There's a few good teachers on TH-cam, but you're right up there - your understanding of we hackers' faults is second to none which makes the remedy so much easier to understand and put into practice!
Thanks for the contact and your efforts! There are too many channels out there that really make building the golf swing very confusing, yours is DEFINITELY not one of them. I’ll be spreading the word about your YT channel.👍👏👊
Great video explaining the basics of iron striking! I can see this video helping out a lot of beginners and high handicappers. Easy to understand. Thanks for putting it together for us. I have a question for you. Seguro Golf recommends starting with the weight on the front leg as opposed to relying on timing the weight transfer during the swing. Can you tell us which weight transfer timing you think is better and why?
Hi Zachery, glad you enjoyed the video. I haven’t seen Seguro Golfs video on this but I can give you my take on this topic. Staying on your left side is a very valid way of swinging. Stack and tilt is based around this concept and works great for a lot of golfers. When we look at the best players in the world and longest hitters through biomechanics & pressure plates we see that their weight is constantly moving. When we also look at any other athletic motion we see the same thing. To answer your question both are very viable options & it depends on the player. I’ve taught both on the same day depending on what the player is striving for. Does that answer your question?
I agree with everyone's comments, your explanations are great! If you're looking for topics... It seems like most instructors treat the club as a pendulum? The majority of my power comes from the muscles controlling my wrists. I feel like the first couple fingers of my right hand are snapping the club head down through the ball. Is this bad?
Thanks for the recommendation here Craig! It sounds like you just have more of an active release & chances are this matches up with something in your downswing. I’ll be sure to add it to my list. Thank you
I’ve been having issues pulling shots left with uneven divots that look like the toe is digging in a bit, never seems like really good contact, I’m going to try these drills hopefully they help
These will definitely help but like always check your setup. Things like shoulder alignment, ball position & tilts are very common things that get out of position when players start to pull the ball
Hey man, when you are correcting from a weak grip, are you teaching people to move into a neutral grip or a strong grip? I have a pretty strong grip and struggle bowing my wrists and getting into the slot. Thanks!
Hi Giles, I notice you hinge your wrists late rather than going for the 90 degrees at left arm parallel. Any chance you can make a vid on that? Great stuff btw. 👍
@@Gilesgillgolf Hi Giles, yeah, a few other things I think would make good content are: > Clearing the hips - is it left hip back or right hip under left - what's your take on it? Also, how important is it? Some pros are way open, some not so much. > Driving - drills to keep the head back from transition through to impact > Connection - how do you get your students more connected in their swing Hope that is of some help and keep up the great work! :)
I find it very hard to get the grip strong. Think my hands are small and l struggle as a result. Would the wrist on still work even if my grip is not strong? Thanks
Thats great thanks. I tried today to make the grip stronger but it kept slipping back. Will try the wrist during the week at the range. Thanks for getting back to me.
Depends on the player and what ball flight you’re trying to achieve. Put it this way the more shaft lean you apply the more likely you are to swing into to out and produce a draw. I personally think a few degrees of shaft lean is great thing
@@drewspinoso4849 look at your pros… they all setup with different shaft lean amounts. Tommy Fleetwood has a lot of shaft lean. Don’t believe everything you see/hear
I hope your channel blows up! You are such a great teacher
Thank you Nathan! Fingers crossed it does!
Dude. You’re the best I’ve seen online explaining the golf swing! Brilliant perspective! Well done young man!
Thank you Bryan! Means a lot to hear that. I’ll keep posting videos so stay tuned. Any video requests?
@James Jennings thank you James!
I second that Bryan!
@@57strub Thank you!

Great video. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
Very good!!
Thank you Damian! Great to hear you enjoyed the video!
The drills you do are excellent. Very simple to do and understand. Thanks love the videos

Bowing my left wrist, I should say. (As a righty)
It depends on the player and their wrist conditions in the swing. I often have players with weak grips too who match it up great so I don’t change it
Best way is the more you bow the wrist the weaker the grip can be. The more you cup it the stronger the grip can be
@@Gilesgillgolf awesome, thanks!
Thanks for your vidéos, i would like that you continue after impact to acheive a stable position with nice balance..

@@Gilesgillgolf l assume you want that feeling or wrist set on the takeaway too to ensure its in the correct position with the club face?
@@terancecasey7951 yes in the takeaway but also in the downswing. Will help control the face throughout the swing
I really don’t understand why we start perpendicular to the ground but finish with forward shaft lean.
Why not start with shaft lean?????
