    Nice review.
    One thing to add the photonis EBI is measure differently than Harris(elbeit) and L3.
    The EBI of .15 and .16 is actually 1.5 and 1.6. These are still good numbers it’s just something to note.
    Typically on specs you want halo and EBI was to be as low as possible

      Yep, the EBI is a little high but the Gain on these Echos is super good. They should be pretty good performers.

      @@wherenowhow6037 how would Echos compare to run of the mill OMNI 4s? I have some low hour MX10160As and was wondering if it was worth upgrading or just running these?

    • @wherenowhow6037
      @wherenowhow6037 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@poolee77 That is a tough one. A high spec Echo would perform better than a low spec Omni 4 and vice versa. A high spec Omni 4 would perform better than a low spec Omni 4. If you want to change colors to WP and are in reasonably high ambient lighting conditions the Echo's might be worth the switch.

    Nice pair of tubes. I’m thinking about a set of RNVG for my next set but I got used to the articulation with my bridged 14s and don’t know if I can do without.

    The caps with the holes are legit. I keep mine on at all times. Keeps things in focus in the foreground so you don’t have to focus back and forth. It’s legit for driving under nods, breaching, etc. legit 🤙🏼

    Shopping RNVG right now. Seems like the best housing if you want to get the best tubes without spending 10k or even more at the moment. Seeing right around 8k for L3 white filmless...although elbit thin filmed is real tempting for quite a lot less

    • @gunsnmammons
      @gunsnmammons  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly the Elbit offerings are pretty cool for their price. Although if I could do it all again I would save up the extra for the L3 filmless. Those tubes are amazing.

      If the sound you're hearing is low in post-production, then you either had your computer/headset volume too low and was trying to boost it, to hear it, while editing.

    Right now this stuff is getting scarce and more expensive. A few years back it seemed like you could get white 15s for like 9999. Now that's like 11500. Some of these high spec units with good articulating housings are approaching PVS31 money (if you could buy them lol)

  • @jerdman10carter
    @jerdman10carter 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey man! I just ordered RNVG's from Night Vision Inc. as well. When you received the unit, did it come with a user guide of some sort that describes how to care for/store the RNVG housing/tubes? Also, did it only come with the pin hole covers instead of covers for all 4 lenses?

    • @poolee77
      @poolee77 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Biggest thing is just not exposing the tubes to excessive light.

    • @gunsnmammons
      @gunsnmammons  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes the only covers are for the objective lenses as they are the only ones that are light sensitive. Really just as SemperFiMac77 said, just don't expose them to light and don't store them with the batteries in for long times and you should be fine.

    • @gunsnmammons
