I bought a Honda Accord sport 2022. It has no wireless CarPlay. No remote start no keyless entry. You know what did have all of that my Kia Optima that was a 2015 !!! I downgraded 😂

I was fortunate enough on a recent road/train trip to be able to rent 2 Palisades. First one was some type of base trim. It was a great ride from Minnesota to Chicago. Second rental was nothing short of a dream. It was a Calligraphy trim (pretty sure it was a 2024 version) & I had that for two weeks. I drove her from Oakland Int’l, to Los Angeles, to Vegas & all the way back to MN. The only two “cons” were both with the Calligraphy trim. First con was there were sections of interstate where the traffic was directed into the oncoming/opposite side of the road. It kept beeping and flashing a “wrong way” alert to me. I would hope there is a way to turn that off but I didn’t bother even trying. Second negative is oddly on the way back to MN, about every 20 mins it kept flashing a picture of a coffee cup saying, “You should consider taking a break?” I’m talking even in the morning when I just started driving. 😂😂😂😂😂 Other than that the Palisade was an absolute dream and those issues I listed I’m sure could be turned off. For real, giving that rental back to the rental place was like breaking up with a girlfriend. 😭😭 Thanks for the review!! 🫡🫡

Sad to see a 2025 have outdated software when my 2024 Santa Fe has the latest software for this pricing. Hyundai builds a much nicer solution than most. Great video.
There are HUGE discounts out there. $5,000-$6,000 off MSRP. Shop around, get out of dense, low SE, urban areas and try dealers in middle income suburban areas.
So it’s a 2025 but “not much changed” is being mentioned, so what did they improve besides modify the trims levels? It’s better to get the 2024 for less.
did a test drive of the 2025 calligraphy and the front seats have an INSANE height adjustment. I raised the seat as high as it would go and i could swing my feet like I was on a swing. Im 5'8". Idk who that feature is for but maybe if youre 3'5' or something you dont have to install any boosters, thats for sure.
This is at the top of our list for a new suv as we are looking into many of them. We tested a standard calligraphy and in person they are nicer than what they are on camera. Considering we have a 2017 highlander limited, its a world of difference. Very premium suv for the money. However, I am not a fan of the seats on this calligraphy night.

Only reason I didn’t get night is because of the seats don’t want suede seats wish it would have come with Napa leather in the night edition but otherwise this is a nice vehicle
One thing to note, dealers over pressure the tires on these to 40 psi not factory 35 psi. That makes a difference in road noise. I also advise switching to Michelin Cross Climate 2s, they are quieter than the factory Hankook tires and very capable in snow.
I mean, for what is has, this thing is definitely worth it and reliability on this engine is not bad at all. You can get a 2022 calligraphy with about 60,000 for 41,000. Even used this thing is a great value.
Getting the facelift 23-25 may be the best option for now. I think it is expected for the new generation 2026 model to drop the V6 like everyone else has been doing.

@@RP-pj8bn No it’s not, all you need to do is to drive one and you’ll realize it’s probably the best engineered one in the class. Most spacious, a variety of tried and tested engines and impressive towing capacity. It’s one of the few mid sized SUVs that’s based on a proper rwd platform and that results in good driving dynamics, something that’s lacking in the likes of the palisade and most other SUVs in the class.
Yes you can drive with massage chair. You have 3 options. Pelvic massage(basically your butt) , then lumbar and finally both pelvic and lumbar. Its a great experience
Why is virtually every car company doing this cockpit thing where they make the center console height go all the way to the dash, with that functionally useless passthrough? We have it in one of our cars, and I am not a fan. And now it seems to be in everything! I don't get it, we don't have linkages and stuff anymore, that area doesn't even need to exist any longer. It could be a huge storage area that goes all the way to the floor. Like our Odyssey, it's fantastic. There's a giant bin up front on the floor, it's so unbelievably handy. And yet they've chosen to do the opposite. I...I don't get it.
My mom brought a 24' Calligraphy back in December of 23' and only has about 1800 miles on it. Everything still is in working condition and no issue at all.
I almost got it but my car insurance wants too much be cause this vehile is on the easy to steal list. It was 700 more per year that the other suvs I looked at.
I thinking they are waiting till the redesign to add them. For a while they had trouble making enough telluride and palisades. To meet the demand. So they were not really forced to add more stuff to the car. Power folding mirrors would really only affect people. That need to park in narrow single garages. Or other tight spaces. I am guessing the redesign might be 2026.
Just not that much different from our 2020, guess we will keep waiting on a full refresh. It's a great SUV but getting a little dated at this point IMHO.
Well at least it was under warranty. Some people are just lucky. I owned a 2014 Elantra and it hit 290k miles with no major issues. The only thing I’ve done was replace spark plugs and coils. Serviced the A/C. So it’s up and down. Sorry you didn’t have the best experience.
Yea, personally, I've always had good experiences with Hyundai Motor Group, that's why I keep coming back. 2014 Sorento, 2019 Sorento, 2020 Carnival, 2022 Tucson Hybrid. Never had any issues on any of them. So... I'm a believer!
I bought one on Saturday, 2024 calligraphy brand new. Got home straight from dealership, it broke down completely, dealer intentionally gave us the car with a bad battery hoping it would recharge on the way home. It was a nightmare dealing with the dealership, a lot of un successful attempts trying to get a response. they eventually agreed to refund the car, as this is in the 3 day return policy. They confirmed they cancelled purchasing agreement and destroyed the check, then today 2 days later, the bank contacted us saying they tried to cash the check, attaching a photo of the check. When we asked dealer why they cashed the check, to give them benefit of doubt, we got no response. A negative review on google is what prompted them to respond, they also asked us to remove review. At this point I have more of an issue with the dealership than the car. Also the GM never once apologized, a very nasty person he is.
You cancelled your purchase for a dead battery? Why wouldn’t you just have them fix the battery? Regardless, your issue is with the dealer not the vehicle. Not sure the purpose of your post.

With the issues you guys had with the Santa Fe transmission also the news of paint peeling off some of the older models only to be told by Hyundai sorry it’s out of warranty there is no way I would buy any Hyundai!
Same here. Sitting here with offers in hand for both (Elite BE & Calig). I'm not a fan of the front grill on the Hyundai, but the features vs the Pilot is what makes me 2nd guess. People will say reliability with Honda, but they have had issues lately and don't seem to be the Honda we grew up with. Tough call.
I just cross shopped this against Pilot, Telluride, Explorer, Grand Cherokee, Highlander, and Pathfinder. Hardly dated. Only thing likely coming in next refresh is unified infotainment. This car is luxurious compared to all the others I noted.
Engineering background hwre. I have one friend who has the luxury dealership and I get a test drive of new luxury car every month and write a report I actually rented this out for a week and it was very nice SUV ‘s but there one major problem. The problem with Hyundai or Kia. The resale is terrible. Unless you plan on keeping this SUV for the duration of it’s life, i do not recommend one. Either that or the luxury arm the Gmeetis
Don’t know what you mean about these being all over the road. I live in a more populated area of NY and rarely see these. Also no digital rear view mirror, massaging passenger seat, and bad materials… along with Hyundai bad reputation….no thanks. I’ll take an Infiniti QX60 or MDX before this.
My NE has seat massage and digital mirror. Interesting you want to pay at 10k more for the same features. Infiniti quality known to be bad. Sales are dying.
Hopefully this Hyundai won't need to be flatbed to the dealership after 24 miles like your Sante Fe. Seriously, Hyundais and Kias are very cool looking pieces of 💩. Ask any mechanic.

Seats actually alcantera which is a bit different from suede. Used in high end sports cars. Very comfortable. Not hot. Not cold.
I had a 2021 Palisade upgraded to a 2024 Palisade and this is the same vehicle. I would suggest wait on the refresh or buy used

sooo sooo glad they are keeping the V6, the day they change to a 4 cylinder is the day the palisade is dead.

What about engine failures & trans problems?
Out of all the Hyundai engines/ transmissions, it ranks pretty high in the Hyundai lineup.

Interior looks incredibly dated. Probably should have refreshed this year.
I just cross shopped this against Pilot, Telluride, Explorer, Grand Cherokee, Highlander, and Pathfinder. Hardly dated. Only thing likely coming in next refresh is unified infotainment. This car is luxurious compared to all the others I noted.
Engineering background hwre. I have one friend who has the luxury dealership and I get a test drive of new luxury car every month and write a report I actually rented this out for a week and it was very nice SUV ‘s but there one major problem.
The problem with Hyundai or Kia. The resale is terrible. Unless you plan on keeping this SUV for the duration of it’s life, i do not recommend one. Either that or the luxury arm the Gmeetis

Don’t know what you mean about these being all over the road. I live in a more populated area of NY and rarely see these. Also no digital rear view mirror, massaging passenger seat, and bad materials… along with Hyundai bad reputation….no thanks. I’ll take an Infiniti QX60 or MDX before this.

My NE has seat massage and digital mirror. Interesting you want to pay at 10k more for the same features. Infiniti quality known to be bad. Sales are dying.
Next year we should have a Hybrid Palisade with the same powertrain as the Carnival.
I think it's the 2.5T paired with the hybrid.
