I'll always be very impressed by a live performance, Lizzie.
This one is a perfect example of talent on display LIVE.

You need to listen to Bobby singing Summertime. Phenomenal! Also My Prayer, I love you For Sentimental Reasons, I Believe and Stay with Me. All Bobby. Then both...their first hit Little Latin Lupe Lu, Justine, Koko Joe, and My Babe on Shindig! Rock and Roll Heaven (1974 video) and Dream On.

You're absolutely right Lizzie, The Righteous Brothers don't play!! Another song you'll love by them that's very inspirational is I Believe which was released in 66. Have a blessed day Lizz!🙏

They were simply the best of all time and I don't know if we'll ever see a duo like this again. That's why these channels are so important. Thank you for keeping their legacy alive.

THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS NEVER DISAPPOINT! Two of the greatest singers in music history. I know you would dig Just once in my Life similar to Loving Feeling. Keep up the good work

I have grown up with these songs my family is football mad and this is a football favourite, these two singers are exceptionally talented both have a unique voice, when your team has won and you have had a few drinks you will find yourself singing to this every time.

These guys will never disappoint you. I was in high school when they came out in 1964. I watched them perform this beautiful song on the Ed Sullivan show. I have all of their vinyl record albums in my collection. RIP Bobby! ❤️

You’re beautiful and your reactions are always perfect. You could tell by your eyes if you like it or you don’t I don’t know why but I love the 60s and 70s music more than anything. Please keep it up.

They came on the scene when I was in high school during the same few years that the Beatles, The Stones, Dylan, 'Motown' and many others hit the big time, it was magical.

In how the Righteous Brothers said they got their name..... This song fits for someone saying... "That was Righteous Brothers. I first posted this before the song completed and Lizzie said the same thing.... Lizzie having the most soothing calm voice on TH-cam...

I love your take on this performance. I haven't heard this song by them in such a long time. I used to have, I think, all their albums. They were a talent extraordinaire. As far as I know, Bill is still performing today with another partner, although I think he soloed for awhile after Bobby died.

Originally this song was in and written for the musical Carousel. Try their early hit Little Latin Lupe Lu on a teen show with the dancers...it's a riot to see how they danced back then.

I hope you react to You'll Never Walk Alone by Gerry and the Pacemakers....60's... They played in pubs about the same time as The Beatles

  • @brianpowell6058

For comparison I think you could listen to the same song but, by British band Gerry and the Pacemakers. They were contemporaries of The Beatles.
I don't know if you've ever heard of Cilla Black but, she was a great friend to all the bands that played in Liverpool in the late 1950's and early 1960's. She had the same manager as The Beatles. I thought you might like to hear three of her tracks, "Anyone Who Had A Heart." "You're My World." and "Step Inside Love."
There's also a Don Williams track to listen to. "Tears Of The Lonely."

One of the singers Elvis lived to hear as a young man was Roy Hamilton. Hamilton had a hit with this as well as Unchained Melody ten years earlier in 1955. Roy was a black artist with an operatic voice and was one of the first black artists to top the pop charts.

THE VERSION of this song is by Patty Labelle and the Bluebelles. The live performance in a theatre in Brooklyn in 1965 (black and white video) is the greatest live performance I have ever seen.

If you want to go back to the beginning, try I Need A Girl from Bobby Hatfield, along with Bill, before they chose their duo name Righteous Brothers, from 1962,

I love that you let the song play right through. I don't mind reactors stopping once or twice, but some of your fellow reactors stop way too much and it ruins the song. just found you channel. Like Arnold, I'll be back.

Absolutely did not O D. No one does from a trace amount of anything, and it was NEVER called that by the Medical Examiner.
He was in very serious need of bypass surgery. The ME told Bill without surgery he couldn't see him surviving the month.
He never got to do that show; he died in his sleep the night before.

Time to react to the top selling musicians of all time, the Beatles. But watch out for copyright issues. Pause during the songs for comments. Don't play them straight through. They were John Lennon (Imagine), Paul McCartney (Let It Be), George Harrison (Here Comes The Sun) and Ringo Starr.
