Willy you need to get in better shape for elk. You wouldn't make it in my neck of the woods, we bace camp at 9500'. You think your breathing hard now. Great hunt, congratulations!!

Exactly!! Wouldn’t kill a spike bull on public land!! Hunting out of a side by side is NOT elk hunting. I would NEVER hunt with anyone wearing a neon green logo on a tee shirt and sunglasses. Talk about clueless
Completely agree, hunting anything on a game ranch is as boring as hunting cattle. Defeats the entire purpose of an elk hunt which is to connect with the wilderness and challenge yourself at a primal level.
Public land is completely different. There is no guide. Nothing. You have to hunt. That’s why it’s called hunting.
I hunt whitetail on private land but we don’t do high fence or nothing which makes it fun and I see your point
Last time I traveled west elk hunt my dad and I packed in to camp and he woke up the next morning with altitude sickness. So on opening day we had to break camp and hike out, getting that elk tag filled can be tough.
Rookie mistakes. Fortunately I grew up living in the Rockies. I spent most of my youth in high altitudes and still run an outfitter. I’ve seen so many people come unprepared and out of shape.
I do have horses,but a lot of places they can’t go. First time sheep hunters are the worst.
If they show up with new boots, I know what I’m in for. And I warn them to break them in and get in shape.
I had a 50 something guy show up to a hunt with sneakers and cheap leather boots once......

Man O Man that was an Awesome Bull! I shot a bull just a little smaller than that but still a nice bull. I had experienced something that was not expected on that HUNT. I was in a tree stand and seen the bull coming in on a trail that ran below the tree stand. Once the Bull walked under the stand I was in. I got excited and jumped off the stand and on to his back and honked his horns lol....🤗 beep, beep.
Congrats Willie on a Great Mule deer in Velvet and your first Elk on the 7th Heaven Ranch!! and of course the rest of the boys getting to fill their tags with great Bulls as well!
Jason Alean... at least Willie went elk hunting. You should be called the convenient buck Commander. Everyone up in the northwest knows you hate it here. The whole sweet tea bulshit. The other buck commanders actually hunt. Not just throw out feed and sit in a tree. That’s harvesting not hunting.

So how much meat was actually wasted off Willie's? The way they were dressed it was probaly at least 65-70 and laying out all day and night that meat definitely spoiled. Thats the problem with rich ppl trophy hunting.

Where is it elk season in the U.S.?

How do you get a Bull tag every year? I thought you had to draw for it. I know guys that hunt 20 years before they ever get a bull tag.
These are landowner tags that they sell... probably went for around 10k each
Most land owner elk tags in utah are 13,000-17,000 each. These are very unpressured elk on private property.
That’s what people who live up in the northwest call “whore states.” Who have landowners sell there tags out. Like Utah and Colorado. We don’t claim them
Land management tags are way less than no 15k !!!! Neatly given out to ranchers for the nuisance that elk are to their livestock & property... Ha

The moment you're more concerned about getting the kill shot vs making an ethical kill you should probably take a second and think through your priorities

@@bryce4278 dude how is that being a douche 😂 have you ever hunted before? Shooting an animal in the wrong spot which then allows it to be hurting for hours and hours isn't an ethical kill lol. Whatcha the other kills. The bull died very quickly and it was a clean ethical kill. There is a big difference
I'm still a big fan of the videos and I think they're good guys just sometimes their priorities seem to sway towards the side more focused on media than on being am ethical hunter.
