For those of you who do not know this if you don't have a record player because it cost a lot of money fear not for if you have a cell phone put some of your favorite John Denver songs or just the albums of his music on to your cellphones or order 💿the CD player and then order the cds of his music 🎶 and have a good time and but while your at it order some kleenex because some of the songs might make you feel like crying 😢 and or they just might bring back a lot of memories back like they did for me
The sad thing is the women in his life. One wanted to be more and the other just wanted. He would of loved Annie forever, and I believe he did. He never loved again after their break up. He was taken in by Cassy, but at least a beautiful child, Jesse was born. I miss his spirit and his eyes. They were piercing. There will never be another.
To answer petrymaster: Yes, he did. This song is included in the album called It´s about time, dedicated to his father. You have to listen to the song "In the wings of a dream" included in this album.....
💓 John Denver music💓 nice song, never heard it before :) ..i find it interesting that even JD had a stint with Ovation guitars, i bought one in the 80s too regretted it, then sold it and got a Guild cause I was such a JD fan of his early music, but regrettably never really followed him through the 80s; found JD again in the 90s, noticed he was playing Taylor guitars, so I sold my Guild and went high end (for me) with Taylor; I think JD made the right choice :) ..what a fabulous voice and singer songwriter ! ..i miss him much as he is still my all-time favorite !!
I think most of us did the Ovation thing...lol I even had one of the Applause models. (The cheaper little brother of Ovation. He played a Takamine for a bit as well...
JOhn was given many guitars after he was released from his contract with Guild. This is an Ovation Guitar (the curved back is made of the same material that helocopter blades are made of). He ended up playing a Taylor guitar - but probably recorded everything using his Guilds. At the time of his death, I think he owned about 75 guitars.
That is a lot of guitars :/ but he was very skilled and possibly wanted a different sound for the materials the guitars are made of. I like the guitar he plays that has shining border around the body of guitar. I have to agree I like guitar's sound even if I am just a beginner.
This Guy went to the Philippines and judge the John Denver singing contest and he sang together with the grand winner and his voice noticeable were different bigger can't compare the original to grand winner not even close.
You probably know by now, Emma, but it is on the Its About Time Album. V expensive as a CD but the MP3 album is only £4.99 on Amazon. Its a favourite track and album of mine and I lost my cassette years ago. I miss John and always will. You too I guess.
The Album was It's About Time, not a great album IMHO, but this song, Wild Montana Sky, and yes, also World Game were the three best song of the album. The original arrangement was surely a very good one.
It is a simple G - C - D transitioning from with Am between C an D -- and of course -- hammer the high E string on the D - and the B on the G. Learn to listen - and pick it up - not to read!!!
Lovely to hear such a natural performance just John and his guitar singing to us in the morning with his vocal chords barely warmed up
Hard To Believe It's 25 Years Without John In The World 💔😭 GBNF We Miss You Beyond Words John

John was like a very fine wine! His voice got even better and he was darn good looking the older he got!
