Well presented video. Very professional. I grew up in this area and used to take the train from Market Harborough to Kettering to go to school but that was probably before your parents were born! They certainly have done a good job at Kettering
First class travel, First class video,Great stuff. It would be amazing to see a steam service on this route, Kettering station is a real Victorian gem trolleys full of flowers in the spring,at both ends of the station,A real step back in time.
Great video, Rory. The amount of effort and careful editing is clear to me, with the external shots of trains on the viaduct greatly lifting the video to another level. May I make one small constructive suggestion? You gave us a shot of the station sign 'Corby' and then immediately you are arriving into a platform that is revealed a few moments later to be Kettering. Perhaps a short 'buffering' window travel shot would have helped those of us who don't know the stations. I am really enjoying watching your productions and you can be proud of the standard already achieved.
Worth to mention also: 1. All seats in 222 (17x and 158) will be replaced in EMR fleet soon 2. New 810 sets comming (next year) on MML route So, video need to be updated next year ;)
Bravo ragazzo! Start as you mean to go on. First Class and a diversionary route, what's not to like. Loved the details ~ obligatory viaduct brick count being my fave, whilst others will appreciate the loco Nos. Onwards and upwards lad, just need a few more seconds of footage of things like Oakham station to merit inclusion, but gd on ya for including nonetheless, if I may say so. Best bit this time is the nonchalant comment at 2:12. Brill!
@@RorysTravels Thanks, I meant it. You're not far off Jago H. levels of care and attention already. And he's had plenty of time to film and do retakes for his B ~ roll, so yours will come.
@@JP_TaVeryMuch Hi there, just wanted to let you know that your comment was lost on my community post but I did read it and wanted to say thank you for such kind words!
Always nice to watch your videos. love the commentary and video. Look forward to the next one
Thank you!!!
Excellent shots of Kettering station. A real plus to have both views from, and of the viaduct.
Thank you! It’s nice seeing the trains go over the viaduct, especially on a nice day!

Thank you very much much! I have to say Kettering is a really nice historic station.
Another watchable vlog Rory. A worthwhile upgrade to first class and good diversionary route. Keep them coming!👍

Thank you so much for the lovely comment! It’s a bit difficult trying to film out the window sometimes but I’m sure I’ll get more used to it!

Just curious, are the drinks and snacks included in the price of the first class ticket, or are they available for purchase only?
They are free as part of the first class fare.
Snacks, sandwiches non alcoholic drinks are included. Alcohol is available to purchas.
@@tonyhancock8479 Nice! Thanks! Eurostar, you get nothing extra in first class.
