I feel like the point of the story tho isn’t about “Gay” falling for “Straight”. Hear me out, I think it’s more about 2 People having an undeniable chemistry that even they cannot ignore. It’s not about gay or straight. It’s about 2 people finding that other person to love them the way they love other people. And it just so happens to be 2 boys that find that love with each other.
No, lorenzo is gay and found love in caito. Caito has been through heavy things. He hurt a guy and he was at the hospital. If he dies, caito would be in prison. His father was a horrible person and he found in lorenzo somebody who trully cares about him and his future, who forgives him for every f thing he does, like stealing his cell phone, breaking the line phone, stealling his moms money.... But he is not gay. He left to save being in prison when the guy died.

Lorenzo is such a lovely guy!! His mother's understanding of his love for Caito is so good. It reminds me of the mom in Call Me By Your Name and her compassion for Elio's love for Army Hammer.
The mother scene of understanding and acceptance was my favorite part

Beautiful! Depicts what many gay teens experience having feelings for someone but not sure how the other feels. It doesn’t seem like he. Feels the same way. The kiss scene says a lot. Bold move on one the young ones part, but although Cairo reaches out to him physically with a hug, and tells him he loves him, it is still not the same as the final scene shows. Congratulations to you the actors. A brilliant performance. I was able to feel their feelings.

I loved this film so much. I super identified with Lolo and would die to have someone like Caito come into my life... I really wish there was more to the story. I really became invested in both characters. One of my other favorite characters was the mom- she was amazing. On a side note- anyone else noticed the little brother was somewhat of a sociopath???

Please tell me Caito is not a bad guy. The ending is heartbreaking... he just wanted the money he was told he has earned from work but never got a single of it. He just needed it to pay for his problems with his own family.. I just really felt bad for him..
