I was about to make a video discussing the same thing but ya beat me to it! However, you’re way more qualified and explain it way better than I could have. 🤘🏼
I move sentinels out of vision without stowing them upward. I adjust the height using the Wilcox mount at its highest setting which is right over my eyes, and out of my eyesight.
Sweet vid as always. Let me know if you want to take a look at BNVD-UL when your back up in Central FL (I work for Ares). I just got a set with L3 White Phos tubes and i recall in your comparison you mentioned you didn't have a lot of hands on with them. Keep up the good content homey, hope to get in your nods drill day soon.
I’ve seen pics of guys running them stowed down and pushing their G24s up so they can work with their NODs always ready , if you know what I’m talking about would you recommend it?
I've seen it done and tried it myself when I was still getting issued this equipment. It works but is straining on the eyes and neck. I personally don't like to use them that way.
Jon I have a question I'm getting ready to purchase 1431s for a local Wilderness SAR team that uses night vision (we have to buy our own kit ) would I be better off with articulating mount because we have to be able to do patient care and the like and I don't want my 6 thousand dollar NVGs getting ripped off in the woods by branches or a scared patient, what did the Ranger Batt medics do when you guys were in country in terms of keeping their nods on their helmets when a patient was combative? Any knowledge would be appreciated
So the housing isn't what you need to worry about in this circumstance. What do you want to make sure you have is a breakaway system on the mount. The Wilcox G24 has a breakaway. You still want to use a lanyard device similar to the one I'm developing to hold on to your night vision if it is broken away by hitting a branch or a combative patient.
I think this is the first video I've seen in years that had 0 dislikes with thousands of views. Great video

I'm sure you could explain it just as well man
First time I have heard of consideration of dew. Nice and detailed on the little things that can make a difference. Great video.
The truth is there's absolutely no reason they need to be this expensive just to add some metal hinges.

I’d definitely recommend getting a Wilcox L4G24 to replace that Norotos mount. Will get it even closer to you and lower down!
Lol I have 3 of them man
@@KineticConsulting oh haha nice. Then do you prefer another mount to the G24?
@@Tully-Henderson I actually prefer the G22 but they all do the job
👍
I’m curious about the x300 mount. Like that you can pivot the light up a room from the ceiling.
It's from echo arms. Awesome inexpensive piece of gear
The bridge on the RNVGs seems much more robust, I would be afraid of getting the DTNVS and the plastic articulation pieces breaking. Nice video.
Great video, NVG are very personal, former LEO I just like training and having fun.

At this rate when i can afford NODs they are going to be digital color vision.
How’s that looking? Sionyx auras is it in digital color.
John, I was thinking about ordering lunch. What should I eat? 🤔
Are there any good more affordable articulating duels (6-8k instead of 10-13k)?
Depends on the tubes you want. There are 8k dtnvs. Call up tnvc and tell them what your budget is and they can get you squared away.

That’s what I like to do. I also run a Mohawk from tnvc with counter weights. The sentinels are heavy.
Help me I'm poor.
This comment is 2 years old and exactly how long it took me to save for my pvs14 lol a 14 while not duals is still pretty amazing.

I wish my eyes were always the same distance to yours as those NOds were. Lol
I'm not sure what you're saying
@@KineticConsulting I want to get lost in your eyes. I was barely awake at the time. LOL
