- Do stuff yourself!! Having pets and living in a desert means that my couch gets absolutely filthy. I finally attempted to deep clean it using a Vax steam mop and its handheld attachment. It didn't turn out quite as good as I expected, so stand by for round 2 in the next few weeks!

I bought some lint free rags to use instead of that cloth cover they give you. Just use some rubber bands to secure them around the tool head.

We received this in the mail today! The packaging was fine, no damage during shipping thank goodness! The construction was very simple th-cam.com/users/postUgkxXH3jIpsn6vpr3D26KWAriUejh7CSxVp7 , the bottom rocking part and the ottoman were already put together for us which is nice!As for the actual quality, the wood seems fine.. Not too cheap but maybe not the quality you would find in a store for 400$. However, it is still sturdy and feels secure. I've only had it for one night, so of course no squeaking yet.. But if it does squeak it could be easily oiled. The cushions are comfy, and made of a suede like material. Obviously with time these cushions will probably wear and tear.. But for the price of the chair it is still worth it just to go out and buy new cushions that fit in the future.Overall I am very satisfied, I was a little worried after reading some reviews and looking through the photos, but I'm happy I bought it! Obviously it's not a heavy-duty chair, but with care I'm hoping it will last a while.

Hydrogen peroxide and warm water and maybe a little baking soda and let it sit overnight! That will be the cleanest you’ll get it. I’ve tried everything! I’m open to any suggestions of course!

Give it a good dry vaccuum before doing this, that’ll remove 80% of the dirt. The steam will then remove the body oils, spills, and remainder of dirt. You’ll get a better overall clean and your cloth won’t load up as much
I can't quite remember if i did this, but I most likely did. The problem is this sofa is in the red desert where there is so much iron ore in the sand outside, it gets everywhere !

Does all the dirt drip into the sofa?
I'm curious, did this remove any dog odours from the cushion? I'm wondering if I should try this for the foam insert (removable) or if I should buy some replacement foam.
I'd suggest spraying it down with a bottle of mostly water and a small amount of spot cleaner before steaming. It should help with the smell. Using several white cloths instead of the cloth attachment is good to see the soil. Seeing it and being able to rotate to another side of your cloth so you don't just spread dirt around.
Ricky I have dogs too. Take the foam out, take it outside in the sun and work baking soda into it. Walk away for an hour. Then you can shake it out. Even better if you can hang it up to blow in the air for a bit. Take it down and you can leave it as is, spray with febreeze or water with a few drops of essential oil. When I put foam back into cover I throw a gain dryer sheet in there too. This is what I do for dog beds and couch cushions

That’s what the cloth is for it sticks to that.
I feel of it doesn't have suction power then it's useless. It's just making it wet and the dirt stays there

Suction is better, but this is still good. Steam lifts the dirt and breaks it loose. You can mop up with a rag immediately in place of a vac and you’ll get it really clean
If you combine this with a spot cleaner I’m sure it would be even better

I've got an old rocking chair with mold and hair want to use it for the baby room. What can you recommend anything or not bother?
You can't get rid of mold. Throw it out and especially do not use in baby room
Is this a fabric covered rocking chair? I would say the mould is probably deeply ingrained in the fabric - especially if the fabric is organic matter like cotton based. I wouldn't risk it because some moulds can be incredibly nasty. If you insist, as a last resort i would bleach the heck out of it, then cover it with a new fabric cover...

Yes all the marks went away, they were just steam marks

I'm really disappointed, my husband bought me a steam mop a few years ago but I only used it once. I was thinking to clean alittle couch I have but it never came with any brushes 4 the couch like u have at all.
And it's a Vax steam mop aswell.
Ps. Why not add the Vax soap to the water chamber. Instead of just steam cleaner with the water
