I'm a little late to the party here, but it was really cool to see this video. The dyno run was done at the factory, but they didn't show that. Flat Rock Assembly Plant builds all of the real mustangs, about 20 miles south of Detroit. The car was run through 'test roller', where the computer checks the alignment and other basic functions of the car, that was shown. They only do actual Dyno pulls on random Mustangs to be sure everything is right. I am quite sure that this one was put on the Dyno.
SouthBay RickyBobby Mystichrome won’t come back except for really expensive Shelby’s, perhaps a GT500KR. That color is a headache because it’s so difficult to replicate when the car is crashed or needs a touch up and Ford spends resources to send a specialist to your local Ford to make sure you do in fact own an original mystichrome mustang and then they paint it.
So Jackson paid a hundred grand and auctioned it of at his auction and made 900000 dollars he does know how to make money obviously you say these cars are about 80 or 90 thou is that with all the upgrades he has on this or was it more than what you say these cars are worth

I used to be one of the drivers who delivered the K-members for the S550 from the supplier in Bowling Green KY to the Flat Rock assembly plant. Its thanks to some folks at that plant that I went and bought my first Mustang.
I worked for the Nissan Plant in Canton, MS as well as the one in Smyrna, TN back in 2002. I can tell you that the speed of that line at that time was no joke. 60 cars an hour..do the math. You had one minute to do what you were assigned to do to that car. You had to be damn near perfect when putting on a part.
I got to see this car at Flat Rock after they added the wing and EXP500 striping on the side. It was really cool looking in person. I like it more than the Grabber Lime.
Good video!!! I started Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. In 1990 at the age of 20. Ford assembly mimics how we built the Subaru Legacy, Outback ect. vehicles in Lafayette Indiana. I retired at the age of 44 back in 2015. I have only had 1 Subaru during my career out their cause I have always been a car nut and craved my V8's. I have owned 8 different Mustang GT's and 1 2003 Terminator Cobra. Wish I would socked away all the different cars in a pole barn since buying my very first car at 15, a 1971 Chevelle. I have owned 3 Trans Ams, 2 Z28 Camaros, Corvette and the list goes on. Miss all the cars
You can’t ever go wrong with black or yellow IMO. But I do love the Grabber Blue and the Competition Orange. The green certainly isn’t bad. Anything other than red or silver works for me really.

Leave it to Craig Jackson of all people to have a completely custom GT500 directly from Ford made just for him. A man with that kind of provenance and prestige has well earned a unique piece like that and I respect the hell out of it. I do wish my ‘21 F-150 could be available in that green but is what it is 👍🏼
I just bought a GT 350 and they had one with and one without the stripes. I’m sorry to say that the one without the stripes just didn’t look like a Shelby to me so I chose the white with blue stripes a classic combination.

Very cool car to see built. I hope someone has already pointed out, those are not robots that are working with the operators.. they are lift assists for the operators, controlled by the operators. They assist in the lifting, placing and help with the ergonomics of doing those tasks, which result in less strain on the human body.

Great looking color for the green. Personally I would not have ordered the black on black as this makes it look like a regular GT I would want a color that makes the car stand out and shows the lines.
Sure, I'll agree to all of that. I just would never pay that much for this mustang. There are better cars and better investments for less. I don't think this one will go up in value enough to justify the price.
Blue is my favorite color, Green is my 2nd favorite color! Black is my worst favorite color on a vehicle! I bought a brand new Silverado in black, it’s always dusty, I can’t keep it clean, it leaves swirl marks in the clear coat just by wiping it down! I will never own another black vehicle! This is the ultimate green!

I got to work at the River Rouge plant in the late 70’s building Mustangs - not many robots on the line back then. It was brutal work and lots of “mistakes” just got passed along. I would never buy a late 70’s Mustang for that reason. But my 2019 Mustang is a sweet ride. Wouldn’t trade it for anything... well maybe for a 2020 GT 500! Thanks for the video.
I think where they are being being is totally fine. Lets think about it...those “aiding robots” are actually taking a lot of back breaking labor out, but are also very accurate and I’m sure lessen the chance of a human manually picking the door up and possible dinging the paint job. it’s still taking human hands to make sure everything is flush and square, so that cool that it’s not all robots. Reminds me of construction workers having power tools such as air nailers, opposed to hand banging every nail. If the mechanics were building in another garage...they may not have this very expensive equipment which would lead to more knicks and dings in the paint. So I’m my opinion even if the car is over $100k it is being build exactly where it should. Plus I’m sure those mechanics are the best of the best the Ford has to offer.
Your so right about dark colors hiding lines. I went for the metalic metal paint with the flakes. Its beautiful but some of the sexy lines i like about my mustang are hidden. With that said, that hornet green was dreamy 👌🏾
I am old school. When Shelby stopped making the Mustang GT and Ford took over the production on their Mustang assembly line (68). To me, they are not Shelby's anymore. I like the color.

I got a 2021 GT500, it's an incredible machine. It has so much power that it can freeze your bones at any given millisecond. I love it.
I think it's amazing how the car is able to start and drive right off the line for some reason.
It's a Ford. GM and Mopar have to jump start and hit their junk with starting fluid.

You go wrong with yellow 100% of the time. Yellow is by far, the worst color to paint anything.
