It's not that hard to get best seller on steam
"Dead game" clearly bothers but here are some more facts. Very few games as large and as visible as Destiny have such extreme highs and lows. Is it a dead game? No but the game has been on life support almost as many times equal to the years that ppl have been playing it and THAT is not a symbol of a great game or developer. There is always great potential but it never delivers truly in greatness and has some of the worst negative periods of any franchise I've ever played. The only reason the game remains relevant is the fact that when it is good it's extremely fun. That's is only saving grace. Looks like Bungie is finally going to deliver on what I thought the game should have always been with the announcements of what witch queen is bringing but I also thought this exact thing a few times already. The morale of the story is that it will serve you well to not get wrapped up in the hype of flashy, highly Edited cutscenes bc this might be another dlc that looks awesome a few days in and turns into a hamster wheel of mediocrity after a few weeks.

Put this with Iron and Match Game and players suddenly get their crutches kicked from underneath them.
12 years of Playing Bungie’s games and 7 years of destiny. My social life is nonexistent I love this game! Bungie has forever changed me: inspired me, challenged me,and I found so many great people and memories were formed over the 7 years And I’m excited to make more.

I said I would be back for witch queen and I’m glad I took a long break, I will enjoy this even more now. Last time I played was the season that ended with the traveler healing itself.

Today isn’t about Bungie, it’s not about Destiny or Halo… it’s about us the players and community celebrating 30 years together to accomplish something amazing. I remember all the midnight releases and all the late night raids with people I’m still friends with today. I’ll never forget playing H4 with my buddy in one playthrough and looking at each other at the end with tears in our eyes. Thank you, Bungie

My favorite destiny memory was one day on d1 trials OG, my team was getting smacked, EXCEPT for me, I was pulling the most epic moves 1v3 people round after round. My teammates were freaking out accusing me of cheating etc. I mean I was decent back then, but that day I had my shit together and was unstoppable. I can still hear one of their voices as he was reacting to my plays.

I mean, D2 is almost always on the top 10 most played games on steam. Today it peaked 3rd place and for most of the recent seasons, It sat at 8th or 9th place with ease. It's not even near to be a dead game.

They did such a good job with the showcase. It just makes me want more and more and that’s what it’s supposed to do
I haven’t ever ever ever done trials at all because im a solo player. Always have been. So now we can solo que into trials, so now I can finally get in there and get these amazing weapons
I know I haven't really played the game all that much recently because everything else came out in the last couple months. But I played almost daily before Splicer. Gained every MoT shirt to date, got badges, pins, emblems, etc. And before destiny 2, D1 was my entire life. I led so many raids for people that had never gotten to experience one before, I made countless friends (all of whom have since moved on from destiny), and I got to experience end-game content I never would have imagined I would get to experience because of my social anxieties.
To see how far and how long I've followed Bungie through the years, revisiting old memories from Halo 1 to Destiny 2, I can't help but get a little emotional when I think back on just how far I've come since my days as a kinderguardian and how important this game is to me. It's been a wild ride thus far and I don't want to get off until it's over.

Honestly, I hope they do something more with the “enemy guardians” thing. Kind of like champions expect you have to kill them a certain number of times before you can squash the ghosts, or because they are using the light we could use stasis weapons to “darkness surrounds you” the hive guardians which means it takes longer for them to come back after killing them if you don’t kill the ghost in time.
I like to believe that the Crucible has somewhat prepared us for a situation like this: going against enemies using the light against us to this scale
Just praying that a lot of the content they mentioned including the loot cave dungeon has a matchmaking feature cause i can't seem to find people to group up with otherwise.
This is the stuff that should have been implemented on D2 release I’m just glad there finally integrating it it’s gonna do amazing things for us players

What if, the Traveller endorses what she is doing? When she called him an Unbeliever she was referring to him losing his faith in the Traveller.

i remember watching this guy do crota runs in d1 year 1
I remember myself and 7 buddies got halo 3 at midnight release. We did co-op campaigns 4v4 timed legendary. We then did slayer 36 hours later we were so tired. We were out of our minds and we drove 45 minutes to denny's. 8 people in a 4 person car. It was amazing. Thats why Halo 3 is my favorite.

I left for 2 years and its a mistake trying to get back in. I am so lost its not worth trying to figure out how to build my characters. I have fun in vault of glass but none of my peeps are miles ahead and I'm in a stupid grind mode and have to pay 10 dollars per season ranging from 90 to 120 days.

When they went into the 30th anniversary section my eyeballs sprung a leak. I haven't cried this hard in YEARS! I guess im going back to Destiny. Im so happy for Bungie and this community. Im tearing up again as I'm typing this. I never cry. this is strange. this is significant.
