours a day I fix broken hearts, baby I'm your handy man Come, come, come, come, come, come, come Yeah, yeah, yeah Come, come, come, come, come, come, come Yeah, yeah, yeah That's me (Come, come, come, come, come, come) I'm your handy man (Yeah, yeah, yeah) That's me (Come, come, come, come, come, come) I'm your handy man (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
This song came out in 1977. My high school sweetheart and I were engaged to get married. We never had any problems until then. We started having problems and he started getting doubts about marriage. I was heartbroken because we had wanted to be married since HS. This was the perfect song for me. My heart was broken. He got over his doubts and we’ve been happily married 40 something years.
This is one of my favorite songs. The other one is "I'm easy like Sunday morning by Lionel Richie. When I say "easy" I mean mellow. I was raised in the 70s and I was surrounded by mellow, peaceful music. My father moved next door so even if my parents were separated I was able to see my Dad every day. I was happy. My brothers from my Dad's first marriage said I was the peace maker because I was my mother's and father's go-between. Later when Dad came to live with me my mom would bring me a meal for him to help me out. As my mom was walking up to my house, my Dad saw her walking up, he said "She's a good girl." When I was a teenager I asked my Dad why he hated my mom, he said, " I don't hate your mom, how could I have you beautiful children without her." That was very healing for me.
My dad was an electrician and loved this song. He has since passed away from prostate cancer. Tonight, everyone at a poker game I was at, were signing along when this song came on. And I thought, these are the precious moments in life... There are so few really.

The affordable health care act is a handyman who cares, and sees your life and being, and descents your being a good woman and one not to be exploited. You will come to see her - as one who deserves help - and is not on your agenda of who a wise woman will you when she knows your motives and she will surely scatter you when she could of been the one could and would - build you up. . Men listen. Take it - one better than you who watches can scatter and trip you up as your motives are explored - sifted - - and found wanting. Be not arrogant for your skills. Match her heart and bow low to be blessing a find a new way of being. Amen ? .

The texture of his voice is so fulfilling. Without James Taylor, the world would be still awaiting the arrival of thee "James Taylor"!
Thanks for the Video! Excuse me for chiming in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you thought about - Rozardner Successful Handyman Reality (just google it)? It is a great exclusive product for how to start a handyman business without the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my best friend Jordan at last got great success with it.
@@marbelz.p6018 never heard of it but as a corrections officer I've been trying to get my inmates to understand that just because they have a felony and can't get the better jobs they can become handymen and work for themselves making good money. It's hard to find good handymen in the community now when they used to come a dime a dozen.

Hey girls, gather round
Listen to what I'm putting down
Hey baby, I'm your handy man
I'm not the kind to use a pencil or rule
I'm handy with love and I'm no fool
I fix broken hearts, I know that I truly can
If your broken heart should need repair
Then I am the man to see
I whisper sweet things
You tell all your friends
They'll come running to me
Here is the main thing that I want to say
I'm busy 24 hours a day
I fix broken hearts
I know that I truly can
Come-a, come-a, come-a, come-a, come, come
Come on
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Come-a, come-a, come-a, come-a, come, come
Oh now, they'll come running to me
Here is the main thing I want to say
I'm busy 24 hours a day
I fix broken hearts, baby
I'm your handy man
Come-a, come-a, come-a, come-a, come, come
Come
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Come-a, come-a, come-a, come-a, come, come
Come
Yeah, yeah, yeah
That's me
(Come-a, come-a, come-a, come-a, come, come)
I'm your handy man
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)
That's me
(Come-a, come-a, come-a, come-a, come, come)
I'm your handy man
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)

David Lynch did not send me here. I just found a bunch of old tapes, and my dad recorded this song off the radio in Orange County when he used to travel. I haven't heard this song since I was a pup. Great song!
Então eu sou o cara a consultar
Sussurro palavras doces, conte a suas amigas
Que elas virão correndo para mim
E o mais importante que tenho a dizer:
Estou ocupado 24 horas por dia
Conserto corações partidos e sei que realmente consigo
Venham, venham, venham, venham, venham
Sim, sim, sim
Venham, venham, venham, venham, venham
Elas virão correndo para mim
O mais importante que tenho a dizer:
Estou ocupado 24 horas por dia
Conserto corações partidos, amor, sou o seu homem faz-tudo
Venham, venham, venham, venham, venham
Sim, sim, sim
I had a video tape of a concert of his music from PBS. I would put that tape on every night after I would get off of work. Good stuff.
Black skies and beautiful starlight atm guys!

I’ve loved this song since I was a young girl! Idk why? But I’m still listening to it today I’m 53 it’s 2020. James has a great relaxing voice still
I am60 year old
I'm 71 lol. One of my Desert Island Discs.
I agree.
He truly was blessed with an amazing voice...
I'm glad that my parents passed onto me the love of soft classic rock.
The music of today (or rather noise) will never compare.
Ven, ven, ven, ven, ven,....
Si, si , si .
Aí que Saudades, quando conhecir meu esposo estava tocando essa canção.
My favorite James Taylor Song from the summer of '77
Finally found the song title lads! 🫡 i was 14 when i tried searching this song but can’t find it, now I’m currently 25 and will be 26 this july 2024 🌌🙏🏻🤞🏻💘
This one came out the same year I was in college. Brings back so many memories! Many of my female friends at the college called me their "Handyman" because I was willing to listen when they needed a non-biased ear. Miss you all!
Sheeeeessh u old
So let's do the math! :) Song came out in 1964. Freshman? in college = 18. 1946 birthday? No wait, I'll bet you didn't know about Del Shannon.
Just as beautiful as the very first day I heard it on my transistor radio, Aww the 70s have thee absolute best “ Handy Man’s” !! ♥️🌹🎶😍🥰 Yeahhhh Yeahhhh… Let me tell you this, This young man can truly fix your broken heart.
🎶💔🥀🎶♥️🌹😻✍️
Timeless !!! How different is the song nowadays ! Music is music and period. The rest is a try (or sometimes is a sa.bo.ta.ge of the de.v.i.l ). Great ARTIST !!!
This song is also a classic and makes you mentally feel better.
Nicole McDavid My grandpa introduced me to him a while back. Every times I feel like I’m getting down or life isn’t going right I always listen to him. The way he sounds and the words he is able to express just seems to make everything so much better.
Nicole McDavid me too ❤️
Nicole, much better than the garbage that masquerades as music today.
I agree
The affordable health care act is a handyman who cares, and sees your life and being, and descents your being a good woman and one not to be exploited. You will come to see her - as one who deserves help - and is not on your agenda of who a wise woman will you when she knows your motives and she will surely scatter you when she could of been the one could and would - build you up. . Men listen. Take it - one better than you who watches can scatter and trip you up as your motives are explored - sifted - - and found wanting. Be not arrogant for your skills. Match her heart and bow low to be blessing a find a new way of being. Amen ? .
I love this song so much, I was in USA when it first came out. I stayed home taking care of my very young child, so I had all of the time to listen.
My son who's 23 years old now loved this song so dear. Though he was born in Gen Z, he loves James Taylor more than any new singer these days.
James Taylor, never forgotten, Aussie Fan🤗👍🤗👍
Alguém aí em 2020?

Show, linda música.
