Hoover U2880 Turbopower 3 - The Last Decent Hoover Upright Vacuum Cleaner

- I managed to import this beauty into the UK from Germany before the EU transition period ends to avoid any possible customs charges. Although this was a German export model, it was made in Cambuslang Scotland, so I have brought it a bit closer to its birthplace. If we Brits are ever allowed to visit Scotland again, I may pop this Turbopower 3 in the boot of the car and show it where it was born along with millions of other Hoover cleaners.
This model dates from 1996 and was the top of the Hoover upright range at the time with all the bells and whistles including autosense, Permabag System 2, stair cleaning hose, edge to edge cleaning and a micro filter system.
For 1996, this Hoover cleaner is very well made and seems very similar to a Sebo X series in terms of build quality. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต

I think the UK Turbomaster/Turbopower were sold under the Hoover Innovation or Sovereign line in the US.

To help the bad smell go away, if you have any in Wash scent boosters beads like unstoppables or Lenor, try putting some of them in the bag whilst it's still new.
I used to use the Neutradol super fresh vac sacs in my Numatic James but found they soon wore out and then I was watching a video on TH-cam, I think it was one of Mr Hooverlux's videos where he put some unstoppables beads in a fresh bag of his Numatic, so I tried it myself and it really does work, the scent lasts the life of the bag 😁👌
Don't know if it'd work in an upright but it definitely does in cylinder like a Numatic 👍
I have one of this Turbopower 3 without Permabag new in box. Have to unbox and test it once.
A fine example, practically box fresh (apart from the pong, that is) !

@ibasiac HELP.. 😶 Roger I have a sebo X4 navy cleaner which my domestic worker has managed to age, it is now convered in scratches all over the body. What can I used and how can I polish out the scratches from the plastic of the machine and make is shiny new again like you've done with this hoover?
Interestingly I had the same issue with the air fresher on my burgundy Turbopower 3. Despite soaking and scrubbing I never managed to get rid of the remains, or the smell!

I'm confused now. We had one of these as I especially remember the autosense on it and it was a brill vacuum but I don't remember the permabag?? Did I miss the fact that not all of the TPIII had the permabags...
The Permabag was only available on the top of the range models.

No, it won’t fit. I have a Hoover PurePower with a permanent cloth bag that would fit the Enigma.
Gorgeous Hoover. IF that square hasn't chemically eaten into the plastic, which it looks like it did, car wax usually can easily remove any sticky residue. Not optimistic here, but I hope I'm wrong. 😥😥😥😥😥

Negative. WD40 will strip plastic and stain rubber
@@MrWolfSnack im not saying do the whole vacume i have used it befor on sticky stuff and thats a molded pice not painted so it will not strip the plastic.
