Passed my test today. Thank you for your tips and tricks but I must see a good instructor is a key to pass your test. My instructor did a really good job teaching me. I passed my test on the first attempt
Hi Dane I went on my 1st theory test. I failed on my multiple choice questions score was 40 and my HP 65😞. The answers where kind a twisted. I have found some questions quite challenging. Before the exam I was scoring 47 48 and 50. I don’t understand why I fail. I learned so hard. Any advice and tips plz will help. Thank you
Hi. Do you have any advice on 'staying centred' on your own side of the road? When during lessons, I find I am either too close to the kerb or too close to the middle of the road. Anything I should do to improve?
Hi Dane, Would I be correct in saying we’re not allowed to enter a bus lane until the road markings allow us, even if the bus lane was full of cars who started queuing before the end of bus lane marking. I’m driving test, stop where the arrow allows you to move over and hope someone lets you in, probably get beeped by traffic behind 😢
Not sure if you have one but might I suggest making a course with all your TH-cam content. A more detailed and structured video lesson course to pass the test. Could be an extra money maker for you!
Hi Dane thanks so much for your videos, they're a really good resource for learners. I have a question re no entry signs at the end of the one way road you're travelling on (right at the junction). The writing is on a ramp with the small triangles before and after. My question is do i stop just before the ramp, and then creep out slowly over the ramp, or can i stop on the ramp and then start to creep out at the junction. Hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance!
@@DaneTygheletsdrive yes its like a speed bump and the no entry sign is written across it. triangles denote the beginning and end of ramp if that makes sense. its right at a v busy t junction in the centre of dundalk town . thanks
Hi Dane, In the situation at 4:40, can we legally cross the solid line to enter the hatched area to facilitate the traffic behind then? I saw people do it everyday, but it seems that interferes with the Rules of the Roads, i.e. it is not allowed to enter the hatched area surrounding by solid line, except for emergency.
@@DaneTygheletsdrive I've the same question if the traffic one left blocks me from entering the middle lane can I cross the solid line to get into the queue for turning right if there is space ?
Hi Dane, if I got into a bus lane 2 car lengths away from an actual “ end of bus lane” would I get a fault. To make a left turn I have to go from a normal lane to an “end of bus lane” and then instantly I need to move over one more lane to get into a lane that diverts left.
Hi Dane, can I overtake a bus which is dropping off passengers and not signaled right yet, across a solid white line? I come across this situation quite often in my test route practice. Thanks in advance!
Can you overtake a bicycle on a road that has chevron marking that runs the full length of the road and it’s surrounded by solid white line. Is a straight road and you can see everything. I think it’s a central median island
Bhoopesh S 1= Cross only if safe but beware of limited visibility ahead, 2= Cross only if safe 3= multiple lane traffic, only cross if safe. 4 and 5 =hatched lines don't cross unless safe although they are surrounded by a broken white line so you could cross to turn right but only if safe
Neena Thomas Hello thank you for your comment, I could certainly try to do that but just to clarify, perhaps you could explain what you mean by a spiral roundabout?
Dane Tyghe a spiral roundabout is a multi-lane roundabout with spiral markings, instead of the usual markings in the middle. Essentially, the driver doesn't have to change lane in the middle of the roundabout when turning right.
wasnt expecting a reply, with all ur video's u seem like a busy man ^^ but yeah i find them super helpful... i gotta learn for my theory test first then all the rest follows but yeah nice video's! keep it up :)

What do you mean by a ramp? Are you talking about stopping on a speed bump or something?
@@DaneTygheletsdrive yes its like a speed bump and the no entry sign is written across it. triangles denote the beginning and end of ramp if that makes sense. its right at a v busy t junction in the centre of dundalk town . thanks
If it's not a pedestrian crossing there should be no problem stopping on it
Dane Tyghe Thank you!

Thanks amillon for your help.i just want to know, can I overtake the cyclist if there’s continuous white line and there is no oncoming traffic?
You're very welcome! Yes you can overtake - you need to do what's practical so overtake but only if you have no choice and only if safe.

What middle lane?
Hi Dane, if I got into a bus lane 2 car lengths away from an actual “ end of bus lane” would I get a fault. To make a left turn I have to go from a normal lane to an “end of bus lane” and then instantly I need to move over one more lane to get into a lane that diverts left.
You would have to do it in accordance with the markings.

Does the single yellow line not mean ‘no parking during business hours’ ?
Yes usually
Can you overtake a bicycle on a road that has chevron marking that runs the full length of the road and it’s surrounded by solid white line. Is a straight road and you can see everything. I think it’s a central median island
Yes if safe and for practical reasons
In my my Driving Lessons I'm to close or to far away from the lines. And I need to control myself on that.
Can you please explain whats difference between 1,2,3 at time 2.28 and 4&5 at time 4.04 please?
