Your first true love always has a place in your heart no one else can ever touch in exactly the same way....its always special in it's time and place, and helps to make you who you are today. I absolutely loved this video because it took me back to the first time my first love and I kissed...I had a wife, he had a girlfriend...and we decided that we could make ourselves acceptable and happy by having the women for society and family and each other for us. Needless to say it did not work out exactly that way. We lost touch after we broke up and I thankfully felt the need years later to call him to tell him how important he was in my eventual coming out and being happy with myself....it turned out, he was in the final weeks of his life (AIDS in 1992)...and we spent the final.month of his life talking and reminiscing and getting him ready for the journey he was going to go on without me. He passed in Jan 1993...and I think of him often and smile...and that when it's my time, I hope he will be greeting me on the other side.

Thanks for this story. First I need to say that I’m not openly gay but I believe that people can easily figure it out or at least assume that about me. I live in a country where homosexuality is a crime and culturally not acceptable but showing affection between men to some extent even kissing on the chicks is acceptable and that can be very confusing for someone like me to figure out whether the other person is flirting or just being friendly. I’m going through the same thing with this really hot straight guy for over two years. I’m crazy about him and every time we meet I fall in deeper and deeper. We’re constantly flirting every time we talk. He lives in another city but every time we meet, we’re together amongst friends yet still without feeling shy about it he literally fights others to grab a sit next to me, hold my hand or wrap his arms around me. He likes to touch my skin but then not to seem sexual or awkward he asks about the lotion I use. He voluntarily asks to give me a back rub or jokes about kissing me on the lips but when I reach he pulls back. When we get drunk or high, things take a different turn. He becomes incredibly protective of me where he pulls me into his arms and cuddles me cause I’m normally wasted and it always feels in that moment that it’s only the two of us in the world even if we’re at a party cause we both don’t care if others are looking at us or judging us. Suddenly his mood and posture and tone changed and in a very serious way he said “ well cause I’m not gay and I’m just joking. “ I tried to compose myself and not show my emotions and keep smiling but deep down what he said and how he said it was like a sharp ice cold dagger that went into my heart. I couldn’t breath, it felt like there was a lump in my throat and all I could hear for the rest of the road was his sentence “ I’m not gay. “ in my ear. When he got off the car and we drove off, within a few seconds I lost it and broke down into tears. I was crying so hard for an hour like I’ve never cried before. My other friend who was driving the car was shocked and didn’t know what has happened or why I was crying. My heart was destroyed and the pieces were exploding out of my chest. I wanted to rip my throat and chest out so that maybe I could feel less pain. When I got back home from that trip I was depressed for weeks. I went to bed crying and woke up in tears. This sick cycle still continues. I try to forget him or ignore these feelings but we text every week and meet every 2 months and the flirting and mixed signals still continues and I feel weak towards him and pathetic cause even though l’m almost sure nothing will ever happen between us, with every text my heart beats faster, every time we meet my knees start to shake and I don’t feel like myself when I’m around him. I daydream about us everyday. I can only wish we would have an ending like yours cause this for me is not a fling, I truly love him. what a sweet story! it really reminded me of my first real boyfriend. we met in middle school, he went the year over me I had just started in 8th grade. he went to 9th grade. I remember the first day of school, everything is new and exciting and I came into the schoolyard, and he was actually the first person I saw. I actually fell in love only after the first sight of him. I ran across the schoolyard to reach the first hour and not be late. then it rang out and I went out and met my best and oldest friend at school, he had said he would help me get to know new people. we sat on a bench and waited for a person. then he came and my bff said hello hello to Kenneth he started in 8th today. and there was HE !!! we got to know met ov became head friends. we started hanging out as a group of friends, but also alone. we went to the cinema, cafe and trips together as friends, once around Christmas time we went for a walk together only he and I. it had snowed and was a little slippery. I slipped and hit my knee. he came and helped me and supported me until we got home to the one who was closest. he helped me to his bed, picked up an ice pack and put it on my knee. if I was not in love before then I was you at least then! we talked together all that night about a lot of different things. I was openly gay, he asked me very carefully at the end of the evening if I would stay overnight. you were Christmas vacation. I said it's okay for me called home and told my mother about it. she said it was all right. we lay on his bed and talked, watched movies and then it just slipped out of me how I felt for him, before he answered I said. you do not have to feel the same just do not break the friendship! he said he was in the closet but felt much the same. I told him that I actually fell in love with him on the first day of school before 1st grade. we stayed together that night and the only ones who found out were the group of friends and the family. we were together for 6 years, and today are still the world's best friends, and we agree that we have helped shape each other. today he is married to a lady and has come out of the closet as bisexual. and we still hang out a lot!
Nice story, Andrew. Made me feel kind of warm inside. Just the opportunity to be with someone you adore, for many reasons and not only the physical one, it just a great experience. He found you very attractive and so it just took a little time, patience and understanding to make it work for so long. Oh how I missed your videos so much. I let others hear that I support in the behavioral health realm to give them encouragement and motivation to help them with deal with sexuality issues. You're quite the hero to many.
Andrew, I love hearing this for it brought back a few good memories from a date or two. I haven't had the long term that you have for as you know the Southeast can be harsh, especially in the 80's and 90's. Glad you had this experience and hope you can find others or your long term one day. I too am looking and pray that it he comes my way soon. But I don't agree with the part in wich you said "the experiences will come for you" - that's simply not true, if you don't go out there and try to meet people and just "don't worry about it" you will probably end up not having any relationships or cool experiences - talking from personal experience.
True, I spent my first two years of highschool not making any friends. Not because the whole school doesn't like me I just wasn't good at reaching out. Hopefully that will change after covid.
I really feel the need to let you know that my sub conscious immune system accepts you as being attractive when I watch your videos and that probably you have reached a level of human perfection not yet seen in a person because I typically don't like anyone because my brain is extremely sensitive to danger and over protective of my body. I'm always sub conscious ly analyzing risk avoidance and prevention to optimize my chances of survival. So I watch your videos and find that you make me feel unusual feelings of acceptance that is uncommon for me to feel and you lower stress and raise my mood levels to even further help me fight disease. Yes I can relate to your Story. I'm a 63 y.o. gay man. In 1977 thru 1984 I was in a relationship that we got to know what we were thinking and could finish each other sentence. We were around each other all the time. My mom died so I had the house and he had a key. After work he would come over. We travel to Lakewood Colorado suburb of Denver. One year his parents call and said they and his younger siblings were half way out there and could we get a room in hotel. Well he wanted kids and then was a no no so he was looking for a women in 84 he meet a women in 85 got married. yes we talk his wife dislike me. when we went to the auto show we brought his kids. yes i have few boy friend but only one real love and soulmate. and he was my first. Thank you for sharing your stories.

I remember a similar story in college at UW - Madison, circa 1997. This guy named Andrew (yep) was straight, super sweet and nice. We would always talk and I really liked him but always had those fearful hopeful butterflies in my stomach when he was around. We were on the same floor a few rooms apart in the dorms. We could often be found talking about a lot of things. I never made a move but the intensity and hopefulness were there. We would often sit really close together while talking in each other's rooms. Then on Valentine's Day we were both watching MTV and chatting. It was so intense. We could both tell. So much emotion built up. I took a chance. I leaned in to kiss him and he didn't reject. It was super intense. From that point things were pretty heavy but in a very heavy PG-13 kinda way. After a while he stopped talking to me. It was a few weeks and he finally met me during midterms to talk. Basically he said that he was not gay and that his family expected him to be straight, get married, and have kids. From that point forward he turned extremely mean and spiteful towards me. He just became an ugly person. It was very difficult. We worked together in the dorm. He got rid of all his guy friends and seemingly forced himself to only hang out with girls. It was an unfortunate end. I cried for about a week which affected my midterm grades. Month's later when I came out to my two roommates, I explained to them what happened and they finally understood why I was so miserable and crying that whole week. They were very supportive. The most frustrating thing is realizing that Andrew would probably force himself to be straight, get married, have kids.....and then end up destroying that life because of his repressed feelings resurfacing later in life. Very detrimental but not unheard of. For me at that time it was a Shakespearean tragedy of sorts.

Nice story, Andrew. Made me feel kind of warm inside. Just the opportunity to be with someone you adore, for many reasons and not only the physical one, it just a great experience. He found you very attractive and so it just took a little time, patience and understanding to make it work for so long. Andrew, I love hearing this for it brought back a few good memories from a date or two. I haven't had the long term that you have for as you know the Southeast can be harsh, especially in the 80's and 90's. Really cool story. But I don't agree with the part in wich you said "the experiences will come for you" - that's simply not true, if you don't go out there and try to meet people and just "don't worry about it" you will probably end up not having any relationships or cool experiences - talking from personal experience.
True, I spent my first two years of highschool not making any friends. Not because the whole school doesn't like me I just wasn't good at reaching out. Hopefully that will change after covid.
I really feel the need to let you know that my sub conscious immune system accepts you as being attractive when I watch your videos and that probably you have reached a level of human perfection not yet seen in a person because I typically don't like anyone because my brain is extremely sensitive to danger and over protective of my body. I'm always sub conscious ly analyzing risk avoidance and prevention to optimize my chances of survival. So I watch your videos and find that you make me feel unusual feelings of acceptance that is uncommon for me to feel and you lower stress and raise my mood levels to even further help me fight disease. So thank you Andrew, thank you for existing and making videos of yourself to help me maintain my health.

Yes I can relate to your Story. I'm a 63 y.o. gay man. In 1977 thru 1984 I was in a relationship that we got to know what we were thinking and could finish each other sentence. We were around each other all the time. My mom died so I had the house and he had a key. After work he would come over. We travel to Lakewood Colorado suburb of Denver. One year his parents call and said they and his younger siblings were half way out there and could we get a room in hotel. Well he wanted kids and then was a no no so he was looking for a women in 84 he meet a women in 85 got married. yes we talk his wife dislike me. when we went to the auto show we brought his kids. yes i have few boy friend but only one real love and soulmate. and he was my first. Thank you for sharing your stories.

I remember a similar story in college at UW - Madison, circa 1997. This guy named Andrew (yep) was straight, super sweet and nice. We would always talk and I really liked him but always had those fearful hopeful butterflies in my stomach when he was around. We were on the same floor a few rooms apart in the dorms. We could often be found talking about a lot of things. I never made a move but the intensity and hopefulness were there. We would often sit really close together while talking in each other's rooms. Then on Valentine's Day we were both watching MTV and chatting. It was so intense. We could both tell. So much emotion built up. I took a chance. I leaned in to kiss him and he didn't reject. It was super intense. From that point things were pretty heavy but in a very heavy PG-13 kinda way. After a while he stopped talking to me. It was a few weeks and he finally met me during midterms to talk. Basically he said that he was not gay and that his family expected him to be straight, get married, and have kids. From that point forward he turned extremely mean and spiteful towards me. He just became an ugly person. It was very difficult. We worked together in the dorm. He got rid of all his guy friends and seemingly forced himself to only hang out with girls. It was an unfortunate end. I cried for about a week which affected my midterm grades. Month's later when I came out to my two roommates, I explained to them what happened and they finally understood why I was so miserable and crying that whole week. They were very supportive. The most frustrating thing is realizing that Andrew would probably force himself to be straight, get married, have kids.....and then end up destroying that life because of his repressed feelings resurfacing later in life. Very detrimental but not unheard of. For me at that time it was a Shakespearean tragedy of sorts.
