That was the first thing I did when I heard him pull 2000-3000 dollars outta his rear. Didnt sound right at all. Looked up the minimum and recommended* specs for the game and went to PC parts picker to find the minimum requirement pc to be 1000 bucks and the recommended spec pc to be 1500 and I didn't even pick the cheapest parts.

If there's any advantage it's because people are using 0.3ms input lag monitors on PC and he's using an old TV. All he needs to do is get the fastest 120hz monitor he can find and hook his PS5 to it.

And couple frames at best of input lag means nothing when he can't react to drive impact to begin with. If he wasn't such a mashing pattern player running on autopilot, maybe he could watch for things like that and be ready. His combos aren't dropping due to input delay either, the timing isn't any different, and even if it were, it's still just muscle memory so all he needs to do is go to training for a minute to hammer it down. Modern SF has mad lenient combos, it's really not that hard.

Human reactions are like 15f IF you're expecting it, and this is assuming those 15f are visually something you can distinguish from rest of the movement, like a lot of forward dashes in SFV were 15f and most of that was no different from them just standing still or walking forward. DSP acts like he can react to 3f startup jabs and whatnot. He legit was rambling one stream how pro players can tech throws on reaction when they start up. Like, no. We still to this day watch grand final matches end in one guy getting throw looped to death in corner because it's meant to be unreactable.

I have a $1500 PC that I built 5 years ago, and SF6 runs great. You could build a PC for that game (and tons of other things) for $1000.
That was the first thing I did when I heard him pull 2000-3000 dollars outta his rear. Didnt sound right at all. Looked up the minimum and recommended* specs for the game and went to PC parts picker to find the minimum requirement pc to be 1000 bucks and the recommended spec pc to be 1500 and I didn't even pick the cheapest parts.

If there's any advantage it's because people are using 0.3ms input lag monitors on PC and he's using an old TV. All he needs to do is get the fastest 120hz monitor he can find and hook his PS5 to it.

The tournament standard is console still. The input lag difference between ps5 and PC for SF6 is miniscule, step your skills up Phil.
And couple frames at best of input lag means nothing when he can't react to drive impact to begin with. If he wasn't such a mashing pattern player running on autopilot, maybe he could watch for things like that and be ready. His combos aren't dropping due to input delay either, the timing isn't any different, and even if it were, it's still just muscle memory so all he needs to do is go to training for a minute to hammer it down. Modern SF has mad lenient combos, it's really not that hard.

Human reactions are like 15f IF you're expecting it, and this is assuming those 15f are visually something you can distinguish from rest of the movement, like a lot of forward dashes in SFV were 15f and most of that was no different from them just standing still or walking forward. DSP acts like he can react to 3f startup jabs and whatnot. He legit was rambling one stream how pro players can tech throws on reaction when they start up. Like, no. We still to this day watch grand final matches end in one guy getting throw looped to death in corner because it's meant to be unreactable.

Everyone deals with the same amount of delay anyway, so it hardly matters, if it's stupid fast af forward advancing move that's basically unreactable, it's so by design. If Guile chucks an EX boom from midscreen, it's fast af and I should've been taking babysteps blocking so I wouldn't eat it with my face if he does it, because from that range it's going to come out so fast I can't reasonably react to it and I should be anticipating it. One frame doesn't exactly matter there. DSP acts like it does.
