As for the "proper order", you did it EXACTLY RIGHT. The first-time newbie should always watch the films in the order they were released to get the same experience the rest of us did when we had no choice but to wait 3 years for the next movie to be released. The reason is because of the plot twist reveals, and getting familiarized with the characters and things pertaining to the SWU (Star Wars Universe), like the Force, Jedis, Sith, etc. After you finish Episode III, find a fan-made clip called "SC-38 (Scene 38) Reimagined" - it's the lightsaber duel for the first movie (Episode IV) between Vader and Kenobi on the Death Star - it has been expanded through modern tech and made int oa much more intense conflict. Biggs and Wedge are also present in the earlier Final Fantasy games. In FF4, they were Red Wings soldiers who accompanied Cecil at the beginning of the game. In FF6, Biggs (erroneously named Vicks) and Wedge were two Imperial soldiers assigned to take Terra Branford to retrieve an esper in the game's intro. In FF7 and the FF7 Remake, Biggs and Wedge, along with Jessie, are members of the eco-terrorist group Avalanche, which Cloud, Barret, and Tifa are also members of.

hey there I love watching it in release order since I was born in the 80's so I grew up with star wars episode 4,5 and 6. where are you and your wife from because you two sound Irish or Scottish
Speaking of Buzz Lightyear and the Star Wars franchise, George had tried to sell Star Wars to Universal Studios and The Walt Disney Company. Both companies turned him down. That is fairly obvious, since no Disney or Universal Studios logos are shown before the movie. I just think Disney turning the movie down in the early to mid 70’s is a pretty wild story considering their purchase of the franchise decades later.
After 456/123 I highly recommend Rogue One (prequel to a new hope ep4) it’s phenomenal Avoid 7,8,9 There are also FANTASTIC shows like Andor and The Mandalorian
So many things happened in the 70-90's! Release order, as it was made. Lots of CGI added 20 or so years later, you can tell which ones. so 1977, 80, 83, then 99, 2001, 2003 (Should be correct). Remember R5-D4 (red droid) R2-D2 - Kenny Baker. This movie changed how movie are made. John Williams composed for Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, many more blockbusters.
Imperial gunners are on a point system. Shooting something that doesn't lead to a kill would would lower their Shots/Kill ratio is why they didn't shoot the escape pod.
They never shot them. They snuck up behind them and used the Vulcan neck pinch. Everyone knows stormtrooper armour is almost as bad as their blaster accuracy.
When R2-D2 and C-3PO walk across the corridor while the storm troopers are shooting, everyone assumes the storm troopers couldn’t hit anything. When in actuality, there’s such good shots, they were aiming at the people with the guns and not the droids.. see that makes sense to me, but everyone always assumes that they’re terrible shots even when later on in the movie, Obi-Wan Kenobi talks about how precise the blasts were on the jaw crawler and only storm troopers could be that precise.
Ya then in the rest of the movies the Storm Troopers couldn't hit anything if they were standing 4 feet away from it. Now the reasoning I've heard is that the Empire, while prolific, was also cheap. Cheap, mass produced weapons that were inaccurate or prone to malfunction and substandard training relying more on fear and multitudinous forces doing the work rather than expertise and superior technology. Looking at it now it is eerily similar to Russia's strategy in Ukraine.
yeah there's a few scene's I think in Iron Man that pay homage... when the random 10 rings guy finds the very first suit helmet in the sand... I can almost here him say "Look Sir, Droids"
@ eh minions aren’t direct copies of Jawas by any means. I’m fine with people taking inspiration from past work as long as they’re adding fresh new ideas as well. I’d dare to say there doesn’t exist a single movie that didn’t take ANY inspiration from something prior.
@@donaldjz Dude. Every story is inspired by something before it. Doesn't matter if it is Star Wars or King Lear all of them can be traced to stories before them and those stories would have been adapted from stories heard before that back to the beginning of time.
Yes, Star Wars is the story of R2D2. He meets a Sassy Bear, and they try to overthrow Princess Vader. Luke (a minor side character) plays around with a glow stick while R2D2 does all the work.

"Sassy bear" is a hilarious nickname.
I love Suzy sharing her love of Artoo. The same thing happened to me when I first saw it in 1977
Im a few days late but its great to new people in my generation getting into star wars!! Cant wait for the prequels, dreading the sequels😂😂 have fun guys !
I LOVED episodes 7 & 9. Will happily ban anyone who gives me shiii for it. 😅 - Suz
7 was good ill give you that 😂😂 I'm just here for the ride 🎉
7 was a remake of 4. Was shaking my head throughout
@@silkscrim I agree
Kenny Baker hated playing R2-D2 so much he swore all the time and they had to bleep out all of his dialogue.
Now that is funny.😅
35:35 Actually Stormtroopers are incredibly precise. They absolutely slaughter the Rebels with minimal casualties at the beginning of the movie. During the Death Star escape they were ordered to let the heroes go, which is why they miss.
13:16 Trust me, you do NOT want to push Darth Vader's buttons. XD
Yes Han was trying to wind up Luke, but he said that because that IS what he thought - that a guy like him didn't have a chance with Leia
Glad you're finally seeing this, Suzy. I've been a Star Wars fan since I was a kid, in the 80's; and it always brings a smile to face to see someone experience Star Was for the first time.
The order you are doing is great. Always release order. Always: 🙂
In FF7 and the FF7 Remake, Biggs and Wedge, along with Jessie, are members of the eco-terrorist group Avalanche, which Cloud, Barret, and Tifa are also members of.
a fun fact, most actors in star wars are from the UK, in this movie, Alec Guinness (Obi Wan Kenobi), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO)
admiral from the death star (Peter Cushing), R2-D2 (Kenny Baker), Darth Vader (David Prowse=body builder in clockwork orange) voice=James Earl Jones, and later on in the series, Christopher Lee, Ian McDiarmid, Ewan McGregor
another fun fact, Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing are best known for their role Dracula and Von Helsing in the British Hammer Horror movies, i always watched the double bill horror movies on BBC, i .... my pants 🤣
i have the same VHS special addition and i think of vasoline on the camera everytime i see one of the speeders
I thought his Aunt and Uncle would let him LIVE HIS LIFE 19 years through his life.
“Don’t get cocky!!” Han Solo might be a narcissist. 😂
Forgot to mention : in SW battlefront (PS2) you can pick the death star from episode 4 as one of the levels-- the detail was awesome.
Welcome to Star Wars universe. I hope you enjoy the journey. As a lifetime Star Wars fan, ı am sure that you will feel bound to many characters. Cheers ❤
Welcome to the SW universe! It's not hard to recreate the scene at 20:01-- I did it once. You will need the stormtrooper figures, the dewbacks, sand and an escape pod and lastly a blue white background for the sky; as Vader would say most impressive
R2-D2 can deploy defenses from his droid “body “ and also propel weapons from his topmost point.
Well dammit Suzy… now I'll never not be able to think of Chewbacca as anything other than "Sassy Bear"!!
Seriously, though, nice work Steejo introducing Suzy to this amazing universe!
I pray to god i never end up sitting behind you 2 in a cinema.
ok now watch the rest. LOL. Have fun learning about SW. I would say watch 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, Rogue One then decide if you want to watch the rest.
hey there I love watching it in release order since I was born in the 80's so I grew up with star wars episode 4,5 and 6. where are you and your wife from because you two sound Irish or Scottish
After 456/123 I highly recommend Rogue One (prequel to a new hope ep4) it’s phenomenal
Avoid 7,8,9
There are also FANTASTIC shows like Andor and The Mandalorian
I LOVED 7 and 9. Don't tell people what to watch, let them decide themselves. - suz
The Force is based on Psionic Powers. The term Jedi comes from the U.S. Army. It is what they call Soldiers in Psi Ops
1:17:34 The best analogy I have ever heard. 😂
So many things happened in the 70-90's! Release order, as it was made. Lots of CGI added 20 or so years later, you can tell which ones. so 1977, 80, 83, then 99, 2001, 2003 (Should be correct).
Remember R5-D4 (red droid)
R2-D2 - Kenny Baker.
"Negative, negative it didn't go in. It just impacted on the surface." Story of my life 🙃 😪
Stay on target!
Use the force!
Not everything is a "community". We need to stop saying that.
When Han and Luke changed into the stormtrooper uniforms, Where did they shoot the stormtroopers so that there were no burn marks on the armor?
They never shot them. They snuck up behind them and used the Vulcan neck pinch. Everyone knows stormtrooper armour is almost as bad as their blaster accuracy.
did they shoot them?
Looking at it now it is eerily similar to Russia's strategy in Ukraine.
the stormtroopers were ordered to let them go so they could be tracked that is why they missed
Yes. Technically, that pilot’s name is “Jek Porkins.”
The man who played Wedge, Denis Lawson, is Ewan McGregor’s uncle.
yeah there's a few scene's I think in Iron Man that pay homage... when the random 10 rings guy finds the very first suit helmet in the sand... I can almost here him say "Look Sir, Droids"
Actually , the first person to say the name Han Solo is the man himself, when we first see him.
hope you do Rogue One as well.
22:00 the minions were actually in part inspired by these Jawas. So it’s actually that minions sound like Jawas rather than vice versa. :)
Because there is no originality left in krappywood
@ eh minions aren’t direct copies of Jawas by any means. I’m fine with people taking inspiration from past work as long as they’re adding fresh new ideas as well. I’d dare to say there doesn’t exist a single movie that didn’t take ANY inspiration from something prior.
@@donaldjz Dude. Every story is inspired by something before it. Doesn't matter if it is Star Wars or King Lear all of them can be traced to stories before them and those stories would have been adapted from stories heard before that back to the beginning of time.
John Williams wrote the music to both STAR WARS and JURASSIC PARK.
1:14:31 the shafts the actors used for the lightsaber fight where made of glass. During shoots, they where carefull with the swings
Yes, Star Wars is the story of R2D2. He meets a Sassy Bear, and they try to overthrow Princess Vader.
Luke (a minor side character) plays around with a glow stick while R2D2 does all the work.
I always get a warm feeling when someone who's never seen Star Wars before gets recruited and enjoys the experience. I bet Steejo had to use a lot of will power not to accidentally give anything away. I saw those looks he was giving the camera!
Earth is in star wars in the comics because in one of them Indiana Jones finds the millennium falcon in the jungles with the remains of Han and chewy in it
Darth Vader blew my mind sitting in the backseat of a Pinto at the drive in.
Episode V is one of the best Star Wars movies, usually in the Top 3. You're gonna love it.
Nope, no convincing needed -- I absolutely believe this girl hasn't seen the original Star Wars yet. What I don't believe is that she has any interest in seeing it here. This is her job now, so she's doing it for money. Because of course she is. In eight seconds you can tell this girl can name every last Kardashian, and not a single PM in her own government. We get what we deserve on TH-cam.
15:05 princess Vader, yep. 💯
Enjoyable reaction! You guys should react to Rogue One.
Yes Star Wars I am hyped for this series also with Suzys love R2 I would love see her introduced to certain other rebel droid :D
No spoilers here, but I'm with Suzy on this one, IMHO, R2-D2 is the GOAT MVP for Eps 1-6
Jawas actually spoke, think it was Zulu and then they pitched it up in speed.
