Some of the spec's mentioned don't tell the entire story. The high power consumption of the L-509x (150W at idle) is due to the fact it's has a higher Class A bias then the E-380 (46W at idle). The S/N ratio on the line inputs of the 509 is 105db, while the E-380 has an S/N ratio of 109db on the single ended inputs and 98db on the balanced inputs (which is a bit strange). The 509 is rated at 220W at 4ohm's and the E-380 at 180W at 4 ohms. Also the E-380 will need a phono card at ~$900USD while MC/MM phono inputs are built-in on the 509.

OK, this is an interesting entry
Wonderful as usual... Thank you. Perhaps more quantity and quality in pictures would be nice.
I loved this video 👍 Great comparison
thank you
Constructive feedback - your video effects, such as the components emerging from sliding screen is unnecessary and distracting.
Super
Do you have an opinion on which you would prefer between the Luxman 507z and the Accuphase E-4000. I Can't find much information on the E-4000
please wait my next video about this
What is the difference in sound quality between the two, connected to a very good pair of speakers?
dampingfactor to start with !
Very simple. Both of them are good. Accuphase with speakers, with the metal tweeters, Luxman with the speakers, with the silk/soft tweeters.
