Free cleaning for overwhelmed parents w/ mental health issues -pantry, dining room, bathroom

- I am helping this family of 5 by cleaning their home for free. In this video, I will tackle the pantry, dining room, and downstairs bathroom. Both parents struggle with mental health issues, including ADHD, severe anxiety and depression, and OCD resulting in financial issues and struggles keeping up with house work. The family consists of Mom, Dad, 13-year-old boy with autism, 8-year-old girl, and a toddler. Two years ago, while Mom was going through a rough pregnancy, Dad tried to manage the extra burden and eventually got overwhelmed because of his ADHD to the point he kind of gave up and things spiraled and have built up to the condition you see the house in today. There are other challenges they face which I won't go into in order to protect the family, but please try to be compassionate as you watch this video and don't judge.

I suffered from debilitating post-partum depression with both of my children. It was many years ago, and I had never heard of post-partum depression. I was not diagnosed and did not receive any help. My mother died when I was young, and I had no family support. All I received was extreme criticism from my husband and his family. Having babies and raising children requires superpowers. It is the most difficult thankless thing that a woman will ever do. We, as women, need to support each other and not criticize. Bonnie, you and your family are such a blessing! May God bless you greatly!
It's sad to think of all of the many women who suffered from postpartum depression before people knew what to call it and got criticism for it instead of help. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. 😔I'm glad our world is becoming more aware of mental health in all aspects and the shame around it is becoming less.🙏
I bought wooden crates at Hobby Lobby and added wheels from Home Depot. They’re in the floor of my pantry so they’re easily rolled out to clean the floor.

So I figured out after I said that, that I miscalculated the hours. I was there about 8-9 hours each day and then 5 hours on the half day, so it was more like 29-30 hours, but still...a lot. 😊

@@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp You know, I watched some of your videos today and felt so motivated that I managed to put away my freshly washed laundry (which I always fold nicely, but then never put away). also I vacuumed my carpet in the living room and worked on it with dishwashing soap-spray and a scrub-sponge and now the colors shine beautifully again.🥰This relaxed motivation to clean is kind of contagious. That's why I love this kind of content, because it shows how easy and sometimes quickly some things can be done. But please don't feel pressured to do more more more content. In the UK is another creator (Remi Clog), she is really great, too...she shows videos from her home only, but she is neurodivergent (adhd) with family (two kids, husband and a dog)... she has such a warm way of telling about her everyday life and struggles that all her videos are almost therapeutic for me.☺You all are just great people and I'm so glad that this movement exists.🥇♥

Yours has become my favorite of all the cleaning channels Bonnie. I just love your kind, calm, and sweet demeanor. I definitely prefer a mixture of narration and sped-up live sounds, as opposed to music, but a little bit of music here and there is fine! :) I also really like the sped-up voice sounds that Mac does on Midwest Magic Cleaning... they just sound so cute!

When you mentioned Toothless I laughed because my girl Miko is a tuxedo but mostly black. I have French doors from my living room to my sunporch and in the evening Miko stands in front of them looking up at the doorknobs and will stand there for minutes and I’ve always thought she looks just like Toothless when she does that!! BTW you are not boring!

There is a channel I used to watch that would use a squeegee to trap water into a dust pan, and then transfer the liquid to the toilet or a plastic bag, thus saving a ton of paper towels.
That's a great idea. Although, that is one thing that already makes me gag a little bit is the stuff that I squeegee up from the floor, so I might actually throw up if I had to pick it up to take to the toilet. At least the paper towels cover it up so I don't think so much about what I'm looking at. LOL!

Tip, lemon essential oil has removed permanant marker from hard wood floors.
I worked as a nurse for several years and one trick we had was to use a thin strip of toothpaste under our noses then put a mask on. You don't smell anything but mint. Remember to wipe it off later otherwise a mustash appears. Same thing can be used with Vick's nasal gel.
Great tip, though I think I might have issues with putting toothpaste on my top lip. I have a few sensory issues and I think that would drive me crazy after it dried.😄 But, for those that can handle it, it's a great tip!

Everyone deals with trauma differently and everyone's brains work a little differently. I have learned that a lot of people don't really see the mess the same way you or I would. Of course they see the mess, but they process it a little differently and to them it's not that bad.🤷♀️😊
