- DJI FPV Drone Range test. Going the Distance.
Here in the mountains I normally get interference and break up pretty close by so I wanted to go out and try seeing how the signal would be without giant mountain peaks blocking the RC or goggle signal.

When you first took off and flew over the water, I got nervous -- then I remembered you have features on that DJI FPV drone that an average FPV quad doesn't have. Your first spotter seems like a cool guy 4:47
He was sorta useless as a spotter and a tool bag. Lol

Nice range testing, I didn't realize that what mode you were in determined how far you could fly. And you captured some awesome fall footage over the lake. Are the nights getting colder in Dillion now?

Hey, so which mode can you go farthest on a given percentage of battery? Not sure you gave a clear answer. Would really like to know.
Normal uses the battery much slower than the others. U get about the same distance in each but more air time in normal.
Sweet my guess was close I did this exact test a few months ago and I got the farthest In normal mode 11,000 feet
Normal for sure had the most battery left when returning to take off point. All got around 12,500 give or take before the RTH kicked in. One just did it much faster. It’s not getting near the time DJI said it would , even in normal sadly.

Rain helped a ton with the fire. I’m almost ready for the snow. The peaks just got some.
I have the problem that after 500-600 meters the Hd Signal gets weaker till i loose signal how can u get so far in manual ??

DJI FPV has many failsafes. See where u can pause and remove goggles. Pretty neat it can do that.

I don’t think your drone will connect if you take the battery off and try to fly after landing in a different marina like you said… have you tried? I don’t know but I would like to know!
I have not tried that far away but it does connect closer
@@SeanOzz if far away is possible, then you can have way points! Lol … when you say closer, 2 football fields away? I’ll have to try this myself one day to test it out! Wonder if I call dji, will they know the answer 🤔

What happens if you loose signal while in manual mode?
It auto stops and hovers and switches to normal.
@@SeanOzz So just to clarify... even if you're in manual mode the drone will automatically switch to normal mode and initiate RTH?
Not Rth unless you set that up.
@@SeanOzz wait... Now I'm not sure what will happen... Please explain what you mean by 'unless you set it up'? I want to know what happens when you're flying in manual mode and loose signal...
@@InfinityDrones you can set the behavior of the drone when losing signal: hover, landing, or RTH. I don't think the "flying mode" is somewhat relevant to that setting.

I would love to be able to earn more money in the future I buy a computer and a gopro 9 to walk and shoot a lot of movies to post to get more subscribers because now my TH-cam channel is lost, no one is watching I can't turn on making money too sad bro
it takes lots and lots of time and effort to grow one. i started in 2008, got serious in 2016 and been busting butt ever since and still have grown very slow.
use the cruise control function ;)
