It’s not about gay or straight. It’s about 2 people finding that other person to love them the way they love other people. And it just so happens to be 2 boys that find that love with each other.

His father was a horrible person and he found in lorenzo somebody who trully cares about him and his future, who forgives him for every f thing he does, like stealing his cell phone, breaking the line phone, stealling his moms money.... But he is not gay. He left to save being in prison when the guy died.

Bold move on one the young ones part, but although Cairo reaches out to him physically with a hug, and tells him he loves him, it is still not the same as the final scene shows. Congratulations to you the actors. A brilliant performance. I was able to feel their feelings.

I loved this film so much. I super identified with Lolo and would die to have someone like Caito come into my life... I really wish there was more to the story. I really became invested in both characters. One of my other favorite characters was the mom- she was amazing. On a side note- anyone else noticed the little brother was somewhat of a sociopath???

Although progress has not been perfect or complete, the new generations are much luckier with more acceptance and opportunities than what we had decades ago.
Curiosamente hay otra película que tiene el mismo nombre. Pero salvadas esas diferencias, esta versión argentina es más fácil de identificarse por el idioma, costumbres, manerismos, geografía, etc. Quizás algunos puedan decir que se trata de otro film al estilo "coming of age". Caìto y "Lolo" tienen buena química aunque tienen poco en común. Pertenecen a familias de capas diferentes de la sociedad. Caíto parece no tener mucho futuro más que trabajando y está a punto de transformarse en un fugitivo de la justicia además de una enfermedad que no se revela salvo por las pastillas que debe tomar. Tiene un cuerpo privilegiado y trabajado y es "aventurero", gusta de disfrutar de su libertad. "Lolo" es el "nerd" del colegio, intelectual, lee libros que son inusuales para su edad, tiene combates internos por su homosexualidad reprimida o no asumida a pesar de que sus padres no ven "inconveniente alguno" en que lo sea. Parece que él no puede reconciliarse consigo mismo. Su cuerpo es flacucho y contrasta con la fisonomía de Caíto. La "amistad" es auténtica, es muy agradable y cálida entre ambos y como espectador disfruto mucho el "seguirla" en la pantalla. Escenas sencillas y cotidianas. Pero hay una pregunta que me queda en el tintero. ¿Se dio cuenta Caíto de que Lolo es homosexual y que está comenzando a tener "sentimientos especiales" hacia él (como dice la madre)? Creo que si estuviera preocupado porque puede en cualquier momento ser tipificado de homicida no le importaría mucho. Lo vital es estar "encubierto" y a "salvo" de la persecución policíaca que se le puede venir encima y no si el pibe de la casa gusta de él o no. La ausencia de sexo en una película de temática gay es en este caso un alivio. Parece que muchas películas necesitan mostrar una relación carnal entre dos hombres. Cada director entiende si se justifica o no en su guión. Pero aquí el beso es casi propio de alguien que recién comienza a expresar sus afectos. Lolo se está enamorando de Caíto, y éste no es un objeto sexual de sus apetitos adolescentes (y ser gay en la Patagonia no creo que sea sencillo: siempre las grandes ciudades son los mejores lugares para vivir la homosexualidad). El "naîf" beso de Lolo refleja su inocencia, inexperiencia y sobre todo el cariño que siente por Caíto. No me sorprende el beso pero sí el abrazo de Caíto. Un heterosexual que descubre que se fue de camping con un gay en medio de la nada no debe sentirse muy bien que digamos. Pero él reacciona con abrazo "varonil" entre dos hombres y Lolo escucha esas palabras que todo ser humano quiere decir o escuchar sea homosexual o no: "te quiero" ... aunque no es "te quiero" que Lorenzo hubiera querido escuchar. Me gusta mucho esta película argentina, el cine argentino es de excelente calidad, Nunca desilusiona. Los paisajes van más allá de la descripción. Un maravilloso telón de fondo.
Yo la hago mas sencilla. Lorenzo sabe lo q quiere y estudia p progresar. Caito es un tiro al aire. Desconsiderado, peleador...va a terminar en cana igual q su padre. 🤷🏼♀️

Please tell me Caito is not a bad guy. The ending is heartbreaking... he just wanted the money he was told he has earned from work but never got a single of it. He just needed it to pay for his problems with his own family.. I just really felt bad for him..

I know this is a wild concept...but books are things that now days have thousands and thousands of identical copies of. I understand the god like pedestal books had in the days of monks and scribes where there would be ONE copy per book. But the weird foaming at the mouth thing book worshipers do now...I dont get it. I'm sure that Catos deep feelings, come from him getting unconditional acceptance and love from the younger boy. I'm sure that Caito, could have turned the younger boy into an occasional sex object, especially when they were stoned. Caity has far to much respect for the boy to use him like that, if he's basically straight, he knows, it would be cruel, to start something that would have a dead end.

Curiosamente hay otra película que tiene el mismo nombre. Pero salvadas esas diferencias, esta versión argentina es más fácil de identificarse por el idioma, costumbres, manerismos, geografía, etc. Quizás algunos puedan decir que se trata de otro film al estilo "coming of age". Caìto y "Lolo" tienen buena química aunque tienen poco en común. Pertenecen a familias de capas diferentes de la sociedad. Caíto parece no tener mucho futuro más que trabajando y está a punto de transformarse en un fugitivo de la justicia además de una enfermedad que no se revela salvo por las pastillas que debe tomar. Tiene un cuerpo privilegiado y trabajado y es "aventurero", gusta de disfrutar de su libertad. "Lolo" es el "nerd" del colegio, intelectual, lee libros que son inusuales para su edad, tiene combates internos por su homosexualidad reprimida o no asumida a pesar de que sus padres no ven "inconveniente alguno" en que lo sea. Parece que él no puede reconciliarse consigo mismo. Su cuerpo es flacucho y contrasta con la fisonomía de Caíto. La "amistad" es auténtica, es muy agradable y cálida entre ambos y como espectador disfruto mucho el "seguirla" en la pantalla. Escenas sencillas y cotidianas. Pero hay una pregunta que me queda en el tintero. ¿Se dio cuenta Caíto de que Lolo es homosexual y que está comenzando a tener "sentimientos especiales" hacia él (como dice la madre)? Creo que si estuviera preocupado porque puede en cualquier momento ser tipificado de homicida no le importaría mucho. Lo vital es estar "encubierto" y a "salvo" de la persecución policíaca que se le puede venir encima y no si el pibe de la casa gusta de él o no. La ausencia de sexo en una película de temática gay es en este caso un alivio. Parece que muchas películas necesitan mostrar una relación carnal entre dos hombres. Cada director entiende si se justifica o no en su guión. Pero aquí el beso es casi propio de alguien que recién comienza a expresar sus afectos. Lolo se está enamorando de Caíto, y éste no es un objeto sexual de sus apetitos adolescentes (y ser gay en la Patagonia no creo que sea sencillo: siempre las grandes ciudades son los mejores lugares para vivir la homosexualidad). El "naîf" beso de Lolo refleja su inocencia, inexperiencia y sobre todo el cariño que siente por Caíto. No me sorprende el beso pero sí el abrazo de Caíto. Un heterosexual que descubre que se fue de camping con un gay en medio de la nada no debe sentirse muy bien que digamos. Pero él reacciona con abrazo "varonil" entre dos hombres y Lolo escucha esas palabras que todo ser humano quiere decir o escuchar sea homosexual o no: "te quiero" ... aunque no es "te quiero" que Lorenzo hubiera querido escuchar. Me gusta mucho esta película argentina, el cine argentino es de excelente calidad, Nunca desilusiona. Los paisajes van más allá de la descripción. Un maravilloso telón de fondo.
Yo la hago mas sencilla. Lorenzo sabe lo q quiere y estudia p progresar. Caito es un tiro al aire. Desconsiderado, peleador...va a terminar en cana igual q su padre. 🤷🏼♀️
