    Roger!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give us an update video on this cleaner! I’d love to see it in its former glory! I’d love to see it eating up dirt with all its parts in order!

    Truly delighted to hear you"ve been offered replacement wheels! I almost stopped watching when you discovered the broken parts, so upsetting. And I live in Seattle for heaven sake! But I know how I'd have felt. Handsome machine, it should tidy up beautifully. Great video as always.

    Very nice Hoover Turbopower 2. This was the second model I got to start off my collection. Your particular example was manufactured in December 1992. Very early, this machine would of been one of the first to incorporate the bag check light, instead of a piston bag check indicator, located on the bag door. You can tell your example is an early on as it has matching colour parts, for example, the lower and upper cord hooks and the exhaust filter grill.
    I personally leave the sales stickers on, they look a lot nicer and fancy with them on in my opinion.
    Shame about the wheel. Always those careless couriers!
    P.S if you block the hose end off for an extended period of time, it can risk splitting the bag door. A lot of them did suffer from that.

    We had the original turbo 2 with the piston bag full indicator. The bag doors were bad for splitting where the indicator was. lol it was at the time of the scandalous free flights promotion. It also had the air freshener tab slot like yours in the grill. They did those from the very start with the turbo 2. I still have a soft spot for these machines

    Hi Roger. This is a stab in the dark; have you ever considered using a 3D printer to manufacture obsolete parts for your vacuum projects? I don’t know if it’s possible to commission one off objects from someone who has one of these machines, or whether the cost would be prohibitive.

    I think we had one of these in the 90s, it def had the autosense, I am pretty sure we had it up until a few years ago to be used only in emergencies!

    Roger, just thought you'd like to know, you were talking about this having better tool suction, and being one of the first clean air Hoover's other then the U.K. Convertable (or the Dial.A.Matic as it is called here). I have several Dial.A.Matic's in my collection, including the first from 1963 (can be seen on my channel). Clean, with a rebuilt motor, my Dial.A.Matic's pull about 60 on my suction tester. While I realize the voltage is different in our contries, I can't imagine the wattage being that much different. But for the 60's versus the ealry 90's, 60waterlifit is still a cut obove the rest.

    Nice machine and sorry about the wheel issue. I had a 1960s American Electrolux arrive with a broken wheel. Really hard to find part.

    I almost got a turboower 1 but thought the bags were hard to find I don't know why I didn't it's such a good looking vacuum
    I think it had a hose so I think it was a total clean turbopower

    For us in the states, I think the WindTunnel was the last great Hoover, not sure if you got them here in the UK.

    stil interesting you guys get 240 for your vacuums and house plugs

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      220 to 240 is the voltage sent to all homes and businesses through the national grid and I can’t see that changing anytime soon. It is also the voltage used in most of Europe.
