What a concept, wow in the 60's they would have said something like, " that was really far out man"... yes, to get on stage and actually have real talent. Cool dude... oh Allen to ur comment I say pppptttt. How cliche is that , oh great searcher..
After 4 decades of "gangsta rap", I am glad to see young people, of this generation, finally "discovering" artists like the Righteous Brothers. This was a time, not all that long ago, when singers, like Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield, could actually sing, without any "gimmicks" or "enhancements". They relied on one thing, and one thing alone, which was "talent". No "booty shaking", suggestive lyrics, or foul language were needed. The Righteous Brothers' smooth, melodic vocals, blended perfectly with Phil Specter's, "wall of sound". These factors culminated in an awesome musical style, which literally grabbed you by your heart. This resulted in a dynamic fusion of gospel and rhythm & blues, which we called "Blue Eyed Soul".
"The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Greatest Male Vocal Duet Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on an 73 key piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary. “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin” was the most played song on radio in the 20th Century. "Unchained Melody" - Bobby Hatfield Live 1965. Considered by most as The Greatest Live Male Vocal Performance In History... I agree. Bobby's use of "Runs" is brilliant. He is the master of the technique and started the trend. 7 notes just to say the word "I".... Their name came when they did a show in a smaller venue and a black man told them…. You two Brothers are Righteous. They created the sound and set the table that all Soul Music fed from for decades to come. In 1983, in Newport Beach O.C. Calif. Bill and Bobby at the Jolly Roger Restaurant . I was 13 feet away for... "Unchained Melody"- "You've Lost That Lovin’ Feelin‘" - "Soul And Inspiration".... They were perfect, awesome, amazing, incredible......

The most played song of the 20th Century. They made such great music. No autotune. Try Soul and Inspiration by the Righteous Brothers. Sadly Bobby Hatfield left us in 2003. The greatest duo of all time. So glad you like it
Both the top two songs of soul and heart inspiration and Unchained Melody we're on musically arranged by Phil Spector in the wall of sound that's what he's known for he made all the hits making singers of the late 50s 60s and early seventies and he did a good job at it as you know he's got these two songs by The Righteous Brothers playing on and on for generations and generations so can't put down a good song kind of keep on playing it
The way they harmonize and the fact their voices perfectly complement each other is on another level...u needed talent back then, just a voice and a mic...no auto-tune etc etc

The beauty of the lyrics, they were poems, the instrumental performance, strings, tambourines, some bongos in the background and the incomparable voices of these two artists, made this timeless masterpiece, not much technology, like nowadays, explore the 60 ‘s and 70’s as a source of music treasures
Another wonderful reaction! It seems that these guys' singing appeals to women in every generation. It was a pleasure seeing you discover this song for the first time. Love your reactions! Here's to your next one! 🙏🙂❤
That song is or was the most played song EVER. The Righteous Brothers were part of the most amazing musical explosion (era) in the history of the world.
If you cannot understand the music today, that's your failing. It's perfectly understandable to 99% of Americans. Or maybe you're listening to a foreign station.

No flash, just heart and soul. That's why this song still blows people away more than 50 years after it was recorded. A true classic. Thanks for posting it.
Hey Lizzie, The Righteous Brothers hit you with their "Thunder (Bill Medley: Baritone Voice) and Lightning (Bobby Hatfield: High Tenor Voice) & they go perfectly together like "Peanut Butter & Jelly," "Mac & Cheese," "Burgers & Fries," "Rice & Beans," "Shrimp & Grits," "Biscuits & Gravy," etc. You get the picture...These guys brought the HEAT, SOUL & FIRE!!! Loved your reaction too!!!
Saw Bobby Hatfield at the old Academy of Music on 14th St in NYC. The show was billed as the “Righteous Brothers” but Bill Medley wasn’t there, when Bobby came out the crowd booed but Bobby was cool, he explained he didn’t mislead the crowd the venue did. Then he proceeded to blow the roof off the place with his voice. Many believe Medley’s voice was more powerful, Bobby was just as powerful and he had more range. Bobby sang all of their songs singing both his and Bill’s parts. The crowd gave him long standing ovations and he came out for 2 encores. No auto tune back then, just pure talent! BTW, you are a gorgeous woman!
I love watching these songs. I remember watching my Mom and Dad dancing to this song and they even use to dance in the grocery stores when this song would come on in the stores. People use to watch thrm dance til it was done. I miss them so much. Dad passed in 2007 and Mom in 2014...
Way back from a tv show appearance in 1965. I was 9 yrs. old. This is still an R&B classic today and will always be. These guys aren't Brothers by Blood, as some think, but their name came from some Black artists that heard them performing in a small venue, and said "Hey, you guys are "Righteous!" meaning cool or soulful. That name stuck. Bill Medley (Deep voice) and Bobby Hatfield (Handsome Blonde guy) started the term "Blue eyed soul." It referred to white Bands or artists that sang, and sounded like the Black performers that sang R&B. These guys were huge in the mid 60s through the 70s. They are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Great singers.
This is some serious "Old School." I was just a Pup when this came out. haha. I really enjoyed your reaction. You appreciate what the artists are trying to do, and your delivery of your reaction is just like melting butter. So smooth, and sexy at the same time. Thank you again.

LIZZY , LIZZY , you kill me yesterday , and today again! Your eyes ! Wooowww , AMAZING and so beautiful. I THINK you are a princess. And thanks again , for your wonderful react , to this video.
Lizzie the G., I know this song quite well, but nonetheless it was wonderful to watch your face replete with your undisguised emotions as beautiful as they could be on a beautiful woman that you are. For the guys, its heartening to see that a great song 'gets-through' to someone in the way that it is meant to. It can boost a person's morale. God bless you and all your posted video efforts.
I remember hearing this song when it first came out on WABC radio in Brooklyn NY. Instantly loved it and the violins got me hooked. Thank you for your reaction.
Bill Medley has done songs for other movies, like Dirty Dancing and Major League. Watch those two movies and Top Gun. All good movies with great sound tracks.
Wow, I loved your reaction to this great song. I kinda grew up with these great songs. Glad to know people of all ages still appreciate these early songs. Oh and you're cute especially when you're getting into the groove. I just subscribed.
You will rarely find people with a voice like the Righteous Brothers. And remember this was back before auto tune and sound effects. They are true singers
It was just a great time to listen to music. So many good groups. These two were right at the top We got to taking it all for granted back then. Crazy, sad, fun, good times. Thanks for the play.
Bill has such a great deep voice. Unreal it's so good. These are the two best. Loved your great reaction. I liked your description of thier voices. I think you are awesome.
I loved the Righteous brothers my whole life, Bobby Hatfield tenor n Bill Medley baritone/bass Bobby died n Bill is still singing. React to some Elvis songs especially Suspicious Minds Vagus 1970, AMERICAN TRILOGY ALOHA CONCERT 1973 was broadcasted around the world and seen by 1.5 Billion people I was there 3rd row center n could not take my eyes off of him. He sang around 700 songs in his short lifetime. He sang RNR, country, blues n Gospel ( he got 3 Grammy awards for his gospel songs. Also react to Elvis " Just Pretend Vagus 1970, The Wonder Of You Vagus 1970, How Great Thou Art gospel song i think it was 1974 n he was wearing a blue suit i love your reaction to the Righteous brothers song.

They were such a wonderful duo. It is not hard to imagine they started out using their names. They picked up the name of the 'Righteous Brothers' from deejays as a nick name on the soul stations where they were mainly played. I gotta love em!!
Sweet. If you like that duet with baritone ..I got one for you, from that era...couple of guys and a wall of sound again: The Walker Brothers - "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore"
If you want to hear Bobby not being soft check out his live solo of Summertime. A couple of lesser known but really good songs are Nobody But You and Substitute.
So cool in this video when Bobby strikes his pose, sitting there like he dont care with his chin on his hand because his babe has lost that loving feeling.
You said they better go off They didn't go off I did, I fell off my chair. and I owe it to you so thanks again Lizzie for putting these high class acts on your channel stay safe please my dear God bless you I pray
When people showed their souls instead of selling them.
wow!
P R E A C H !!!!!!
Lol. So dramatic 🙄
Best comment ever!
Damn well said!
Artists could actually sing back in the day. Imagine that.
Plenty dtill exist but you would rather pretend you know then search for lots of quality musicians that are out there. Your's is a very cliche comment
Does whining about it help anything?
It was the 60s, when rock came of age.
What a concept, wow in the 60's they would have said something like, " that was really far out man"... yes, to get on stage and actually have real talent. Cool dude... oh Allen to ur comment I say pppptttt. How cliche is that , oh great searcher..
It is a darn good thing!
what passes for music today in just awful!
That my dear was one of the most played and most popular songs ever recorded in music history. It is a Classic.
I definitely see why 😭💗
I heard it was The most played song of the 20th century.
Elvis did a version which sounds like totally different song try giving a reaction to it I thinks it’s better
AGREED

Melting hearts for 58 years and counting.
A thousand years from now women will still react this way.
"The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Greatest Male Vocal Duet Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on an 73 key piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary.

The best song in history. Great duo with flawless harmonies. No autotune needed here!
1:12 that first “but baby” gets absolutely everyone in these reaction videos!!
50 years from now, this song will still resonate with people!
This is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. Pure talent. Your reaction was deep and unexpected by you. That’s my favorite response.
Thank you so much 💗
This was the most played song in the history of radio,it was the bathroom song for DJ's
The most played song of the 20th Century. They made such great music. No autotune. Try Soul and Inspiration by the Righteous Brothers. Sadly Bobby Hatfield left us in 2003. The greatest duo of all time. So glad you like it
Yep, the song holds a record (or vice versa? : ) that can never be broken.
Their most SOULFUL effort! Great suggestion ...
Yes they were . 2nd to none, their two great voices blended together as one even greater voice. Not two ego's trying to outscream the other. Ta-da
nope. most played pop/rock song, not most played song.
Both the top two songs of soul and heart inspiration and Unchained Melody we're on musically arranged by Phil Spector in the wall of sound that's what he's known for he made all the hits making singers of the late 50s 60s and early seventies and he did a good job at it as you know he's got these two songs by The Righteous Brothers playing on and on for generations and generations so can't put down a good song kind of keep on playing it
Every woman reacts to "I'd get down on my knees for you, If you'd only love me like you used to do" by melting!
No auto tune no computers, just raw talent!! Lovely reaction Liz! 😊🌹
Dude, what are you talking about? It was a reverb and echo chamber distorted Phil Spector production.
NO COMPUTERS... NO SYNTHESIZERS...NO LIP-SYNCING... PURE TALENT AND PURE LIVE VOICE!!!!
The way they harmonize and the fact their voices perfectly complement each other is on another level...u needed talent back then, just a voice and a mic...no auto-tune etc etc
REAL ! I love watching people’s reactions to hearing them for first time. LOVED yours the best. It’s REAL !
Phil Spector was all over this song. What a master he was.

A master of sloppy distortion.
Fun fact: Phil Spector was convicted of murder and died in prison
@@tskend8502 Doesn't detract from his genius as an arranger.

The growl that Bill brings to " Baby " is what does it for me - right from the gut.

Watching you get smacked with the original blue-eyed soul is like watching a toddler taking his first taste of chocolate.
No auto tune, just raw talent.

Soul and inspiration, all I can say is I'm a man, and it, well no words I could possibly say or even think can describe would do that song justice!!
Praying that you are well
Decades later and we men still feel like this and women melt to this song.

One of the best groups and song ever made
One of those Songs that never gets old :)

Jeez I'm 35 and feel old. Classics like this are still everyday for me
They were such a wonderful duo. It is not hard to imagine they started out using their names. They picked up the name of the 'Righteous Brothers' from deejays as a nick name on the soul stations where they were mainly played. I gotta love em!!
@michael scott Funny because that's not what he told me.
This beautiful girl's reaction is why the world needs more sons like this. Oops! Freudian slip! That was meant to be "songs."
Let's just say there are alot of 58 year olds out there who were conceived to this song...lol
You're so beautiful!! Oh, and yes, grewup during this time, they're the BEST. He ain't coming to play!

So cool in this video when Bobby strikes his pose, sitting there like he dont care with his chin on his hand because his babe has lost that loving feeling.
real music and talent.
the funny thing is both of them could make their voices go raspy for effect and still hit the note. the word "Great" doesnt do them justice
