Broken Bennie Lift at Waterloo Station

This is a Bennie lift at Waterloo Station. The notice said it was out of service but it was still working so I took a ride in it. The problem seemed to the doors on the lower lever getting stuck and not closing properly. If you closed them manually, the lift worked.

This happens at Leicester Station Platforms 3 & 4 lift all the time. You have to slide the doors closed manually for the last bit.

Looks like the Door opening and closing timing need ajusting. It Opens its doors then about not evan a second it closes again

Nice video! I love Bennie lifts. I went on this one earlier this year. They had put duct tape over the capacity in the lift when I went on it - not sure why they allow so few people on it! Here's the vid th-cam.com/video/syvaLsHbd-Q/w-d-xo.html

It was doing that on Monday I did manage to get the doors open all the way, may I suggest leaving it alone as it's in a bad way and may break completely

That's very weird these doors while open properly... How purpose to fixtures this elevator installed properly. Pretty nightmare you're trying this elevator cause going be death trap!

If it's out of order then don't go because you can get stuck. If there is a fire you can get stuck. And you wont get out only if the emergency services arrive and you will be in trouble

If the lift is still working. There is no need to stay away from it, it happens lots of times. It’s just a faulty warning and it’s just the door operator that needs fixing

Is too much neglect problem these doors like currently installed was fault! Wasn't service needs fixtures more improvement do better than worst. Bloody hell death trap of this elevator is!!! 😓
