My my this is impressive Renee. You obviously put a lot of thought and care into the entire project. The hide-away microwave oven is brilliant - let alone MUCH safer than where it (inexplicably) is usually placed [above a flat-top or a gas stove]. Your dovetails look top-notch, the car vinyl a great idea, but the winner for me is your grandfather's chef's hats - how lovely, endearing and special. High-five to your masterful accomplishment; what an enormous effort.

Great organization - I love watching organization videos. Everything is very well planned out for your needs and how you work around your space. The only thing that wouldn't work for me is the microwave. I wouldn't want that many steps to be able to use it. I use mine several times a day and need easier access, but that's just me. I really like the drawer pulls and knobs, they look good with the cabinet color and style. Wish there were videos of the kitchen designing and building. Hope you make a video of building out the pantry to share.
So many great ideas! I'm writing them all down for when we finally do our kitchen. I've seen too many beautiful yet absolutely dysfunctional kitchens 😖 You really gotta tell them exactly what you want or you'll have doors that can't even open properly because they're hitting something else (previous bad experience [thought it was something everyone considered; IG not 😅]). Your cats are so curious; I loved seeing them ❤ EDIT: My favs were all of the extra pullouts in the drawers, hidden garbage & recycling & ALL THAT STORAGE UNDER THE STOVE (soooo convenient)!
i would of loved to see you build one or more...i need tall cabinet to hold stuff, want to make it, but not sure how to do the self closing...ugg!!! LOVE the lift of the the mixer, only have seen that once, and fell in love with it :)
I have several Shorts that showed me building the cabinets, doors, and drawers, if you're interested! Unfortunately, I only filmed the kitchen renovation vertically for short-form content.
Why didn't you use the false front drawer look on the corner cabinet, mixer cabinet, etc. It seems like carrying that line across the whole kitchen would have looked best.
I STRONGLY disagree 😅 The 5 smaller drawers would be entirely unrealistic for a corner cabinet (i.e. everyone would know it was "fake") + 3 cabinets, side by side, with 5 little drawers looks cluttered and lacks balance + imagine trying to pull a dishwasher open with that teeny tiny circle knob. I hope I understood your comment, properly.
@Georgeツ Not 5 drawers, just the top drawer look--to carry that strong horizontal line (that underscores the stone top) around the entire kitchen. Otherwise, why have any with fake fronts?
