HHO Hydrogen Generator Upgrade to Create more Hydrogen Gas - Warning Hydrogen is Volatile!

  • Modify 95L/Hr @ 20Amp Generator to try increase Hydrogen production. We achieved approx same volume Hydrogen at half the Amperage of 10A. We havent tried at the max 20Amp ( more concentrated Potassium Hydroxide KOH Electrolyte Solution ) because higher concentration creates more "sludge" residue. I AM NO EXPERT
    HHO burns and also travels about 10 times faster than gasoline flame *** So BE VERY CAREFUL !
    When running Hydrogen in an Engine, the faster burn will help keep Engine Clean and also run Cooler. The burning HHO will also emit less harmful gasses, when an Engine emits higher percentage of Oxygen and lower percentages of CO2 ( Carbon Dioxide ) & CO ( Carbon Monoxide ) this will result in cleaner exhaust emissions.
    I have tried various other electrolyte solutions...Bi Barb Soda, Salt, Garden Potash, Caustic Soda, Drain Cleaner etc. but have found the Trade-Off between production of HHO and sludge residue is a key factor. So far I have found that KOH ( Potassium Hydroxide ) also known as Lye or Caustic Potash seems to be the best. The flakes also dissolve easily in distilled water.
    PLEASE Make sure you have an anti flash-back method on your generator or you may lose all your eye-brows or worse.... Hydrogen is VERY VOLATILE & DANGEROUS !

    For Many years we have tested varying the solutions to increase gas Production from our Hydrogen systems
    The issue is that in hot conditions the solution conductivity increases and the current flow increases to the stage where the temperature of the solution exceeds 60 degrees celcius and the systems begins thermal runaway. This can damage the systems and reduce the period the system can be used continually. The methods of controlling this have been to use a PWM unit that limits the current flow and passing excess current through the electronic circuit to dissipate the heat using the large heat sinks of the PWM. This works but it still wastes energy.
    Another method of controlling the situation is to control the Heat generated by using a solution concentration control together with a PWM Unit. When setup correctly this involves both voltage and current control allowing a massive increase in gas production, as well as controlling current and voltage used by the system… We tested this in many systems of different sizes ( Gen 10 , Gen 15 an Gen 20 ) and produced 3.2 litres of gas per min using current flows that were previously producing 1.8 to 1.9 litres per minute. Typical data results for the Gen 15 system are shown below.
    In these tests for a Gen 10 system, it is essential to use only 10 grams of potassium hydroxide mixed with 4 litres of distilled water , so that the initial current flow starts at 15 amp ( Generating 1.3 litres of gas per minute) over the next 1 hour the current rises to 29 amp and generates 2.2 litres per minute
    The volume remains constant and the temperature of the solution stabilizes at 50 celcius
    Repeating tests several times with a Gen 20 system produced gas flow rates of 3.2 litres per minute at 35 amp an 12 volts.
    By limiting the amount of potassium hydroxide added to 10 grams / 4 litres of solution produces an initial flow gas flow of 1.2 L/min . As the solution warms the value of the overvoltage remains almost constant therefore limiting the amount of heat generated leaving more energy available to produce hydrogen.
    Starting with a strong electrolyte means the solutions warms and drastically increases the conductivity producing much greater overvoltage for the warm solution and wasting much more energy as heat energy rather than having energy for making hydrogen
    The Rule to follow is
    1. add 10 grams of electrolyte to the 4 litres of water,
    2. Use the PWM to Set the system to start at 15 amp using 12.8 volts (battery)
    3. Run the system and further minor adjust the PWM once the current reaches 29 amp . Lock it at 29 amp.
    4. Add water once the system has used 1.2 litres of solution ( 12 hours)
    For larger recycling tanks Step 3 will be less significant.
    Overall we found that by limiting the solution concentration we avoided overvoltage, excessive heat and made the current will reach a peak of 28 to 34Amp and produce almost 80% more gas.

    I know I'm a little late seeing this video but be cause you have neutral plates in your cell to increase your cell performance you need to increase the voltage across the cells to achieve a higher performance. your should be aiming for 2 volts Per gap. once that is achieved add koh untill (at temperature) you reach your amperage goal IE: 20 amps.

      hi, sorry i havent had time to play with it for a while. the difference in results i was was trying to find using same electrolyte to improve volume of hydrogen. will also be trying with neodymium magnets as someone has suggested to me. cheers

Электролизёр у автора и не мог вырабатывать больше газа так как источник питания имеет ограничение по току примерно 9 А .Следовательно при параллельном включении токи распределятся по 4.5 А . Поэтому источник питания надо настраивать на максимум 20А . СПАСИБО ЗА ВНИМАНИЯ.. Я продолжу блок питания в электролизёре всего на 10А . Так что с этого блока питания 20 А невозможно выжать . Источник питания следовательно надо или менять или необходимо модернизировать.....

      hi, yes tried all configurations, but not bigger outlet like you suggested. i`d have to redo the outlet pipe fitting on the chamber. got me thinking yes because it does build a reasonable pressure quite quickly so a larger outlet and hose would improve flow capacity. cheers for that

    electrolyte (koh) , you may need a tiny bit more. id test both sides for amperage draw, are both halves drawing the similar current, isolating one half then the other. guessing its 24v , typically cells are approx 2v per plate, 5 neutrals for12v, 10 neutrals for 24v , negative plates make hydrogen , pos makes O2. neutrals make both hydrogen and O2 , hydrogen on the neg side of the neutral and O2 on the positive side of the neutral plate , not unusual to see only a slight increase in current draw at times , seems electrolyte concentration always has the final say. its a small cell youd expect 15 to 20 amps is as far as youd want to take it , but water temp is the real deciding factor, like do you want a hho cell that impersonates a kettle or not . could check for leaks soapy water, i reckon that thing needs a proper hho flash back arrestor like from OGO . ever seen what pressurized hho can do , you dont want to LOL , and ofcourse if a car decides to backfire for some obscure reason. spacings do make a good difference we run 3mm to 4mm , but two is ok , if neg and pos plate dont touch its all good. hope that is of some use.

      my configuration isnt - + - + setup .. its - n n n n n n n n n n + n n n n n n n n n n - i have a bubbler on the front that is half full of distilled water and the hydrogen production supply tube runs to the bottom of that, so acts as a flashback arrester ( reducer ) i`ve seen the flame travel all the way back through the tube to the bubbler and as well as generating hydrogen, it also then created a bit of wee at that precise moment.... there is also a pressure relief valve directly from the top of the tank ( but may be too small to reduce explosion enough ) i bought that unit about 5 years ago and bought the green one since to do carbon cleaning . your pointers are very well received, and have me thinking...thank-you and cheers

      @@YepThatsIt inside the workshop my friend had huge 2 litre bubblers under 20psi hooked to the fuel rail but my friend got impatient and didnt put enough water in the bubblers the engine backfired and i heard the bang when i was way down the street inside the post office, the thick plastic water filter containers blew into many chunks , it was amazing , the workshop is approx 70 meters wide and the plastic chunks went straight through walls and other chunks traveled in a bee line the width of the workshop straight through the windows and disappeared, man those chunks were moving they smashed through the window at the same height of where they blew apart, mind you he kinda took a few risks.

      hi, no specified amount as volume of distilled water is different. i put in a small amount to dissolve in bottle first, to get desired amps or concentration i just keep adding concentrated ( diluted ) solution. i have found that if you put too many flakes in, they wont all dissolve in the solution. this probably means solution is too strong? if i add a bit more distilled water solution ( or keep adding ) all the flakes then dissolve. i put bottle in a place i pass regularly and give it a shake whenever i pass until its all dissolved. cheers

    for 2L car at 1000rpm (idle) needs 2000L per minute with fuel /oxygen ratio 15% needs fuel of 300L per minute

      Alternate revolution , power stroke
      So 1000 cc 4 stroke will consume 500 cc per revolution ....AT FULL THROTTLE

      I thought the fan was pressurerising the unit I'm sure it's making more condensed gas. Could try using 2 fans. Or maybe the piping isn't big enough for the flow of gas

    I will explain to you. Hydrogen is produced by Amps, and this device have electronically controlled Amps. You can't get more HHO gas from same Amps, you need more amps (double the plates, double the Amps, and will get double the gas. And now, can you be honest to show that plastic housing from all sides? I have the same device but I don't need to dismantle to satisfy my curiosity, if you show me 😄

      hi, thanks for that. my research in my travels shows distance between plates makes a difference also. someone actually measured the bubble diameters and resistance of the bubbles rising between plates to allow for quicker production. i reduced the gap between the plates and added more plates increasing surface area. yes i am aware that stronger electrolyte will also help increase amperage and thus production. i have tried many different electrolytes and concentrations. the issues with electrolytes/concentrations is price and sludge/residue. cheers
