I want this case badly but im disappointed in the difference between the two models. The TG doesn't include the PWM fan hub in favor of keeping the price the same between the two SKU's.
Also, I reached out to Fractal support and they informed me they will not sell the PWM hub or either side panel separately.
Very interesting to see they were willing to send you parts allegedly unavailable for sale to the public.
Thank you for putting a 360 rad in the front. I was having a hard time even finding pictures of it. Yeah the specs say it can have one, but there wasn't anything showing what that would actually look like. I was able to get the black one on release.
i really love that case, especially the black version with the brass accents, don't know what happened at fractal but man their new cases are really nice compared to the old plain box design like the define series.
It’s a nice case definitely, and I love the incorporation of wood and would like to see this more. To big for me personally.
Would love to see one of these scaled down to like an NR200 size or smaller maybe and bring the mesh all the way forward TG option not required for me personally.
@2:56 Whoa, there! No, you are not correct. The "physics" and "thermodynamics" do not say that most of the heat will exhaust from the top of the case because these cases have fans in them which provide more than enough energy and momentum of air in order to overcome simple convection currents which would only allow exhausting of heated air through the top of the case...
Looks like an old VHS storage case and I love it.
Curious - with the 4090 in there - is there still enough room for the side mounted fans & bracket in the lowest position if you wanted to use the mesh side panel for extra airflow/cooling?

sweet build. quick one, is the position of the rads ok in that? am thinking of building it with 360 rad but cant mount on top. and i saw some video mounting like that is not optimal. thanks

I am so upset that days after my build is complete, this case which is my aesthetic to a T comes out.
I hope a larger version comes out and with some side intakes as well, I’d sell my EVO at a major loss to get a larger mesh version of the North.
Recently I put together a SFF build so I’m not in the market for a new case, but as soon as I saw this one I can’t stop thinking about it. Now I’m thinking of swapping to this.

I haven't fallen for a case this hard since the Tower 900 came out. I can't wait to build in this thing if I can ever manage to get my damn hands on one. LOL.
do you even need 120 exhaust at all with 2x140mm input? Would air escape top and back by itself just with positive pressure ?
Can't decide if I want black or white, mesh or glass version :P
The Walnut version of the front panel would actually match my desk... I mean I don't really NEED a Torrent on my desk, anyway...
I like the North a lot better TBH. Moving away from large enclosures

I like the aesthetics of the case. Pure glass and metal alone are getting boring. Wish there were more options of cases with such nice touch and personality. Thank you for the review.

It is nice to see something very different in style & succeeding to keep Airflow & buildquality, I think this would be the case for Stock Noctua coloured fans.
We still have them in stock down here, although the reason may be because they are $229AUD 😬
Hi! Would you say that a slightly longer 4080 (337mm / 13.27”) would fit with your radiator solution? I can see that there’s still some room left at 05:03 in the video?
without a rad there it holds a 355 GPU. Rad is around 25-29mm. So a 337mm card wont fit with a rad in the front.
The 4090FE is 304 so techincally a 310-315 should fit but it will be really snug.
So either get a 240 on top for CPU which wont be ideal. Get a Air cooler or get a shorter GPU if you want this case.
Or get the Mesh use the side bracket in the top position and mount a 280 there if its possible but you will hide your pump and ram and possible back fan.
If you dont care about RGB its still an option.

Did you try to route your AIO tubes down, around the GPU instead of up like you have it now?

So much gamer RGB in a case like this is.... wrong.
The Mesh makes the RGB a bit more subdue and just having some plain White/pale orange RGB will look great
