    Man, they pulled the abandon ship alarm pretty quick. This thing must have had a good start before they got there. Great footage Frank.

      Sorry i did not see this before Gregg, They made an interior attack from the front but once the roof failed they pulled them out. something in that back corner was burning like hell and just wouldn't go out. it is 10-15 min in when my video starts and you can see water coming out from the inside. I suspect they had a lot of weight on the roof as well vents and AC.

      @@justanotherguy1110 you obviously missed the sarcasm. This video was shot 2 days ago, but nobody's wearing an SCBA. They should know better. He's calling out their ignorance for not caring about their own health and safety.

      Not surprising, all you could see is the obvious! You didn't even notice that the nozzleman was just about the only real firefighter in these TH-cam videos. At least you are consistent. You have nothing to offer But the obvious.

    WHY were the men, (I suspect from Eng. 52), allowed so close to the structure without SCBA????? That is absolutely unacceptable! Especially when there are people WITH SCBA standing around. IC is not doing these 'cowboys' any favor by allowing this behavior.

    Looks like all those thousands of man hours spent on setting up holiday train gardens, pancake breakfasts, and installation dinners really paid off. No SCBAs, lots of standing around, an endless number of safety violations,, and no overall strategy on this one.

    • @CShivery
      @CShivery 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @A Person definitely. I don't like being critical of fire departments, but in this case it's a failure of leadership. Looking at their videos, they catch lots of fire. Their chief isn't leading. There's no need for him to be throwing bricks through windows, flowing water when he's IC, running around yelling, and all the other shenanigans that he does on the scene. Very unfortunate for the members who don't know any different than his example.

    They basically did nothing for these businesses. instead of trying to contain the fire by cutting it off they fought it from the Bravo side. Not to mention opening all the windows and doors which allowed more oxygen for the fire, and created a flow path intensifing the fire.

    3:15 I thought I was going to actually faint watching this. If you want to see a REAL firefighter, watch this guy. How can you tell the difference? He applies water, checks to see if the flames die down, MOVES HIS FEET to get a better Angle of Attack and applies more water. Checks again and believe it or not, moves to a different location. He also moves closer each time to increase his likelihood of getting the water on more burning material. He even adjusts the nozzle to a cone of water to cover a greater area. This guy definitely Isn't a Fountain Statue.
    10:18 Then another firefighter gets on the nozzle and puts water on one spot like a Fountain Statue to hold up the reputation of mainstream USA firefighting.
    12:00 Then My Man takes a look, walks back over to the hose with that, "let's get this thing done." swagger, takes over and goes into action.
    On the other hand, all the officers should be put against the wall and Shot for not getting their people on SCBA. This looked like a video out of the 50's!
    Take notice! Whenever you see a ladder nozzle in use, the flames rarely go done and in most cases get larger. That's because they don't have an effective Line Of Sight on the burning material. They go through a hole and wash the floor. The operator can't see anything through the smoke and water stream.
    P.S I'm sure glad Jasmine Lindros noticed the lack of SCBA! What would we do without her?

    Is this a volunteer department because they kinda operate like it. No SCBA, venting a roof that is clearly already vented, pulling a 2-1/2” when you already had 3 elevated master streams on the Fire-ground. Hell would’ve been better served to open up a deck gun than pull that damn line and let the two porch men stand outside without SCBA and shoot water through a door.

      @@darrylking6847 if you don’t want your job critiqued probably don’t put it on TH-cam. All my points are valid. Regardless of volunteer or not they should’ve been wearing SCBA. Firefighter safety is day one at the Academy or in any training. Any department is only as good as its officers and these guys need better officers.
