What is it with Nintendo and giant heads with hands for bosses? Zelda, bongo bongo and Gohdan. Star fox, Andross. Mario, Eyerok. Kirby, Wham bam rock and now Donkey kong with this!
I'm I the only one who likes this boss the best? I know he's easy, but his design and music makes up for it in my opinion, and to me the fight is still fun, even though it's easy, which isn't that what matters? If it's fun.

Not bad, but really underwhelming. Tiki tong is based loosely on a drum, but aside from pounding his head in, nothing is done with it. This is the only time you get to actually fight a tiki, one with dk's preferred instrument no less, and there's nothing to show for it. Even characteristics like slapping his head once in a while would go a long way.
In art class yesterday, we learned about the history of cave paintings and how they are supposedly created to represent the spiritual trances they go into. I was instantly reminded of the background in this fight... flashing colors and lights, weird patterns, sacred animals... not to mention that the tiki tak tribe did some kind of freaky ritual with the bananas, and literally hypnotize the inhabitants of the island by putting them in trances. There has gotta be some inspiration from Trances in this game, or at the very least, this fight.
One ape must descend on a quest around an island in the middle of nowhere to stop wooden things from taking it over. Donkey kong will then face a giant wooden firebreathing thing (totally logical) that floats. And at the end.... he punches the moon onto earth and it rains bananas!
George Williams Bale There was SOOOO much logic in the moon part. SO MUCH. I mean there's no way that the moon would fall that easily, There's no way it wouldn't crush the whole Earth, And there's DEFIANTLY no way it could go back that easily! Soooo much logic Lol I'm so triggered -3-

When I first played this game when I was younger, I sucked more at games and I thought this was hard as hell. Now I see it wasn't. Also, I was always reminded of Wham Bam Rock (Kirby Super Star) from this battle. XD
I was the exact same way! Back then, I struggled to beat it without banana juice (10 extra hits) and Diddy Kong, and if I lost Diddy, forget it! I'm pretty sure it took me about 40 tries before I finally beat the boss. But now that I'm better at games, I can beat this final boss without even getting hit, and I don't even need Diddy Kong. Lol
Dude I’m about to cry. This is one of the first games I remember playing after getting the family Wii in the late 2000s. I was 3-4 years old and I loved this game so much, I became obsessed with Donkey Kong. I would kill to go back to those days.
Tbh, its one of the best bosses ive seen in years! The music is incredible, the design is fantastic and even if the difficulty is too easy, it still surprises you with certain attacks especially when you fight him for the first times! Also, I think youre the only person that ever said that Tiki Tong was the lamest boss.. Ive never seen any bad opinions on him at all so thats very surprising to me. Edit: At least this boss has his own big personality which is amazing to see! It makes him more alive and funny to fight against!
