I'm gettin a Stage 3 Boosted Texas Speed cam on my 5.7 with a Vortech Super Charger. Satera Tuning is installer and they do remote tunes and E85 conversion

Has anyone had a problem with the Rams cam gear/phaser being smaller than the cam snout ?? Doing a engine swap in the wife's Ram and I have the crank Phaser/wheel changed already now the cam is different?? I'm a mechanic have been for years ...thus is my 1st hemi build cam anyone help
Unfortunately the hemi doesn’t blurp the way an LS does. I’ll probably save this for last
Yes it does, you just need to spec the right cam. Texas Speed BFD cam has a nasty chop right off the shelf.
hemi heads flow a lot more so you have to be careful so you don't kill low rpm power.

You said get a stock converter? Why? Or should I get a lock up converter?
No you can use the stock converter for daily driving and racing, but the cam will really benefit from a performance converter

Yes tune is required to have a aftermarket cam work properly Id get with Jay Greene racing on Facebook or flying Ryan performance they got all the parts you need

Do you or anyone have any suggestions on a similar camshaft for a 2005 5.7L Hemi the pre Eagle I was told that the 6.4L camshaft won’t work in a pre eagle so I need to know what the equivalent 6.4L Cheap camshaft is for my 5.7 Hemi funds are tight so I need the cheapest camshaft with the power and not changing the torque converter for my 2005 RT Magnum Thanks for any advice and suggestions and tips and even parts that you might have for sale. Yes you will need a custom tune for any performance cam upgrade
any problem with comp cam kit yet. i heard valve springs break
No problems and valve springs don’t really break on 4gen rams

Only cam you don’t have to would be the stage 1 hrt from comp cams push rods are not required but recommended

hey bro should i use 5W-40 or 0W-40 oil on a 5.7 hemi grind camed?
5w30 should be good no need to do a drastic oil change

Did you have a low oil pressure issue after cam before tune?
Truck reads 23 at idle 45 driving and 68 gunning it
@@lethalracing5.7 I just did mfs delete on my 11 durango citadel with the 5.7 and put a non mfs 6.4 cam, lifers and upgraded springs. My issue is when I start it it idles for about a minute and pressure drops to zero. No ticking until the oil pressure goes to zero and sensor shuts fuel pump off. Ever have this issue?
