Try hammered copper

Make a mall rectangle splashback from rhe copper, just about a third of the way up the bit of the wall above the sink. Like 4 inches high.

I would like the copper idea but with brass. The copper would tarnish unevenly and it's just not sturdy enough to polish.

This happened with my house paint! We got grey and it was BLUE! But we had already bought so much and I was too far in once I realized it so we just did it that color and changed the plans for how to decorate but boyd was it disappointing. Also got a grey with VERY slight lavender under tone and it was straight up purple... those color swatch papers LIE lol.
