Thank you to everyone who allowed me to do this for the past 8 years. It wouldn't have been possible without the support of my viewers and this isn't lost on me. It's hard to give up on something that you've spent this long building and this whole decision process has been surprisingly emotional. Maybe we shall meet again✌
i am so sad to see you go! You were a huge inspiration and such an awesome talent to watch and learn from over the years! I wish you the best! Also do you have any cameras you want to sell or any filming gear that could help take my content to a better level? I am a smaller channel trying to step up my game and If you have any gear that may help me i would be interested in purchasing some stuff! Thanks again and I hope you enjoy the extra time with the family and friends and things go well!
I hear ya, I took a big step back when COVID hit and still working on getting myself & my home at a state where I feel comfortable to be spending time into creating and posting media again. Also need to figure out keeping my physical health in balance.
It's been great working with you, Brian. I loved the tours of factories we did together in China and regularly think of that crazy trip. It'd be great to work together again some day on a build. Best wishes for what's next!
I just want to say, thank you so much, Brian! Your channel has been amazing to watch grow from the beginning! Kudos to you for sticking around so long and many thanks for all the quality content you've given all of us!
As a person that has been subd since 2017 or 2018 im sad to see you go but I understand life choices. Best of luck to you and your family in the future.
Imo you're a good and honest man. This is a frank and honest explanation of what to expect when creating video content for the world. I've learned many lessons from you and I appreciate all of your efforts. All the best to you and your family, brother. Thank you.
As a father of 3 kids i respect your decision entirely. Spending time with family is more important than a little extra income. There is something to be said about quality of life and time to just enjoy family ans friends. Think you are making the right decision. Ive been following you since your "viewers rigs." Was on one of those episodes where my kid had broken one of the fans when building. Its been a long and fun time watching your channel grow. Again, much respect from me and wish you the best.
Dude! You don’t owe anything to anyone. I dabbled with the idea of doing my own channel a number of years ago, but I haven’t and may never do it because of what I see creators like you go through. Like you I have a good job that has it’s own stresses and I don’t want to take away more time even if it is for something that interests me. In the end we need to be accountable to ourselves and do what we need to do to maintain that balance. I have enjoyed your content over the years and while I can say you will be missed, I completely understand and I wish you and your family the best! Take care!
I hope the best for you, I enjoyed your content over the years, for sure you will be missed. But you have to do what is best for you!! Hopefully it means you now have time to really put that racing sim to the test!
« Living my life instead of filming it. » The old guy in me love this quote. Take care man. I think braking free from the TH-cam stress is very positive thing.
Brian, I support your decision. Maybe you can also go visit Salazar. Take care Brian. Thank you for all the great videos. Wish you and your family the best.
First video of yours that I saw was the NZXT Manta build as I loved the case and your color choice for it peaked my interest. Shortly after I spent a few years recovering from a terrible medical incident so while I was bed ridden I watched all these custom build videos on youtube including yours; and they always kept that drive in me to try something new with PC hardware when I would feel better. Back in 2019 I finally got the chance and modded a Phanteks Shift with a dremel and even a waterjet cutter from some shop in town to cut out a hole and fan mount on the rear plate and some vents on the front plate for better airflow (also dremel the SSD tray out to fit the fan to the rear panel. Seriously though thank you for all the work you put in for us, tech youtubing is no easy task and doing it this long definitely takes a huge toll. We all understand and wish you the best in the future, and again thank you for the many great years!
Ah man, tough to hear. I discovered BPS on YT only somewhat recently (a GN video a year or two ago? tour?) but I remember the case modding stuff from a while back. As a much smaller TH-camr who similarly reviews and builds gaming PCs with some other content mixed in, I have to admit, this is something in the back of my head that I'm afraid of. I like building PCs, always have, probably always will. I don't make the most bestest videos (ha) but I do enjoy it though I have had a limited return on my efforts. Similarly to yourself, the financials for me running my channel aren't great, I've had to essentially gut the budget for the channel this year and its definitely goofed up my plans. I still want to make videos and I will, just, not a much as I would have liked to in my head. I have estimated the costs of scaling up and I haven't becuase I just wasn't sure if it would work. Anyways, hopefully reclaiming a bit of your time provides you with what you need to re-energize other parts of your life. Good luck!
Best of luck Brian. I appreciate your content and have enjoyed watching over the past few years! Was great to have the chance to meet you when I picked up a case from you a few years back.
It really feels sad to see someone go like this. But i also understand all the reasons you explained in the video. I hope you have a good time ahead my friend.
Brian, it’s okay. It really is. Taking care of yourself is the most important thing. That’s something I had to learn before approaching what I love with a new light. Twitter is always on. Reach out anytime.
Brian, you f*cking rule. Thank you for all of your contributions to the PC enthusiast community. Have always loved your videos and even though we're sorry to hear you're leaving, happy to know you're finding balance in your life and that you're pursuing what matters most to you. Best of luck with everything and please remember that your fans will always be happy to see you again someday! 👑
I understand completely and I completely agree with your statement on living in the moment. I’ve enjoyed your content and maybe sometime in the future we’ll get to see you again!
I am sorry to hear this man. But you are right about a lot of the stuff you said. I wish you the best thanks for all the good videos that we all enjoyed.
Thanks for all of the content you provided! I hate to see you go, but I totally understand why you’re doing it. Best of luck on whatever the future brings!
I'm glad to have met you through TH-cam, man. The trips to CES were always a great time, and I always enjoyed seeing your content. You inspired much of how I do what I do on my channel, and this move you're making continues to do so. You're a good dude, and a good friend. Here's to enjoying our hobbies!
I remember watching you in middle school man. I'm just not too into PCs anymore, so I didn't watch anymore, but I wish you the best man. Always hurts a little when channels like you, that I used to watch, go down.
Thanks for everything, Brian! Long time subscriber here. Wish nothing but the best for you and your family. I feel that we can both agree that PC Building isn't as exciting as it once was, considering the cost to performance these days.
even tho my viewership was not frequent , im happy to have stumbled upon your channel and been appart your follower base to be honest . much love and care from a fellow pc enthousiast . have a great rest of your life good sir raptorgar
Dear Brian. Thank you for the calm, very coherent and wise explanation. I particularly appreciated your intelligent reflections on the superficiality of social media and how it actually detracts from real life and real, genuine experiences. I hope that your stepping away gives you the time back and the space to find more value in your other pursuits. This cannot have been an easy decision for you but it also sounds like you were no longer enjoying yourself and were feeling burdened and trapped, which isn't something that people need in their lives. Wishing you all the best ☸️
Love you buddy. I don't comment often, but I do watch. Best of luck to you and whatever is next. Family time is everything so I definitely support you for that. I wish you were able to do this full time, but it's definitely not easy. The fact you got this far is a huge achievement, never forget that.
4:53 I do agree with that... in some point in your life, you reach to just want live normally. no stress, no need to record in order to remember everything. I myself stopped taking the phone around with me. I don't want upload pictures to social media. I just want to enjoy the moment now days.
I have never followed you, and I do not follow a single person on social media unless they are a IRL f2f actual friend, but I previously have taken some quick glances at your videos, and this video is one of the few talking-head videos that I actually watched through to completion (I still have never fully watched a single video from start to finish made by Linus Tech Tips and all the other talking bobbleheads on social media). It sounds like you have reached an enlightened epiphany about social media, so congrats on realizing just how much time and thousands of precious hours of their lives that people waste on social media, either watching content, creating content, trying to "go viral", or trying to be an "influencer"!!!! With myself being a child of the 1980s and 1990s, it was awesome to go to a concert back then and totally be in the present moment, enjoying a concert without looking across a sea of glowing cellphone screens. Nowadays, many people do not fully experience a concert because they are too busy recording, livestreaming, and taking selfies. When my wife and I go to restaurants, we actually stare into each other's eyes and have very interesting conversations (we've been married for 18+ years now and still keep things very spicy ;-) , while many other tables next to us have a guy and girl both staring at their cellphones and not talking (booooorrrring!). I have honestly never been "influenced" by a single sycophantic influencer; "influencers"" are really nothing but modern-day shills. I tell people that if they really want to make smart purchasing decisions, they should learn to do cost-benefit analysis, prioritizing their need, wants, must-haves, nice-to-haves, and deal-breakers. They should buy products with the intent of *NEVER* showing off their purchases on social media. They should also not follow a single so-called "influencer" shill (a total oxy-moron imho). If you can reduce ego, avoid the need to brag about your purchases on social media, and ignore *ALL* influencer shills, your purchasing decisions instantly become a million times smarter. And you also free up countless thousands of hours of your life due to not vlogging, livestreaming, creating videos, and not watching all the fake influencer shills pimping products on social media. So enjoy your life to the fullest extent now that you have broken your addiction to social media! Social media disorders are a real class of modern-day mental health disorder.
Love ya buddy. Enjoyed watching your vids throughout the past few years. Wholeheartedly agree with your statement regarding experiences and being in the moment. Best of luck to ya in the future!
Ah, I'm gonna miss you, and your videos. Your builds were always beautiful to look at, even if you didn't think they came out good. On the other hand, I can completely agree with the sentiments about all of the tourist destinations being flooded with people who have their phones out. That being said, I don't mind if someone is genuinely trying to capture a memory. But its hard to tell who is trying to capture a memory, vs someone who is clout chasing. I'd like to believe that they are capturing a memory, but sadly, I know that's not always the case. Thank you for everything that you have provided for us entertainment wise, and your thoughts and opinions were always something that I valued. Hopefully this will also allow you some time to enjoy some of your other hobbies as well, such as RC cars. Thank you for sharing that interest as well, and taking us along on those adventures. There isn't anything more that I would ever want for someone other than to have a little less stress in their life. So if stepping back for a little while will help bring you a little less stress in your life, then so be it. I will remain subscribed, so when you do post another video, I will be sure to catch it. Take care, stay safe, and thank you for everything. Cheers!
Thank you for these years, you always seemed to me like a very knowledged and reasonable guy. Hope to see you around from time to time whenever you feel like it will be fun to share something with us. Thanks again.
Totally understandable. Thank you for the update and not just disappearing. I don't comment much but I thought I'd just wish you and yours all the best and good luck on all your endeavors. Also happy 4th everyone!
There are a lot of channels, but you definitely brought something unique and cool to your videos. You will be missed. Thanks for everything you shared with us and I hope this is the start of a great rest of the year. Onwards and upwards. 📈
I'm sorry to see you go, but I fully understand and agree with the points you've made about everything (including modern societal trends). I wish you all the best.
Brian, first off I'd like to say thank you, I've really enjoyed your content over the years. Your style, cadence and video ideas have been great, and something I'll definitely miss. Secondly, you haven't failed in the slightest - if anything I'd argue that the algorithm/youtube has failed you. I noticed that I wasn't seeing your videos appear on my homepage even though I am subscribed to your channel and I had to move over to my subscriptions page to see if you had published something new (there's a few other channels I have seen this with too, so I think it's a wider problem). Finally, I'd like to congratulate you on coming to the decision to call it a day, I've been grinding away at growing my own small business for the past 5 years with limited to no success and am fast approaching the same decision to call time on it and move on. For me it's less about the struggling to get everything done, but the wasted off hours/energy spent trying to work out what I can change or do to move things in the right direction that have really drained me emotionally and physically. All the best for the future, and thanks again. As a side note, I couldn't agree more with the "old man" rant about living in the moment. I'm seriously considering going back to having a dumb phone, an MP3 player and only using a proper camera so that I'm not always connected to everyone/everything.
Oh man, this hit me right in the feels. Ive been watching you since you did that giveaway collab. Have loved your builds, your presentation, and your humor. While im sad to see you go, im.haooy rhat youll have less stress and more family time. Good luck and hope to maybe see you pop up from time to time!
Thanks for the content mate. You need to do what's best for you and your family. As someone moving from PC to console gaming, priced out of the PC gaming market sadly, I can appreciate the difficulty of hanging up your hat from something you've dedicated so much time and effort into. As an older bloke myself (50), I certainly get not needing to document every waking moment. All the best Brian, and thanks again for the content you've provided.
Good for you dude, may be the old man in me resonating with what you said, but ive found myself wanting to enjoy my life more and and wanting to "be in the moment" ( for lack of a better description). All the best for the future and thanks for all your content.
Best of luck with the future mate, can definetly feel where your coming from. been a few years since ive walked away from media work & the time at home has definetly been worth it.
I have been a subscriber since the very beginning. It is very sad that you are saying goodbye. I hope that one day you can still share something with the tech world. Best of luck moving forward
3:54 strikingly reminded me of myself in 2015 when after 7+ years of devotion i said 'Im just happier not raiding in World of Warcraft anymore' of which i mean no offense or criticism to the game in its past or present state but it was the right choice for me that led to better and more fortunate endeavors in my life and so i hope your choice now leads to similar success
Much props to you to look at whats best for you and your family. Life is short, older you get, its rough and enjoy your family, if your children are young, please hug them, play with them.
Totally get it. Thanks for all the knowledge you have shared over the years! And thanks for making these parts available. Always great to see parts finding a new home. May your best years be ahead!
Thank you, Brian! Your content was always insightful and informational. I even got a few build ideas. You do what brings balance to your life. Hope to see other content you may do in near future.
Hey, Brian. Thanks so much for all your hard work creating content for us all these years. It's sad to see you go but completely understandable. Channels your size were the ones hit the hardest by youtube's policy changes the past few years. Anyone in that 100k to 300k sub range before 2020 has been devastated. Almost eveyone with your size of channel has left active use of the youtube platform since growth completely stalled or regressed regardless of content output. Project Baron is still my favorite Caselabs SMA8 build and it's a nice video series to rewatch even though it ended in a case of explosive diarrhea of coolant spew. Definitely keep the channel up so you at least hopefully get some residual income from it.
I'll miss you. Your "old man takes" were a true breath of fresh air and a very different outlook compared to the typical reviewer. And you did some unique cool stuff.
We love you Brian! We hate to see you go, but unfortunately, all great things come to an end. Hopefully, this is not gonna be a permanent "goodby" situation, but more of a "see you next time" situation
Thanks for the good times and good videos over the years. Glad you're taking time to do what you feel is going to be best for you and hope that everything stays well for you and your family.
Take care bro. The most important thing is you and your well being. This decision will free up more time for yourself and to be with loved ones more. That sounds like a win to me. Good luck with everything and thanks for all the vids!!
I hate that you are leaving us. I will miss all your great content. Good luck in whatever you do, I will follow you on Twitter. Good luck 👍 & God Bless!
I am 55 Sir so I totally get it. Enjoyed much of your content and FYI I've struggled myself trying to get back to "real life" in that, even if my wife and I go out for dinner or to some destination I often leave the devices at home to avoid distraction and live in the moment and enjoy what's in front of me more, enjoy my company more etc. along with some unfortunate health issues of late adding to mental stress and anxiety I am trying mor and more to just enjoy and appreciate simpler things in life and yes it is true, a large percentage who grew up with tablets, devices, social media definitely have a harder time grasping these concepts. I say this as someone who LOVES tech and has tinkered and experimented and modded since before the Commodore 64 debuted, but I DO miss simpler times more and more as I get older, oh don't get me wrong, I am far from the old man screams at clouds stage so far as I could not imagine life without modern conveniences and internet etc but at the same time I am admitting I am addicted to much of it and the only one that can change this in the end is me, oh and believe me I am well aware of the irony as I share this ON TH-cam but eh, I figure maybe some will read this and maybe see some similarities with themselves and maybe see they are not the only ones having these thoughts or reflecting on such things. So thanks again, good luck in all your endeavors and I hope you find the fulfillment and balance you are looking for.
I have a lot of respect for those who aren’t afraid to swing and miss. Most people are too scared to even step up to the plate. Loved your content when I found your channel. All the best to you.
Thank you to everyone who allowed me to do this for the past 8 years. It wouldn't have been possible without the support of my viewers and this isn't lost on me. It's hard to give up on something that you've spent this long building and this whole decision process has been surprisingly emotional. Maybe we shall meet again✌

Loved your work. You were one of the first techtubers I followed when I started PC building. Hope to see ya in one of the local DMV Microcenters…
Wishing you the best with where life takes you next!
I hear ya, I took a big step back when COVID hit and still working on getting myself & my home at a state where I feel comfortable to be spending time into creating and posting media again. Also need to figure out keeping my physical health in balance.

Bro! Come on! Tell you what! Take your break. relax, then jump back IN like someone killed your puppy... But, I do get it. Side hustle can be bitch!

#RIP. Loved the content, and hope you find peace off the internet.
"I'm going to live my life now instead of filming it" best statement on TH-cam I've heard for years. Good luck Brian!

Referenced you for my 1st build back in 2016. Hate to see you go. Hope to see you again, brother! BPS!
Best of luck Brian. I appreciate your content and have enjoyed watching over the past few years! Was great to have the chance to meet you when I picked up a case from you a few years back.

Best of luck man. Sucks to see you go, but glad it's so you can find a new way to enjoy life. Thanks again for all the videos.
Cheers!
Good luck with future endeavours. It's been great watching your content from the time we moved to our last house, which was 8 years exactly.
I wish you well, thanks for everything you've done for the community. You're one of the good guys.
You’ve gotta do what’s right for you man. Thanks for what you did, best of luck. Cheers
Good luck man and all the best, really loved your content over the years.
Thank you for all the amazing news and information that you've provided to the PC community!
Stay strong bud, thanks for everything these past 8yrs.
Good luck Brian. Had a good time getting to know you during the pandemic. Be well. Enjoy life.
@bpscustoms sucks to lose you man. Loved the channel but I 100% agree with what you said. Be blessed and free of the headache.
Really loved your video, I'll miss you, but you gotta do what is right for you. So take care and hope you'll have a bright future.
You're a real one man, wish you the best
Can never argue with good mental health and more time with loved ones
Best of luck with the future mate, can definetly feel where your coming from. been a few years since ive walked away from media work & the time at home has definetly been worth it.
I have been a subscriber since the very beginning. It is very sad that you are saying goodbye. I hope that one day you can still share something with the tech world. Best of luck moving forward
3:54 strikingly reminded me of myself in 2015 when after 7+ years of devotion i said 'Im just happier not raiding in World of Warcraft anymore'
of which i mean no offense or criticism to the game in its past or present state but it was the right choice for me that led to better and more fortunate endeavors in my life and so i hope your choice now leads to similar success
Much props to you to look at whats best for you and your family. Life is short, older you get, its rough and enjoy your family, if your children are young, please hug them, play with them.
Thanks for all the great videos over the years, I wasn't here long, but I did enjoy my stay. Enjoy that time with your family, you deserve it.
Don't feel bad for doing what's best for you and your well being man. Thanks for the content and honest info!
Totally get it. Thanks for all the knowledge you have shared over the years! And thanks for making these parts available. Always great to see parts finding a new home. May your best years be ahead!
I know I'll miss you. I wish you good health and happiness and a long life.
Best wishes to you and your family. May compassion, prosperity and mercy guide you in your journey
Definitely keep the channel up so you at least hopefully get some residual income from it.
you kept it real, you kept it honest, you never shilled. you win. thank you for all the time, gonna miss you brother.
Thanks for all the videos over the years man. I'm sorry you're going 😢
Thank you and all the luck for future endeavors.
I will miss you, Brian. But I do hope you enjoy your life more and have fun in your life. Best Wishes!
I appreciate what you've done over the years, you and Nexus are what got me interested me in this scene, so I sincerely appreciate it.
Congrats man, always good to figure out the next step of our lives and grow like this, very stress relieving
I'll miss you. Your "old man takes" were a true breath of fresh air and a very different outlook compared to the typical reviewer. And you did some unique cool stuff.
Thanks for all the content. You'll be missed, but I get where you're at and agree you have to look out for yourself. God bless you!
We love you Brian! We hate to see you go, but unfortunately, all great things come to an end. Hopefully, this is not gonna be a permanent "goodby" situation, but more of a "see you next time" situation
Thanks for all the knowledge and entertainment you provides over the years. Good luck to you and wish you the best.
Respect to you man. I learned a lot from you. Thank you for all you did. I know this is a TOUGH business. Go live your life and enjoy it!
Love you dude. I know this was difficult. I enjoy your content. I’m glad you’re doing what’s best for you. Always best wishes.
I hate that you are leaving us. I will miss all your great content. Good luck in whatever you do, I will follow you on Twitter. Good luck 👍 & God Bless!
We will miss you but your personal happiness (and mental health) is way more important than ours !
Thanks for everything you did and see you one day !
Thanks for your videos, Brian. I wish you success in whichever direction(s) you go in!
Thank you for your hard work! Wishing you and yours all the best!
Thank you for the reviews and pc builds. You have been awesome! Good luck and get some much needed rest.
I have a lot of respect for those who aren’t afraid to swing and miss. Most people are too scared to even step up to the plate. Loved your content when I found your channel. All the best to you.
Haven't watched your videos in a while but I loved your videos, a shame to see you go. I wish you greatness in your future endeavors
